Wife and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  Recommended by a friend.  Very quaint, very romantic.  Great recommendation.

Arrived late on the friday night of labour day weekend.  Let the meadowlark know ahead of time we would be late.  They left our key in an envelope outside the entrance since they wouldn't be open that late.  Very nice.

Room was large and well-equipped enough to be practically livable.  Had a full kitchen including mini-range.  Unusually large refrigerator for a hotel.  Separate sitting area to one side when you enter.  King bed with foam topper.  We have a very nice bed at home, and weren't missing it, which is saying a lot.  Lovely, spacious bathroom.  Single control switch for heat, ac, or off.  Complimentary breakfast.  If only it was open late enough for us to make it (8am-10am).

Definitely staying here again.

A nice spot right outside Solvang. Our room was pleasant with a king bed. The combination of the window a/c and the fan were able to deal with the hot temperatures. Price was competitive and it was nice to be a little out of the city. It is only a short 5 minute drive into Solvang.

Breakfast was a well supplied serve yourself affair. The yogurt parfait was quite good.

On the negatives, the water pressure in the shower was very low (a pet peeve) and there was only one soap which would have to do double duty between the shower and sink.

Overall, we would stay there again. The hosts were very accommodating to help locate restaurants and entertainment.

Cute grounds and not located in the hub bub of solvang.  Nice sitting areas and a BBQ.

We stayed in room #2 (Merlot) for two nights.  It was clean and had a fridge and tv w. vcr.  We had some trouble with our A/C not cooling down the room very well.  There is an additional fan in the room.

When we first arrived there was no toilet paper in the room, went to the inn keeper to get a roll.  The water pressure and temperature wasn't consistent in the shower.

My husband and I enjoyed a short (4-day) vacation in the Solvang / Santa Ynez area, and stayed at Meadowlark Inn for 3 nights.  It was OK - thus, the 3-stars - nothing really bad with the place, just not great.

Stayed in Room #8 - "Merlot"  (cute, I know) - with a king bed that took up the entire room.  Air conditioning stayed on all day, and it only kinda cooled down the room.  Remote for the TV didn't have batteries the first two days (not that we were there much, but still).  TINY shower, beware!!  But it works well, and does the trick.

Cute grounds - reminds me of a farm-style house - one story, wrap around, and in the middle is a nice sitting area with a gazebo, tables and chairs to hang out and even a BBQ if you wanted.

Manager - Meredith - is kind enough, though made us feel bad for checking in @ 6:30pm, because she wanted to go home.  Well, you can't check in until after 3pm, so we took advantage of being there and walked around Solvang until everything closed - we weren't going to wait around just to check in!!!

Nice little breakfast in the morning - can take back to your room if you want to.  Bread of some sort, yogurt, homemade granola, coffee, juices, and sometimes a bit of fruit.

FYI - NO FRIDGE IN ROOM!!  We usually do a picnic lunch while we're going wine tasting to save some mula, but you have to eat everything in the first 2 days otherwise, you'll just have to toss everything :-(

We payed $89 per night, mid-week, and it was pretty comparable to other rates nearby.  Not in the walking area of Solvang, if you really wanted convenience, but only 2 minute drive if you have a car.
