    Decor: 3.5/5
-Definitely has the Mexican vibe going with the outer appearance as well as the interior decor. There are huge open rooms that seats many.
-We were seated in a large private room with other large parties.

    Service: 3/5
-Service was better than I had expected.
-The servers kept coming over and asking if we were fine and wanted anything else. They also gave us a second basket of chips and sauce without us asking.

    Food: 3/5
-Carne asada was alright. The meat looked unlike any other type of meat that I've seen. This was more of a skirt steak and it was a bit dry. The guac was strong and flavorful but too bad we only had one small scoop.
-The rice was plain and the refried beans were average.
-The portions were plenty for two people unless you want to be in a food coma

Eh... the margaritas are full of more sugar and not a lot of tequila.
I thought the enchiladas were just.. well not awful but not what I'd call really good either. They have a very heavy ranchero sauce that's sorta brown. I felt like I was served a plate of brown slop with a fried non descript taco on a separate plate. There's far better Mexican food elsewhere.

The usual Tex-Mex fare. Service is decent. Lunch special is cheap and served very fast. Lots of onions with their fajitas. Generous portions of gucamole and sour cream with your meal.

This is one of my favorite just-before-payday lunch haunts. It has some incredible lunch specials (which I'll list below) and the food is pretty good. It's not very authentic Mexican food, so don't expect to be blown away by the quality of the food. It is, however, really filling for not a lot of money which is just the ticket when your bank account is about to hit empty.

I do have to compliment their queso and their tortillas. Their queso has a really nice blend of spicy and savory. It has heat to it, but the creamy-ness of the cheese is awesome for dipping their chips. (Their actual tortilla chips are less than stellar). Their tortillas are fresh made most days, sometimes you catch some that aren't as fresh, but they have an in-house tortilleria which makes them oh so yummy in my tummy.

I usually grab the $5 cheese enchilada special, avoid the chili sauce though as it's kind of gross and the beef is a little mealy. In fact, I would avoid the beef altogether. Stick with either cheese or chicken. Their rice is okay, I'm not a huge fan of refried beans but the hubby approves. Hubby usually gets the $5 fajita special which is a lot of food for not a lot of money and he definitely digs it.

Good place for cheap food that will fill you up, and tastes A-OK.

Just to tell you what the lunch specials are:
    $4.99
1 Cheese or Chicken or Beef Enchilada (rice/refried beans)
1 Chicken or Beef Taco (rice/refried beans)
    1 Chicken or Beef Fajita (rice/refried beans/guac/fixins)

    $5.99
2 Cheese or Chicken or Beef Enchiladas (rice/refried beans)
2 Chicken or Beef Taco (rice/refried beans)
2 Chicken or Beef Burritos (rice/refried beans)

I think the food here was okay... here's why.

    - the enchiladas I had were too ... tart? I don't know how you say it.. oh, maybe too acidic
    - the tortilla soup was perfect!
    - salsa served with tortilla chips was very good and fresh
    - environment was nice, but the server didn't really seat us in a great spot, and we asked to move
    - server didn't always get what we asked for, so I asked for a few things more than once :(
    - staff was very nice, although not the most effective :-\

My pops (as in grandpops) and aunt came up to north Texas to give a hello and a hi to me, my bro (who just moved to the a of rlington) and my cousin who lives here up here too. After getting lost WITH MY GPS and ending up at another location, I was happy to finally arrive at the correct one. This one.

I was welcomed by chips, salsa and smiles from my familia when I entered the restaurant. The space is huge so it's safe to bring your family of 40 when the holidays peak. The menu offers all kinds of tasty stuff like tacos, quesadillas (I almost stole my brother's order), enchiladas, and chile rellenos. I was also tempted by their brunch menu which is offered on both Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Me being a ceviche lurver, I knew I had to get the tostadas de ceviche as soon as I saw them on the menu. Woohoo for me.

The food took a bit to come to the table, but honestly I didn't care because the delicious, warm and flaky tortillas were all that I needed. My cousin's husband ordered something from the brunch menu that looked ridiculously good, my cousin and papa ordered the tortilla soup that also looked ridiculously good, my aunt had a small taco plate, and my bro ordered the quesadillas. My order was awesometastic, but I only suggest it if you like the spicy things in life. The fish tasted fresh and it came piled on top of crispy tostada shells. Yay for me.

If you're in the A of rlington, I would suggest this spot up for Mexican food. It's a chain, but it's good stuff.

I'm gonna have to rate this Mercado Juarez lower than the other location in Arlington.  This one is more popular, and I'm afraid they don't handle the extra patronage very well.  The setup is really loud and disorganized, and the service tends to be very hit or miss.

The food is still great, and this is not a bad choice if you're in the mood for Tex-Mex in the Parks Mall area.

    ¡Un restarante fantástico!

A unique approach to traditional Tex-Mex, Mercado Juarez has been "the" place to go for many years in Arlington.  The service is, in a word, fantastic, as is the Old Mexico-styled atmosphere.  I will never cease to be amazed at the sheer size of the building, nor of the generous portions, excellent flavors, and friendly waitstaff.  Everything tastes handmade, and the salsa and tortillas definitely are!

Very safe but bland Mexican food. The queso is not the best and tastes like something I could have made at home.

This place has been a favorite of mine for years.  The food is good and authentic at a reasonable price.  The fajitas are excellent.  I get the pork fajitas, which are hard to find other places, and which comes with a flavorful sauce.  The quesa flameado is fantastic and is prepared in traditional fashion (flame and all!).  The salsa is served warm, which adds a nice twist.  They serve a very spicy habanero queso which is something else you don't see many other places.  The staff is attentive, and we almost always leave happy (and full)!

Repeatable Mexican in the Arlington Highlands area outside the traffic labyrinth. We went for happy hour and enjoyed some margaritas, queso, and chicken/pork fajitas. Fajitas are my safe dish at Mexican restaurants and these were standard for this area. The tortillas were a treat...they brought them out with butter at the same time as the chips and salsa. It would be nice if you could get some pickled onions/jalepenos/carrots with the tortillas. Salsa is served warm and was delicious. The queso was a good consistency, but I did end up asking for some jalepenos to spice it up. Prices were reasonable....if I lived closer I would definitely try them for lunch.

Consistently good Tex-Mex.  If you like hot stuff make sure you check out the habanero queso.

The only reason this place deserves one star is because the staff is attentive. Outside of that, this place is terrible. Their website states that they serve authentic mexican food. After eating there I know this is not true. Their salsa tasted like Old El Paso heated up in the microwave. Their  guacamole lacks any seasoning, and their steak fajitas are a joke. The steak tastes like the Tyson steak fajitas that you buy in your local grocery store. Their rice tastes like cardboard with peas. Their beans tastes like it comes out of a can. If you are looking for good Mexican food look elsewhere. If you are looking for good Tex-Mex look elsewhere.

If you have taste buds, don't even bother to park. We lived in Houston for 8 years and know what great Tex-Mex is, and this is NOT it! This food is overpriced, the portions are small, and we even had fake sour cream with our fajitas. The manager admitted this to us when we questioned the horrible taste. The salsa is like stewed tomatoes with spice, and the cheese sauce on the enchiladas is the equivalent of Cheese Whiz. The chips are alright, but they're too thick. The homemade tortillas are too thick, and they don't even know how to make them round (they're more like heart-shaped, or maybe Mickey Mouse head-shaped). We were starved when we came in from not eating all day, which should have made us think this food was better than it was. How this place has stayed in business so long, I'll never know. I can say one good thing-we did have good service. If you go there after reading my review, don't say I didn't warn you.
