Stopped by for drinks and apps and perched outside while soaking in the Lincoln Road scene and had a grand ol' time.

The highlight of the evening was the lobster mashed potatoes and the kobe beef sliders. Washed them down with a fig drink and left our outing full, satisfied and impressed.

Not being the biggest carnivore known to man, I'd come back to order the lobster mash and sliders and a nice large glass of wine. A perfect mini meal, indeed.

I'd like to think that I've had my share of fine dining experiences.  I have tasted amazing food, and understand why it's worth paying extra for extraordinary food.

If you are looking for extraordinary, I doubt you'll find it here.  I have to preface this by saying; I did not try any steak or main entree here.  My honey and I decided to eat here after walking up and down Lincoln Square, gawking at all of the bustling restaurants.  We thought the overall ambiance as well as food from here looked the best.

The service was good.  We were seated promptly and our food arrived soon thereafter.  I really enjoyed the little nibble tray that they provide while waiting on food-an assortment of things like wasabi peas and spiced nuts.

Our food on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown.  We decided to share a couple appetizers.  We had the mini sliders as well as the buffalo quail legs.  The sliders were ok.  They weren't seasoned that well, and the "foie gras" was actually a slice of foie gras mousse.  My honey felt it tasted "gamey."  I thought it tasted like pate.  I enjoyed it on my mini burger, but it wasn't amazing.

The quail legs themselves were quite tasty.  They were accompanied by a celery and carrot slaw, which I thought was pretty ingenious, however it was tasteless.  The slaw could have really been the wow-factor to the dish, but it was under seasoned and bland.  The quail legs themselves were crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside.  They were drenched in a typical buffalo type sauce, which I enjoyed.  It also had a blue cheese "bechamel" on the plate.   It had a grainy texture and muddled flavor, and did nothing for the dish.  It also had "polenta fries."  They were too fat, tasteless, and fell apart once picked up. I think the concept was clever; a sort of deconstructed buffalo wing plate.   However, the execution lacked, leaving me to wonder, did the chef actually try this pretty but disjointed dish before putting it on the menu?

We also ordered the sweet potato fries.  They were not fries, but big fat, clumsily cut yam spears.  I love sweet potato fries because of they extra crunch the natural sugars give, once fried.  These yam spears couldn't be eaten right away because they were so huge, they took forever to cool down.  They had no crispness to the outside, and were mushy.  I would think that a place like this would serve the fries in a French "frites" style, but they don't.  The honey dipping sauce was blah.  Bottom line, don't bother with these disappointing clunkers.

Overall, the prices are high, but the portions are pretty generous.  If our food had tasted great, I would not balk at the price one bit.  I think our bill came to around $80 for a beer, a couple glasses of wine, two appetizers, and a side of potato fries.  It was just really disappointing because the food was such a let down.  It was kind of reminiscent to the first time I visited South Beach.  While driving through SoBe you see the backs of super-tanned, beautifully shaped people walking along.  You think, wow, is everyone here gorgeous?  But then you turn around get a glimpse of people from the front, and you realize they are much older than their backsides appear; faces plumped and pulled from plastic surgery.  Good from far, but far from good.

ME:  You don't have to love meat to love Meat Market.
Sen. JOE SCHMO:  You Lie!!
ME : Fresh ceviche. Lobster empanadas. Crispy crab tail. Yum!
Sen. JOE SCHMO: Crabs don't have tails. You Lie!
ME: Joe - sit down and Shut UP!

I came to this spot once for a my first Elite event - a newbie Yelper guest. Unfortunately, the event was at Pacific Time - which used to be on Lincoln at this very spot, but moved. (Newbie Yelper,  GPS challenged and embarrassed.)  Little did I know that just a few months later I would return here with the smooth swagger of an Elite Yelper  -- and enjoy the best meal I've ever had on Lincoln Road.

Looking for a place near the Ritz to cocktail and eat well with a visiting friend - on an expense account? You found it - and much more:

- Amazon hostesses (really REALLY tall women in micro-almost-can- see-hoochie-mini skirts strolling about like hot gazelles.)
- Adorable, knowledgeable, attentive, first rate-professional (did I mention adorable?) wait staff.
- A cucumber mojito and other infused cocktails that can change your life as you know it if you're adventurous and into that sort of thing.
- Crispy Crab Tail. A delectable crispy rich and crabby appetizer that you won't comprehend but will inhale.
- Ceviche so fresh, you'll want to slap it.
- Lobster empanadas on a bed of paper thin beef carpaccio and a delicate hearts of palm salad. (I need a cigarette.)
- Crispy roasted breast of duck. What a rack! DDD - elicious.
- A toasted coconut lime curd dessert - topped with Oreo cookie. (Once again, smoke 'em if you got 'em.)
- The best Miami Spice menu in town - period.

My visiting friend and I ordered from both the Spice menu and regular menu.  We shared, smacked our lips - and expensed the items not on the Spice Menu. Smart, huh?! But, really, we would have enjoyed the evening just the same if we both ordered from their Miami Spice offerings: Duck, Mahi, Rib Eye, Cervice, that magical "crab tail" thingy -- and that dessert! Something for everyone, and nicely portioned.

In the nobody's perfect category:
- There was a cocktail party by the bar when we arrived and it stressed out the bartenders a bit. They ran out of infused vodkas and my first cucumber mojito was a cold/hot mess. It was quickly replaced however by the best tasting cucumber mojito I've ever had. Trust me. That is saying a lot.
- It is a lovely space, but tables are pretty close so it can get loud and feel not very intimate.
- The prices are up there - but the quality of the food is first rate, so...

All in all, a great meatless meal at Meat Market. (Shut up, Joe. Respect.)

Excellent food, can appeal to carnivors and herbivors alike.
Sommelier gave a great recommendation on a Penfolds St. Henri to complement the meat, which was done to our liking.

Place is comfy and relaxed until about 8-8:30 when the crowds roll in and it's NOISY.  If you remember Pacific Time (same place), you only wanted to eat outside as the noise level would ruin an otherwise lovely meal.  MM tried to buffer some of the sound with the great decor, but the space just amplifies sound.

Great place on the Road.

I love when I go some place to eat with low expectations, and then I am surprised at how good it is!  I am not a huge fan of eating on Lincoln Road.  I think most of the restaurants are overpriced and not that amazing.  My girlfriend decided to celebrate her birthday at Meat Market this past Sunday.  We were set up with a nice table outside.  Despite the wind because of IDA, we had fabulous time.  Both the service and food were excellent.
I started with oysters on the half shell.  They were served with this jalapeno vinaigrette which was really tasty.  I have never had that type of vinaigrette with oysters before.  For my main meal, I got the Lobster Crab Cake.  This was truly delicious.  It was hardly breaded, and just fell apart with a slight touch of my fork.  I really enjoyed it.  My friends all got steaks, and loved them.  For sides, I highly recommend the Gouda Tater tots.  This were out of control.  They were almost juicy because of the cheese on the inside.  The mac n' cheese was also delicious.  It is made with thin tubes (think Kraft Mac n' Cheese).  I liked how it was not too rich.  The wine list was HUGE, with wines at various price points.  We skipped dessert and opted for some Tasti Delight.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with my meal.  Yes, this restaurant is PRICEY, but the food is quite good.  Also, they offer half portions for less money, which is great.  I definitely think I will return.

Gorgeous setting with even more gorgeous wait staff.  Can't get the image of the beautiful, leggy maitre d out of my mind, and I don't even like women!  I did not order but my friends' pear cocktail was quite exquisite, both in taste and appearance.  Great atmosphere, appropriately dark without being creepy.  The only downer - guys were not too hot, which is bad news for girls-night-out or when travel with their gentleman "friends."

I been here once and I must say it was one of the best meals I had in south beach. The steak was huge and was cooked perfect and very tender.  It is expensive but if you are willing to splurge and go out for a great steak I recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite places to eat on south beach.
the menu has the perfect balance of selections (fish, steak, etc) the appetizers are great (smoked yellowtail sashim + tuna tartari--YUM)  and the food is muy delicioso. I always get the sea bass or filet. but also the perfect place to get a bunch of appetizers and try everything.  A great scene for happy hour and good young, professional crowd. one of the few places that serve legit oysters.. so if you're an oyster fan, you'll be in love.

only downside is it is very pricy for what you get.

Ok, so I went to Meat Market for their Miami Spice Menu. I loved the vibe of the restaurant, but the service was average. I was dissapointed in that, not everything on their Spice menu was available.
I thought their ceviche was great, although it took forever to get. Next I tried their duck, which looked great, but was over salted.

Last, their dessert was a lemonish kind of tart, which normally I hate all pastries lemon, but this one was excellent.

The thing that annoyed me was the wait. Also, the waiter asked me, "If I would Like a dessert." I said, " I'm having the Spice menu." You can tell he really didn't care, possibly because he didn't even offer the Spice menu to begin with. Which I may add is the pre-requiste to even be part of Miami Spice, is to present the Spice menu along with the regular menu. End point: The moment the waiter knew we ( my friend and I) were not going to be orderding off the regular menu, he lost interest.

Overall, I thought the food was average and the service was too. Cool atmophere does not make up for it.

The short end of it: overrated and overpriced.

I did like my meal but it was overrated and overpriced.  Nothing to ride home about.  It's the type of place that you go to if you have a company expense account or somebody is treating you.  If you're not paying, for some reason it just tastes better.

Service is a bit on the slow side.

Oh, yeah.  Make sure to get reservations.  It's a pain in the ass if you don't do it ahead of time.

Very expensive but in the end, worth every penny. Try to make a reservation or you will be waiting FOREVER and you can easily spend $80 on just a few drinks at the bar. The Spicy Mango Martini was hot, good hot, with a full chili pepper in the glass. I hear that the dirty martini with olives stuffed with blue cheese was pretty good too. So the food was wonderful. You can share a steak (with atomic horseradish sauce) with a friend and be very satisfied. We also split the gouda tater tots - oh boy. Meat Market is where I tried by first tuna tartar - loved it and my first ceviche - loved it too. My taste buds were dancing with delight.

I just got back from Meat Market and I was pleasantly surprised! I was not expecting much based on other reviews and simply because it is on Lincoln Road, but the food and service were great. Yes it is a steakhouse, but the chef really went out of his way to create a very sophisticated menu. I was very impressed and will definitely be going back.

Our server was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the dishes. She was able explain pretty much the entire menu (was having a hard time making up my mind) and her recommendations did not fail me.

My friend and I decided to take advantage of the Miami Spice Menu. For appetizers my friend and I had the oyster soup (hearty and delicious) and the crab tail. The crab tail is hard to describe but delicious - think crab tempura over a bed of sauteed veggies and fruit vinaigrette. It sounds weird but was phenomenal.

We added an order of foie gras because I can never pass that up when it is on a menu. Kudos to Meat Market for having the most affordable ($24) foie gras on the beach. It was quite tasty, a generous portion, and served on top of a pineapple tempura with candied papaya. Once again, wow! The flavor combination was amazing. I would never have thought to combine those ingredients but it was great.

For a main course we had the kobe beef skirt steak and the ribeye. The skirt steak was seasoned perfectly and delicious. The ribeye was also good and came with sweet potato fries - which were more like wedges but cooked perfectly.

Dessert was a fruit curd with oreo cookie topping. I normally am not a fruit dessert kind of girl but this thing was amazing.

So why only four stars? I tend to agree with others and say the service is a bit slow. While I had an allover good experience and my server was wonderful, some of the waitstaff seemed a bit green and the service started off a bit slow. Hopefully it is just growing pains and will work itself out. I cannot wait to go back and "make sure" this place is as good as my first impression.

After many months of hearing people rave about Meat Market, I finally made it to the restaurant. Yes, it is another steakhouse and I'll be the first to admit steakhouses do not get me excited, but this restaurant has a different vibe to it. Located on Lincoln Road, amidst many mediocre restaurants, lies Meat Market Miami. Definitely not the place you are gong to stop by for a bargain meal, but if you are looking for superb cuts of meat and seafood and a large list of side dishes with creative flavor combinations, you've come to the right place.

Entrees range in price from $25-$95. This list includes their signature steaks and their reserve cuts, including a 16 oz prime rancho and coffee marinated bone-in filet mignon from Niman Ranch and a large selection of seafood entrees. We tried the sea bass and it just melted in my mouth. The pork was too tough to enjoy, but I can get past that, as the sides were what impressed me.

I could have made an entire meal out of the sides. Seriously. Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Caramelized Brussel Sprouts with walnuts, white truffle mac n cheese, summer squash cobbler, Gouda tater tots - there's nothing ordinary about the sides (all $8) here. We went for the summer squash cobbler and the wood roasted hen of the wood mushrooms. Both were delicious, though it was the squash that impressed me. Served in a pot pie type ramekin and topped with a pastry crust, the squash was baked as such that the result was a sweet, tender bite sized indulgence. It brought back memories of a Sunday morning breakfast treat and the enjoyment of sweet Maple syrup.

The best service I have had on the beach!

I went there a few week s ago and was totally blown away.
The service is excellent! The waiters are here for your every needs, are polite and know the answer to every question we had (even the one not relating to the food!)

The food was very good, very tasty and a nice combination of flavors.
I had the special ceviche and the Kobe beef sider and  it was a real delight to my tongue. I also had the lychee/passion martini which a good choice too.

While we waited they gave us those grilled seasoned chick peas... very interesting and different from what I expected.

The place is nice both inside and outside. The plates were a bit too small for my taste but still very well presented.  The prices are a bit expensive but the awesomeness of the food was worth it.

While walking by a plethora of restaurants all having the sexy, swank Miami Beach feel to them. We spied everyones food choices and offers on the way by. We ended up deciding on the Meat Market. Seemed packed and a good choice. I figured I could probably find a really good burger or something, that's all I was in the mood for really.

An usher whisked us away to the door to try to get us an inside table, being that our faces were now glistening in sweat from the 90* Miami heat. Got to the door and of course nothing available inside. We were fine with an outside table too though it was getting later in the evening and the sun was down.

After receiving the menu I found that we had just sat down at a steak house. Not just a steak house, one of those expensive steak houses. $50.00 just for a steak, no sides. You would have though "Meat Market" would have given it away but I didn't expect just steaks. Not complaining, those steak houses are good but you need to know that's what you're getting yourself into. So we decided to eat cheap, we really weren't that terribly hungry anyways.

We hit the appetizers menu and got a side item. We got the Kobe beef sliders, the Quail legs (buffalo style), and the sweet potato fries.
They brought out a dish of different types of fried chick peas, wasabi coated fried peas, and other oddities. Kind of Greek/Medi inspired. Then I guy comes by and lets you choose a type of roll, good but nothing special.

The Kobe sliders were good, one came with bacon, but was not amazing, felt as though it needed something. The other slider on the plate came with either foie gras or a pate' on top of the burger. I gave that one to my girlfriend, it tasted really "gamey" to me but she enjoyed it.

The Quail legs were dynamite! They were served like buffalo wings. The meat, very little, but was juicy and flavorful. It came with a slaw that was good. Also on the side were polenta fries. They were good but I couldn't figure out why they were there. Seemed like the full dish missed the mark. All were served on top of a blue cheese puree type sauce, that had really no flavor to it.

The sweet potato fries were good but they should have called them spears. We got six fries and they were massive. The very edges that were crispy were the best parts of them. They should have probably cut them smaller to allow the whole thing to get crispy. When you got to the middle of the fries they were almost like mashed potatoes and they wouldn't cool down.

All in all. The service was good, everyone was very helpful but there is probably a better place to go if you want a really good steak due to location etc. Not sure why they would want to just grab people walking by for $60 steaks. If they have a Happy Hour I it would probably be pretty good, the bar inside looked sexy and sleek.

I took a friend here on Sunday night and first of all, I have to say that many of the reviews about this place are unnecessarily overcritical and, in some cases, I think inaccurate.

We started with cocktails: she ordered a cucumber infused mojito; I opted for a Belvedere dirty martini. Neither of us were in the mood for steaks. We shared a tuna tartare which was presented very nicely and tasted fantastic. The fish was extremely fresh and light.

Her entree was the sea bass which was extremely tasty (I had to steal a bite because that's what I was planning to order until she stole my idea). I had the orange glaze wild salmon garnished with cinnamon which was also very good but perhaps a little too sweet for a fish.

The portions are very reasonable which was fantastic because I managed to leave room for dessert. She had the pistacchio creme brulee which was quite good but I ordered the cheese cake with raspberry syrup and it was the perfect epilogue to a satisfying meal!

The service was almost overwhelming. As soon as we were seated (without a reservation, we were seated in less than 10 minutes), our Belorussian waitress was eager to answer any questions on the wine list or cocktail menu. Water was promptly served and an assortment of breads followed shortly thereafter.

All in all, my experience at Meat Market was enjoyable. I think the place is now established and things seem to be running considerably more smoothly than what some earlier reviews reported. By 10pm, the restaurant was quite full but quality of service did not diminish noticeably. The waitress was also by no means eager to dismiss us in anticipation of the next patrons who would occupy the table.

Typical snobby south beach service. Not family friendly, I went for the first time after being a customer of their last restaurant "touch" for years. Now we have a son and wanted to try the place for a late lunch, we were confronted with the "sobe" attitude and they wanted to sit us away under the sun. Mind you it was dead and we wanted to sit outside under  the shade. They then made us wait as a team of them decided what they would do with two of us and a stroller in a empty restaurant, we felt like we were the william hung family. We got the hint, we left. We understand the trendiness and if it was a busy weekend but a late lunch on a Wed, Lincoln road?

Want trendy Meat? Try Gothom steak house at the Fountain Blue, much better! and they don't mind your little one.

We tried out Meat Market last night for a post-Art-Basel dinner. The space has been nicely refurbished since it was Pacific Time, a big bar and raw bar in the front, nice banquettes along the walls and tables with stylish but comfy white animal-skin leather couches up the middle of the restaurant.

Although the name would suggest a pretty single-minded focus, the menu actually has a lot of seafood options, especially in the apps, where there are about 8-9 raw fish and seafood items as well as several cooked apps. There's also an incredible plethora of vegetable sides (more than 20).

I detected no scent of cedar in the "cedar scented" hamachi crudo, but did smell a bit of a ripoff @ $19 for four skimpy slices of fish, though the flavors (lime, truffle, jalapeno) were good. A smoked corn soup was decent, but not very smoky, served somewhat tepid, and garnishes of crab and pepper salsa sank to the bottom in an unfortunate clump. A duo of kobe sliders came topped alternately with foie gras and white cheddar, and both of them with bacon and caramelized onion; good but a little overcooked to my taste. Advertised "mango mustard" couldn't be detected. A salad of mozzarella and tomatoes had decent cheese but was overdressed w/ balsamic (and roasted peppers & grilled onions didn't really pair well). A caesar was made with limp romaine and was also overdressed.

A buffalo tenderloin brought some redemption, the meat coated in a chile and espresso rub and then topped with a Mexican mole butter. This was a great accompaniment for the lean buffalo. It was cooked much more rare than the medium rare I requested, but happened to be awfully good that way. A conventional cow filet mignon was also good, offered with a choice of more than a dozen butters or sauces for nominal $2-3 upcharges.

A mac and cheese side was somewhat disappointing, the gemelli pasta didn't really work well and the dish just didn't quite come together. Creamed spinach tasted like it was made with fresh spinach, and topped w/ crispy crumbles of bacon and fried onions. Gouda tater tots were white-trashy (in a good way), but the sauce they came with (a hollandaise?) was too lemon-y to pair well.

A "Chocolate Temptation" dessert brought the ubiquitous flourless chocolate cake (a good one though) and a scoop of chocolate ice cream perched on a bed of nicely bitter cocoa powder. An "Inverted Cobbler" might have been better right-side-up, while the nectarine and mango were brightly flavored, the cobbler part was just cold crumbs which brought nothing to the party.

Wine list was pretty lengthy and pretty dominated by cab and bordeaux blends. Our Ravenswood Teldeschi Vineyard Zin was marked up fairly high at about 3x current retail pricing.

All of the staff were tremendously solicitous (possibly even overly so), with a number of people checking in on us during the course of the meal, including a multitude of extremely tall and attractive hostesses. The place pretty much fillled up by the time we were heading out and gets quite lively and noisy.

Though we had some disappointments and I thought almost everything could have been done a little better, I did think there were a number of positives. The flavors of the hamachi crudo were good (if not the price), the buffalo tenderloin was excellent, and the menu has a lot more of interest than you'd expect, rather than being just "yet another steakhouse". Given the dearth of good dining options along Lincoln Road these guys, this ought to be a good addition.

Our appetizer was a ridiculous combination of flavors called tuna tacos. They were tiny, tasted bad, we both agreed were poorly executed. My dining partner's steak, a ribeye, had a spice rub on it that had a pronounced flavor of cinnamon! Completely absurd. Prime meat should be well marbled and tender, this steak was chewy and did not taste like an aged prime steak at all.
To their credit, our server was pleasant and professional.
At this price point, the food quality fell way short of expectation. Another South Beach disappointment sorry to say.

We had a fantastic time at the Meat Market last night.  We sat at the raw bar and shared a couple appetizers.  We got to watch the men behind the bar making the cold seafood dishes, we had great service from a lovely, gorgeous, cocktail waitress who brought us martinis bigger than my head.  We ordered the ceviche if the day, and unfortunately it was WAY too vinegary for me. The dh likes it but toward the end admitted it was a little too vinegary.  We also nommed on some stone crab claws. Huge, meaty, sweet and fresh.

The atmosphere is delightful and celebratory, the service was great and the people watching was devine.

I would give it 4.5, but am going to bump it up to 5.

Both the b.f. and I remarked that this was probably the best meal that we've had in South Beach.  We walked over Thursday evening sans reservations and were lucky enough to get two prime seats at the bar for dinner.

We started the same way David R. did, with the hamachi crudo which was absolutely delicious.  They should probably change the name as their is no cedar scent involved, but it's a delightful, albeit expensive little appetizer.  The jalapeno and lime really give it the hamachi a good taste.  We both remarked that we could have eaten two more portions of it.

We then shared the MM caesar without the blue cheese.  This was probably one of the better caesars I've had.  Perfectly dressed, substantial pieces of bacon and very crisp romaine.

For our entrees, I had the seared Florida grouper with the bacon chipotle conch broth and he had the tropical braised fatty brisket.  Mine was fantastic, but his was to die for.  Very moist, not too much fact and basically melted in your mouth.  For sides we shared the creamed spinach which was perfect and the lobster mashed potatoes that had very generous portions of lump lobster meat.

Finally, I had the pistachio creme brulee, which could have been cooked about a minute longer, but was delicious nonetheless.

This is a definite new favorite of ours.  It's a beautiful and open space with a very helpful and attractive staff.  It definitely lived up to it's name in more ways than one.  The later it got, the more interesting the crowd became.  I'll just leave it at that.  :)  Meat Market is definitely on the pricier side, but well worth the splurge.  A definite welcome addition to South Beach.

Pretentious, overpriced, sub-par quality peripheral dishes, decent steaks: that can be equaled in quality at a dozen other, less-self-impressed, restaurants in South Beach. Beyond disappointing--I berated myself for being allowed to get hyped in the door. Use my remorse as your guide!

"All style. No substance"

While that doesn't totally describe this place, it doesn't come pretty close.

First off, take a look at the menu and notice that for a place called 'Meat Market', there's a ton of non-meat options.  Then take a look at the Kobe beef sliders and wonder how two quarter-sized burgers really have much of a chance of satisfying any diner.

The interior is done in a funky decor, with a relatively large bar - bonus points.  But then they shove so many tables, booths, and an open kitchen in such a way, that a trip to the bathroom resembles an obstacle course from an episode of American Gladiator.

Will be honest - the two appetizers we got were tasty (and both non-meat).  And the 'dinner theater' that was the train wreck of bartenders and pretentious drink orders - definitely delivered some giggles and fun stories.

All-in-all not the stuffy experience that we prepared ourselves for upon entering.  But can't say I would rush back either.

Why would you go here when, for the same price, you could go to any other steak house that serves excellent meat like Smith and Wolensky, The Palm or Mortons...? No seriously, I'm asking.. is it the location? the ambiance?.. it certainly isn't the food. I mean the sweet potato wedges are great, but its pretty hard to f* up a sweet potato.. the meat  on the other hand... just plain bad.... and the ceviche sucked too. I give it 5 months till they're gone

Not even open yet and already leaving a bad taste in our mouths....we had been working with them for well over a month on a 20+ person business dinner, only to be told less than 24 hours prior to the event that they would not be open and therefore unable to accomodate our dinner.  Not cool.

Ok.  Any place that offers a Ceasar Salad with bacon, blue cheese, and red onion is already a winner in my book.  And it was pretty tasty.
We also started off with the tuna tar tar which according to our server was the 'best he's had in his life'.  Those are big words so, we had to find out for ourselves.  And yes, pretty right on.  Im  a lover of tuna tar tar though, and this one was amazing.
The menu had a lot of options even though it's primarily a steak house.  I was eyeing the 16 oz rib eye but opted with the Kobe Beef Skirt Steak.  Perfectly marinated and cooked, and it was served with these spicy roasted peppers, (green and red).  I also got to try the Seabass which was like butter.  The Steak fries were Gi-normous!  Huge.  Again, a perfect side for the Steak.
The entire place had a trendy vibe to it, but then again, what place doesn't on South Beach?  We sat out on Lincoln, which is great for people watching, and the weather was perfectly breezy.  The inside was modern and fun with a nice bar.  The prices were eh, not necesarilly the most reasonable, again, it IS South Beach.  I really enjoyed everything,  I'd come back!

not good... not worth the price. the scene is cliche....it'a not even a meat market in the social sense!  there are too many other better options for a good steak in this town.

i was dubious of this place, due to some of the reviews along with the fact that it was new but was pleasantly surprised. this was the best meal we had in south beach over our week long stay. the service was spectacular even though they were jam packed and yes the food is expensive, but it's delicious.  the Kobe skirt steak and tuna tartar were out of this world.  will def. be back!

We went to the meat market last night and had the most disappointing restaurant experience that I have had in years.  The host told us the wait would be 10 minutes and to have a drink at the bar.  We patiently waited for 45 minutes when I went to check with the staff who informed me that they were having computer problems and would seat us in 5-7 minutes.  20 minutes later I asked to see a manager who informed me that they would not be seating until the computers were up and running.  I asked why they wouldn't just do hand written tickets and he said they were told by the owner that this was the way it was to be.  So my experience was not even food related, but just the worst communication I have ever seen.  We were left to sit at the bar waiting for over an hour.  I told the manager that he would be buying our drinks and that we were leaving and he simply said OK.  Nobody even tried to apologize or offer anything to eat during the wait.  Needless to say, we will never go back and we will tell all of our friends that this place is amateur hour.
