We don't usually eat in here anymore - too many kids and/or loud teenagers. Besides, other than salads, they don't have much option of appetizers. Not that it's a bad thing but when it's crowded and you know your pizza's gonna' take awhile, you kind of want something to munch on... their chef's salad is yummy :)
I like their cafe supreme pizza while the husband likes the cajun chicken pizza. Thin nondescript crust but fresh toppings. No complaints. It's pizza. Like the husband says... pizza is like sex - even bad pizza is good pizza LOL
The perfect crispy crust and an excellent variety of toppings. I love odd toppings, so I got a pizza with Blackened Chicken, [Red] Onion,
Spinach, Pineapple, Cheddar, and Mozzarella. It was perfect :)
Memphis Pizza Cafe is a no frills pizza joint that offers about 6 different types of specialty pies, with the option to add toppings to the basic cheese pizza. The crust was pretty crispy considering the number of different toppings on my Cajun Chicken Pizza. Salads, sandwiches, and a calzone round out the menu. This location of the Metro Memphis area chain is in the Saddle Creek Mall area, which makes it a great place to grab a bite before an afternoon of shopping.
Right up front- I grew up in the Boston area, home of Greek Pizza and great pizza. I married an Italian from Long Island. We know pizza. On a scale of 1-5 this pizza rates a 2 in my book. Really no better than Dominos or Pizza Hut. However, I will say it is a great family restaurant. I always prefer local/small chains over national ones and this was no exception. If I want to eat pizza for cheap, I'd rather go here than Pizza Hut even if the pizza is not stellar quality.
