Media Park
3 reviews for Media Park
oops i forgot to review this park. we had a boot camp workout session here once. i've been to this area quite a few times and for some reason, i never noticed this park before.
it's super tiny. i think that's why i never noticed. i thought it was just grass connected to the parking lot. *shrug* it's actually a pretty cool, little park. there's a semi-covered cement area which is great for workouts. parking is scarce but you could get lucky on the street.
there are tons of places for food and entertainment. it's a nice place to just relax and people watch.

Today I was in Culver City
When I discovered a park that's oh so pretty....
Media Park got its name as a result of a contest sponsored, years ago, by none other than Harry Culver, the city's founder.
The park is in front of the entrance to the restored historic 1907 Ivy Substation, which narrowly escaped demolition in the early 1980's. It's now home to the Actor's Gang.

Media Park, although smallish in size, has gorgeous big old trees, on which many carvings exist. I love old parks with character & colorful history.
Savor the flavor in my 13 photos.

do not confuse this park with the bigger culver city park a few miles away.
this park is easily missed. its the size of a booger. its across the street from pacificos and trader joes. you will likely miss it, but they have metered parking right in front of it, that's how i remember it.
i come here to park. i come here to train people. i come here to kill time. its got a little grassy area where people sleep, families do yoga and walk their dog, and a little sun canopy area where it looks like it would be perfect for a saturday market or a rag time band.
