Its funny that this place is called Megabyte pizza Company because the pizza is pretty generic.  I go for the appetizers mostly.  The chicken wings are awesome!  They are super messy and super spicy.  The calamari is also good.  This is one of the only places I have found that will still cook a burger rare, and it's delicious.  The fries are good.  I didn't care much for their garlic bread or the chicken tenders.  The waitstaff is not unfriendly, but they are not super enthusiastic either.  It's close, usually fast, and convenient.

This place is great. I enjoy the creative silicon valley spin they put on pizzas, and the taste is really solid. I have eaten some of the main dishes here for company events (salads with fruit in them, salmon, steak, potatoes, calamari...) and they are all tasty. Though this place is a little expensive, relatively it is actually extremely fairly priced considering that it is plopped in the middle of silver creek country club.

The patio is a nice little atmosphere, and the ambiance is clean. The deserts are very good too (I especially like the cheesecake and churros) and Aldo, the owner, is one of the most friendly people I have ever met. He will sometimes go around to your table and start up friendly conversation (I had quite a few funny conversations with him today in fact) and it makes the atmosphere feel really comfortable and fun. Truly a great establishment.

The menu has a computer theme, they offer an interesting variety of pizzas and sides.  Their pizzas are tasty, the ingredients are fresh, the pizza sauce isn't overpowering, and the appetizers are fried goodies.

My only complaint is that sometimes the service could use some serious improvement.  When I asked the girl at the cash register if they had anything stronger than beer or wine, she said she rolled her eyes at me and said they only had beer and wine.  I thought she was having a bad day and let it slide.  When I asked her for a box to take my leftovers home she gave me a dirty look before producing a box.  So her bitchiness is the root of my 2 star rating for this otherwise family oriented pizzeria.

Great place to bring your family if you have small children, good pizzas, great pear salad, awesome beers on tap sold by the pitcher, service can be sluggish, neighborhood upscale pizza parlor with fair prices.

Even though there is nothing really distinctive about the pizza I do return for the calamari of all things.  It is invariably cooked just right so there isn't that nasty, springy texture that I get so often at other spots.

This place is right by my parents house, so we eat here often when I'm home.  I love the pear salad, super tasty dressing and the crunchy nuts are yummy.  I've tried several of their pizza's (I'm vegetarian) and they have all been tasty.  We usually order to go and bring it home.

Beer and wine only is perfect for a pizza place.  I wouldn't expect a full bar.  I guess the staff is friendly because my Dad goes here often and is always so friendly with them!

I'm craving their pizza now!

Not a big fan of their service; could stand to be a bit more welcoming/friendlier, but I love their OS-2 pizza. I've been here before with a small group, and it was a fun kind of atmosphere, but I'd prefer to take the pizza to go.
Really, it's yummy either way =)
It's less greasy than pizza hut, and I like it better than Round Table because I simply do not like round table, so for pizza around this area, to me, it wins.

MegaByte is MegaGood! This is a nice family pizzaria that offers more than just the typical pepperoni. The salads are fresh, beer is always cold, and the pizza is not only hot out of the oven, but the crust is just the way pizza crust should be -- slightly crunchy :) We usually go on a Friday night, but beware of the crowds. Sometimes it's full of little leaguers out to celebrate a win. MegaByte has a full bar, so if you're not up for pizza, you can always go for drinks and appetizers.

Always great food. A bit overpriced, but not much to choose from in the neighborhood so I guess they can ask for a bit more.

Pizza is always good. Even the cheese pizza.... the best I've had since they use 4 different kinds of cheese.

I've had the pastas, salads, and even the appetizers. The chicken wings are delish, but again pricey for the small amount that you get. The calamari is YUM, but don't get that to go (along with the fries). They get soggy pretty fast. The burgers are great too!

Overall, a good place to eat where you can expect good food fast! But definitely at a premium price.

Eh. ----- That's my general reaction when I eat at Megabytes.

I mean, it's very difficult to screw up pizza.  That being said, strangely, whenever I'm here (which isn't too often) I never want, or order, pizza.  I always order a salad or the lightly breaded chicken strips (the latter of which is what I ordered tonight).  Again, I say "Eh".

It's close to where I live, which is the basis for it's appeal, but the food is just mediocre--and dare I say, overpriced.

Also, a pitcher of Coors Light (don't worry, I shared it) was over $12 before tip, and to me, that's steep.  But then again, I'm comparing that to the unbelievable value that is the six dollar pitcher at Round Table.  Hmm, now I'm feeling like I should have gone to Round Table...but I digress...

When you want a "classier" pizza joint atmosphere, come here.  They have a nice outdoor patio that is perfect on summer nights.

But like I said earlier, this has never really been an "Ooooo! Let's go to ______" type of place for me, but it's a nice change of pace occasionally.

Eh.  Not much else to say; it's the definition of mediocrity.

Service stinks. Walked in and the person there looked straight at me and didn't acknowledge me.

After looking at the menu, I went up to the counter to order but the 2 people there looked straight at me and then turned their back on me.

Didn't bother after that and went somewhere else to eat.

I would give it zero stars but 1 is the minimum.

3 Stars, and I'm feelin' kinda generous

If I were to recommend MegaByte, I'd do so for the non-pizza dishes I've had there in the past.  There are several pizza places more centrally located with pizza of the same or better quality.  The item that makes MegaByte memorable is the pear salad.  If you're into salads, and you've pretty much sampled everything else out there, you should give the pear salad here a shot.  It's different and refreshing to anyone who lives on lettuce when they dine out.  Also different and refreshing here is the nod to high tech minds that had a direct effect on shaping this valley into the Silicon Valley.  There are artist renditions of William Hewlett, David Packard, and Bill Gates among a few others (And is a picture of Steve Jobs just well hidden, or are these guys some Mac haters?).  And the names of the pizzas are all modeled after known computer terms such as the Assembler, the Mouse, the Java, and C++.  Very amusing way to incorporate a little local into the location.

Aside from my strong thumbs-up for the pear salad, I don't get excited about anything else here.  We came by for our approximate once-a-year stop here, and soon remembered why we don't venture there more often.  The dinning quarters are small, and you always have to build your own seating area by grabbing a table and chairs from where they've be flung around by the previous customers.  It's like they don't have a normal seating set-up.

We had a simple pepperoni pizza, and a penne pasta dish.  Both were done well, but there's nothing exciting to report here.  Frankly, what sticks in my mind is that a lot of the food is overpriced.  To give them the benefit of the doubt, they are located next to the Silver Creek Country Club, in the same shopping center as one of the Bay Area's most expensive grocery store chains, so I'm sure the locals aren't turning their noses at paying a few unnecessary extra bucks for every item on the menu board.  However, I see things in terms of relative value, and relatively speaking I don't like paying a premium for an average dinning experience.

My advice is to visit this establishment if you're on this side of town visiting well-to-do friends, but it's not really worth the trip otherwise. You've got better pizza and pasta eats on your side of town

Hmm not bad.

One look at the prices and I said to myself  "hey i should be getting full serivce for paying this much".

Beer by the pitcher! Every pizza joint should serve beer by the pitcher, and I'm glad an upscale-casual place like this has kept the tradition of beer by the pitcher.

All the pizzas are named after computer parts. So I can't remember if we ordered the gigabyte, usb cable, DIMM or whatever. But it had nice big grilled chunks of chicken, red onions and bbq sauce. Yum yum yum! Nice thick crispy crust, and it doesn't get rubbery after it cools down.

I would go back here.

This place is in a very nice out of the way location. It is especially nice to sit on the patio when the weather permits.  The pizza is nothing to write home about, but the other items are quite good. The pear salad is one that sticks out in my head.

The pitchers of beer are pricey but not outrageous.

Two words: Balsamic Vinaigrette! Their pizza is good, but this salad dressing is amazing. I would bathe it if I knew it wouldn't clog up my drain. The pear salad is my favorite. It's made with fresh pears, spring mix, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and that balsamic vinaigrette.
The menu is cute. Everything has a computer name. I especially like the boot-ups (appetizers to us lame non computer people). The calamari is crispy and not at all chewy. The bruchetta, chicken wings, and fries are all good choices. However I would advise staying away from the garlic fries. They are just fries with  garlic powder... nothing close to Gordon Biersch.
The MB burger has never disappointed. It is always cooked perfectly and comes with caramelized onions and thick slices of dill pickle. Try it some time.. I swear you'll be hooked.
The pizza isn't the best I have ever tasted, but it certainly is good and always fresh. A family favorite is the pizza margherita... simple perfect piece of pizza heaven.
Service is so-so and there never seems to be a bartender on duty, at least during the week, but all in all it is a great family pizza place., and the food is great. Oh, and they deliver.

MB Pizza Co. has great pizzas and calamari despite the cheesy motherboard concoctions hanging on the wall. The naming conventions for ordering pizza and their sizes are clever as well. However, the place doesn't really fit the fun atmosphere it tries to convey with it's name and ordering process as the ambiance is very nice to match the Silver Creek area.

The pizza is pretty good compared to corporate places like Roundtable and Pizza Hut however the one time I went there the pizza was very oily.  Probably because I ordered the cobol pizza which has like 3-4 types of meat on it...

If you want something different compared to the Roundtable, Pizza Hut, Fast Pizza.... I would try it.  I definately don't crave this pizza place but I think it's a pretty good.

Very, very good pizzas. Fresh salads with plenty of fixings. Good calamari. Excellent service for large groups, especially if you phone ahead. Easy to park. In a strip mall on Silver Creek, but don't let that dissuade you. Outdoor patio dining. Small bar, but plenty to offer.

I've been going here for almost four years. My boyfriend has been coming here for God knows how long, he even worked here when he was younger. They have THE BEST chicken caesar salad and their MB Burger is exactly what you expect a burger to be, but better. I have never been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered. Every time we come here we're greeted by their extremely friendly staff. They know almost everyone in our circle of friends by a first-name basis. I'd definitely call ourselves "regulars" here, but so are almost half of their guests. If you're looking for a great meal at a great price without feeling uneasy about your environment, this is definitely THE place to go. PS, their veggie calzone is immaculate deliciousness.

Very clever themed upscale pizza place. Pizzas are referred to as "motherboards" and toppings as "peripherals"...you get the picture. Very nice decor, with "techy" art on the walls as well as paintings of Hewlett, Packard, and I think Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
Their pizza is very good, fresh toppings and can be customized. They also have delicious salads (there's one with dried cranberries, walnuts and gorgonzola that's yummy), lots of appetizers (good calamari) and even burgers if you're so inclined. They also serve beer and wine. Nice side patio with umbrellas for dining al fresco (weather permitting). Can be a family place, but seems to cater more to the adult palate.

Never a disappointment. Seemingly just a pizza place from the outside, this place is as they say "More that just pizza." They have one of the best vegetarian pizzas around (I am not vegetarian, just prefer less grease, sodium, and preservatives when possible). Other good dishes are their fried calamari, fish and chips, spaghetti and meatballs and fresh tossed salads. They have a few nice beers on tap as well.
The owners are Hispanic and often have very tasty authentic Mexican dish specials. Ironically these dishes are better than their other restaurant called El Patron.

All in all I highly recommend MegaByte Pizza.

I live nearby - probably the only decent joint in the Silver Creek area for pizza!  Love their pizzas - fresh and great for take-out.  Would not recommend the calamari as a take-out item - it just didn't do well as take-out.  I've had it during a dine-in - not bad.

We need more of these places in South San Jose!!
