The home of the public-access channel for the Palo Alto area.

An awesome center, open to the public, complete with studio, editing suites, and rentable gear.  They have classes on editing and producing.

This is where I learned to do nonlinear editing.  Very cheap class, considering.  It's also where I learned to use Final Cut Pro.

You'd never guess it, but Palo Alto, famous for being a very affluent college town dominated by Stanford University as well as the birthplace of Silicon Valley, has a pretty progressive history when it comes to co-op projects.  The Media Center was spawned by the Cable Co-op, which had ties to the Food Co-op.  History!
