I love this little bar... I think It is best in the daytime. Last time I was there I met Huel Howser and Mark S. Allen. My favorite bartender is Jaquie. And they serve my favorite cocktail the grape dozer. After dark it can get crazy.

Crazy dive bar. If you are looking to take home a grateful man, this could be the place. Inside you get the feeling that people might just pay you to show them affection. Best place to keep a secret.

Woo-hoo! Went to The Mecca last night for Dive Bar and had fu-un! The people working there and the bar's regulars were really nice and welcoming to our group. The karaoke rocked and the beers were ice cold. A great tucked away dive/karaoke bar!

I cannot tell a lie, this is a cool little dive bar. And I would swear to it on Thomas Jefferson's copy of the Koran.
Thursday night is a great karaoke night at this tiny little place tucked away off of Harbor Boulevard and Sunset in West Sac. The barely lit blue lights spelling out Mecca let you know it is perhaps a well kept secret. Only Allah knows how much raging is going on inside this place.

Like Laura B. and Chris B. (who are no relation, by the way) I also visited the Mecca Club for a Sacramento Dive Bar Connoisseurs outing recently.
I would hate to pay their electric bill because that is the most brightly lit bar I've ever been in!
It's tucked away on a little side street, not far from Emma's Taco House and Ikea. Thank goodness for my car's GPS or I might not have found it.
The staff and regulars were very friendly. The beers were cold and cheap.
We were there on a Thursday night which was karaoke night. The karaoke selection was just okay and the books were disorganized but I had a good time singing and hearing my friends sing.
