Even though I've been spoiled for the last year going to grad school up here in Seattle where there are many beautiful parks to choose from, I still can't wait to move back home to Sac and enjoy McKinley Park.

Just as many of the other reviews state, McKinley has a lot to offer...
nice route for running, fields for sport playing, swimming pool, tennis/basketball courts, duck pond, playground, beautiful rose garden, green lawns for picnics, etc.

It does seem to get a bit crowded, especially on the courts and the running path, but that just goes to show what a nice option it is! I have lots of great memories of this park and I hope it stays as lovely as it's always been =)

This is my favorite park in Sac.  Excellent running, ducks, roses, b-ball, a playground you can really lose your kid in (yikes!), and a beautiful surrounding neighborhood, this park has it all.

Like noted earlier, it is very well-maintained and has a large variety of activities, from baseball diamonds to a swimming pool.  Good times.

This is the only five star park in Sacramento in my eyes.  And I've been to pretty much all of them.  It is beautiful, and well maintained with a variety of trees.  Yet the grass is so clean and free from debris that you can walk around barefoot!  It has everything a good park should have.  A pond to feed the ducks, tennis courts, a pool, attractive botanical gardens, a really nice running trail, a huge playground, and perhaps coolest of all a public library!  And maybe most importantly, the park feels very safe.  Maybe its the fact that its almost always packed but it feels safer to me than any other park.

Yes there are yuppies around.  Yes its in a pretentious neighborhood.  But seriously, who really cares?  The yuppies have given me no problems so far.

Hey!! You people playing tennis!!

I heard you tell someone that wanted to play tennis that they could only play tennis if they lived near the park.

You're really lucky I hadn't brushed my teeth yet or else I would have laid into you like you've never experienced in your shallow, meaningless life.

Correction. This is not your park, and those are not your tennis courts. I think maybe the bleach from your ultra white tennis shorts may have seeped into your bloodstream and then into your feeble brain. Who the eff do you think you are?

I love to watch all you people. Some of you are really taken with yourselves. I live closer to McKinley Park than you do so if I use your dizzy logic, the park must be mine because I know where most of you live and I live closer to McKinley than you do.

You damned republican bullies (I've seen your propoganda.) Can't you afford a shrink? You all need to be popping something, and I'm not talking about tennis balls across "your tennis court." And if you're republican and this pisses you off, sorry, you piss me off too so we're even.

These are not Your tennis courts. What is wrong with you? You cannot regulate tennis sessions. Don't make me call the enforcer, or come down there myself to referee. I have the extra time to do this. Leave it up to people with a false sense of entitlement to funk up a good thing.

P.S. I dislike republican and democrat bullies.

This is a great park! It has a library, a local pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, a BEAUTIFUL rose garden, tons of big, shady trees, lots of picnic tables, ducks, swans, geese, and turtles in small lake (or really big pond?).

There is also a jogging track that goes around the entire park and it's in the great neighborhood of East Sacramento. The playground area is made of wood and looks like a castle. There are tons of swings and separate area for toddlers and a sandbox for babies.

The only reason why I did not give McKinley Park five stars is because it really needs to get some new paint and cleaned up a little. I know the state of California is going through a lot of budget cuts but it's sad to see a lot of trash in the green murky water. The trash cans are always over filled and spilling out and I'm noticing a lot more graffiti.

Yet, my three year old really enjoys feeding the ducks and playing here so I will continue to take him there every weekend. Bring a blanket for a nice picnic when the weather is nice!

Anytime my friends and I want to have picnic/BBQ this is the spot to go.  They have a great big pond with ducks and a huge playground for the kids.

Lots of shade and a nice bike/jogging trail around the park too!!

I would frequently go to McKinley park when I was in high school. My friends and I would never have the intention to go there--we would always just end up at the park, near the pond, with some crackers to feed the ducks/geese. (And I would always look uneasy because I have had traumatic childhood experiences involving those same geese, but I think everyone has had those).

The rose garden was always beautiful and it was large enough to go for a decent walk and not get bored. There are children "fishing" in the lake, the McKinley library at the corner (perfect for finding a day's reading in the park) and it has the beautiful neighborhood nearby. The parking always sucks, but there are plenty of spaces around midnight (when we went yesterday).

But the most amazing thing about McKinley park-the playground.

The sign on the gate says "No persons over 18 allowed without being accompanied by a child" but we went in anyway.

My God I haven't been in this playground for about 10 years. I forgot how AMAZING it is. It's huge! There entire wooden structure is shaped like a castle and there is a maze underneath that seems plenty large enough at 8 years old but is really narrow when the people playing are between the ages of 20 and 25. I can still fit through the passages, but just barely. They have an amazing wobbly bridge, tall slides, tall monkey bars (my feet didn't touch the ground!) and we frequently lost each other in the maze. Many secret passages too.

And then we swung on swings and they spun me around on the tire swing until I fell, could no longer walk straight and wanted to vomit (and yes, we were all completely sober). I haven't played like that in a very long time and it felt good to relive my childhood for a little bit.

Bonus points for the fact that they have a swing for down syndrome/disabled children (a high back plastic chair with a seat belt like an adult-sized car seat.)

I am here 6 days a week.  I like to know how far I'm running, and once around the park and the little park means one mile.  It may seem boring, but I can actually run 8-10 times around the park.  That is how beautiful it is.  Yeah, Alhambra is right off one side of it, but it is still so serene and quiet.  Perfect running spot.

I have loved this park since I was a 4 year old topless bather . . . Mom forgot my bikini top, so there are pictures of me frolicking in half-naked glory, in the McKinley pool. . . thanks Mom!

Loved this park when I was a teenager, trying to get in some tennis practice (our tennis team pretty much sucked, and our HS courts weren't regulation size) . . . even though it was (and is, still) kinda hard to get a court.

I still love this park, as a fully-clothed adult, trying to get my run on.  While yes, there are way too many walkers, dogs, and strollers to dodge along the dirt path, . . . recently, I almost bit it when a pooch decided to stray from its owner and dart out in front of me, it's still a nice place to go for a run.  It's about .8 of a mile around the main park, and about 1.1 miles if you run your butt around that satellite park too.  Lucky me, It's convenient enough for me to get there on foot and drag my tired ass home, after a run.
Other exercise options: the soccer/baseball field, basketball court (both providing some eye candy of toned soccer legs and the shirtless showing-off-six-packs variety).

For the kiddies.  There's a large wooden play structure that is somewhat divided up for the toddlers and older kiddies.  But, because it's so large, it's a hard to keep an eye on the little ones . . . so tie a bell on them, dress them in day-glo colors, or be prepared to get your butt in there, and hunt down your kiddies.  And, seeing some of the homeless in the park can be used as an educational tool . . .STAY in school!

Onto the pond.  Mucky in some parts, nice in other parts.  Poopy smelling in some parts, not so poopy smelling in others. Tons of duck poo on some parts of the sidewalk, not so much on others parts.  So, go visit the beautiful Rose Garden and smell the roses to get poop smell outta your nose.
Both friendly and aggressive fowl call this pond home, so be prepared to have a flock bombard ya if there's any hint of food in your hands.
You can also catch some turtle porn too.  My daughter calls this park, Turtle Park . . . her fascination with the turtles forced me to have to take some pictures . . . of course, I didn't have to explain that the turtles were actually humping . . . she figured they were doing some kind of "turtle" frog leap.

Stay away from the outdoor restroom building (the bushes are probably a better bet - just don't be stupid and end up getting yourself registered as a sex offender). . . never any TP, soap, seat covers, etc.(just plain icky) And, you are bound to run into someone that is using this bathroom as their own personal changing, showering, and/or dressing room.  So, if the Library building is open, do yourself a favor and use the bathrooms inside this building.  And, if it's closed . . . . try to sneak in behind some wedding guest as they come in and out for a smoke. . . Oh, and beware of the $100 fine if caught smoking on park grounds.

So, there ya go . . . a park with a nice library, other "meeting" spaces, a beautiful rose garden (utilized for many nuptials), pools ($1 for kids, $2 for adults- closed after Labor Day), a huge play structure, crazy/hungry ducks, turtle porn, BBQ/picnic areas, great place to walk the pooch, lots of ways to get your exercise on, and plenty of eye candy getting their exercise on too.

Oh, the good ol' days (gotta love the 70's). . . no more topless swimming for me, but I will continue to enjoy this little gem of a park, fully-clothed, for as long as I am able.

Great place to go for a run.  Open area with nice scenery of nature's finest.  Ideal place to bring your children or stroll around with a loved one while feeding ducks around the lake.. and getting scared shitless from big ass geese.  Yessss, as I was running, I passed a pack of 15+ geese all running towards my direction with their wings up and looking like they were ready to attack.  OMG, definitely a terrifying feeling.  I swear you'd feel the same way if they were almost the same size as you.  BELIEVE ME!!!!!!!!!!

I'm making this park part of a regular route if I get tired running around my neighborhood.  =)

Time to get SEXIFIED before holiday season hits!  That's my goal.  =)

There's been a lot of hating on Sacramento lately, so I feel like giving it a lot of loving.

One of the best things about living in Sacramento, are the summer evenings, before the sun sets, farting around at McKinley Park! Where to begin?

The rose garden, witnessed weddings amongst the buds, had my composite taken here, and also seems to be a favorite cuddle spot for Sacramento lovers. *barf* However, today on my run I peeped a guy with a video camera recording the roses......and people running by!! Gotta love the creepers.

The track, always has something going on. People with strollers, dogs, ducks, runners, walkers, my friends and I, hot guys, hot guys with dogs, hot guys wearing white tees.

The pond, the ducklings are so cute! Sacramento has some of the cutest ducks I've ever seen, all the ugly ducklings migrated to other cities and states...I think San Francisco and Washington.

Tennis courts, even though I suck at tennis...I waited with my friends today to get a court. Apparently the people who knew what they were doing, were doing it well so they didn't want to get off. We left after about 20 min. of waiting. Note to selves: "play" tennis, then hit the track after.

There's so much more to love about this place, I could go on all night. Great spot to people watch too.

I spent over an hour here today as I do at least once a week and loved every moment. The air, the surroundings at McKinley park make me proud to call Sacramento my home!!

I'm a fan of McKinley Park. Its a really nice place to go for a jog, sit and relax, play tennis, have a picnic, take the kids (they have a really really cool playground by the Library), feed the geese and ducks, visit the rose garden, see a little random live entertainment,..... it goes on. Of course there is the Library at the park as well so that is unique. They also have bathrooms at this park for those of you who want to have a gathering here for a long period of time. Its also a pretty decent sized park so there's lots of room for lots of people! Overall, its really a great all around park.

Cozy and well-maintained park.  (The pond could use a cleaning, however.)  I visited the rose garden for the first time this past Sunday; it's fabulous and a must see.  Lots of children and families were eating, playing water games, and enjoying the sun.  The basketball court was busy with folks actually waiting in line for "who got next?"  A nice-sized group of folks held court at the horse shoe area with beers and good in tow.  We even happened upon the most gorgeous 11-month old pit bull that was scouting out squirrels.  I am so looking forward to my next trip.  Next time, though, we will bring a bottle of wine, fruit, and a cheese and cracker plate.

Sacramento--The City of Trees

Yes, that is what Sacramento is known as if you know your Sacramento history, and this park will definitely help prove that namesake. This park has to be the best park in all of Sacramento and I would take any visitor here!!

The number one reason to go here is to feed the ducks in the huge pond/lake which is full of ducks and geese and in the springtime baby ducks which are the cutest things to ever see wading and waddling behind their mom's all around and throughout the water. I started coming here when I was really little to feed the ducks bread with my family and it had to be one of my favorite things to do. So great that I even took my boyfriend here to feed the ducks when he visited me in Sacramento a little while ago so the tradition has stayed with me! It is just so incredibly relaxing and enjoyable and you are enveloped but trees and shade and serenity.

There is a really nice playground which was installed after my playground days but it is a good sized wooden playground that is always full of kids. There are basketball courts, baseball diamonds, bbqs, tennis courts, a swimming pool and the center there even had dog obedience classes we took one of my dogs to once. People have birthday parties here complete with pinatas hung from the trees. And they have a gorgeous rose garden which is a home to weddings every week. One time the groomsmen lost the ring for a wedding that they recruited people from the park to search for it in the grass in the gardens and my dad found it!! That alone should tell you how magical this place is!!!

You won't find a park that has that many things to offer in addition to it being in an amazing location, easily accessible, free street parking (if you can find it ha), but beware because it can get VERY crowded, but hey Sacramento is the City of Trees after all and where else should a sactonian be, but with the trees??

McK is really the only decent park to go for a real run. I like the neighborhood (hate the parking situation though), and the park is big and diverse enough to get a decent 4-5 mile run in without feeling like you've been running in an endless loop for ages.

Unfortunately, I usually just jog around my neighborhood, which means I have to deal with stares/glares/catcalls, but McK is free of all of that. Just make sure to dodge the rabid geese and you'll be fine.

This is a lovely park situated in a lovely neighborhood.  It has a lot to offer.  These are the amenities that I've used there:

1) dirt track.  used it for walking, my version of  "running", and walking the dog.  it is not meant for biking (duh!).  watch out for mud puddles, uneven ground, and bitches who think they own the whole track.

2) library.  used the bathrooms.  lifesaver!

3) community center, adjacent to the library and swimming pool.  went to book sales and attended a free mental health sponsored lunch.

4) garden center.  many plant/flower sales and displays

5) pond.  fed bread to overzealous geese and ducks.  too much geese and duck shit on the sidewalk

6) playground.  it's hella fun!  just go when there aren't any rugrats (like when it's dark)

7) rose garden.  beautiful when in bloom and well maintained.  i've crashed many nice weddings.

8) basketball court.  i don't play.  i watch cute boys without shirts play.

Four woofs!

This is a really gorgeous park and I feel like I somehow beat the system getting to live a stone's throw from it.

Good tennis courts, a nice playground (at least, I remember it being nice back when I was a playground-sized person), a pool, basketball courts, horseshoe courts, softball field, rose garden and a whole lot of interesting ducks/geese/water fowl. Check out the Joey Buttafuoco goose, he's a charmer.

With the single exception of my backyard, this is the best place in Sacramento to lay in the grass and enjoy a Roxie sandwich.

A word of caution though - the birds in the pond will stone cold swipe your snacks whether you're offering them or not, so skittish children and hungry people should steer clear.

Also, running in McKinley park is sort of like LA traffic. I don't advise it.

I love McKinley Park.

The rose garden is beautiful, very well kept, and a pretty good size! It's also pretty entertaining/interesting as all the roses are tagged w/ names and dedications. (Posted a pic of my mischievous puppy, Lulu, next to a rose named perfectly for her)

Great place for cute date, group event, or a calming stroll.  There's a sandy track that goes around the entire park, so it's also nice for those who want to exercise in a nice setting. I think there's probably everything you need for any type of picnic/casual outdoor event:

an area w/ awesome tree coverage (for those who want to be outdoors but not IN the sun)
an area w/ lots of open space for baseball/soccer/kickball/freeze-tag
basketball courts
tennis courts
swimming pool
library
restrooms
playground (w/ swings! lots of playgrounds don't have 'em i'm noticing)
duck pond (although the opaque green is a bit disturbing)
picnic tables
bbq thingies
cute squirrels

So I always have trouble finding lit tennis courts for night time play, and YES, their courts are lit!  and there's like...  8 tennis courts here! Beautiful.

I think probably the only down fall is PARKING. It's really difficult to find parking if you go at prime-picnic hours (think brunch, and early evening about 5:30-ish). Expect to circle the park a few times.  Keep in mind that you WILL get ticketed if you parallel on the side w/houses, even on weekends, unless you have a permit of some sort. Not sure if that includes Sundays... you may want to look that up! I forced my bf to park there... found that out first-hand!

This is a great neighbor hood park.

There are many different activities offered here - children's play ground, pond with birds, baseball field, tennis courts, soccer field and quite a few other things.

They do have public restrooms here too - this has been a life saver a few times! There has been a few times that I have been walking at dusk and it can be kind of sketchy - quite a few homeless people at times.  I usually walk with my dog so I feel fine being alone there . I did use the restroom at dark once though - and I tied my dog to the door of the stall!

We take our dogs here to go walking a few times a week. I also come here with my nephew every once in awhile to play.

McKinley park, is my neighborhood park. Sure it's lively, green, and has geese; but the place is a little toxic. If you decide to run around this park during peak hours, plan on running toe-to-heal with everyone else. Don't forget you ill also be surrounded by exhaust... Mmm mmm good.

Another thing that creeps me out is the blue bond. How do they get it that color. Water isn't naturally smurf-blue. gross. Poor geese.

Lastly. I abhor their tennis courts. If you are ever lucky enough to find an open tennis court here, they have bizarre rules about when you can and can't be on the courts. We have actually been asked to leave because a class was beginning, and they had two courts reserved. I want to reserve some court time!

The times I do like this park is after dark. It may be illegal, but there is so much less traffic, less people, and.... Oh, wait.. Still no tennis courts.

The best and lively Park in Sacramento.
I work across the street from this park.

This park has the following:
1) Pavement side walks
2) Dirt/Gravel (jogging trail) around the park for runners (Its nice)
3) Tennis Courts (Pay to play?)
4) A nice flower Garden
5) A Community Center (They have flower sales there once in a while)
5) Lots of Trees
6) Pond with Ducks,Geese, Turtles, (Fish?)
7) Giant Playground for 12 and under
8) A basket ball court
9) A library
10) Another Community Center
11) Lots more

After work (4-5PM) on weekdays, there are a numerous amount of people running and walking about.; as well as at lunch time.

The flower garden is nice, it has all sorts of flowers there.

From time to time, I watch tennis players battling out.
The basketball court has only two rims; however, the metal nets are the best =)

The community center is tied along with the library. I only went inside once. From time to time, there are events there that run all day. Also, there is a giant pool out in the back (opening in the summer?).

The playground is always full of kids and adults. It has rubbery ground as well as bark. Its a nice playground. I used to play here when I was younger.

The pond is next to the playground, its okay, its fenced.
THe pond is a dirty pond, but is full of life. Lots of turtles and ducks and what not.

I like this park a lot.

Please, go to your neighborhood park.  I'm tired of people coming to MY park, bumping their music, and leaving their trash.  Trash leaving trash.

Seriously, keep an eye on your kids here.  I've seen some creepy guys hanging around the playground watching kids.

Park usage note: Don't walk 3 wide.  Some people are actually there to get a workout, for fitness purposes, not just to feel less bad about having a second grande caramel crappuccino.  Don't let your retarded kid ride his bike on the jogging trail.  Don't let your retarded self ride your bike on the trail.

If you want to run at McKinley park, you're best to get there before 10 AM in the sumer, as it becomes a ghetto paradise.

I thought it would be quite fitting on the anniversary of 10 wonderful years of marriage that I write a review of where it all went down.

Technically, it's not until next week, but I won't be around so this will have to be close enough.

It was a picture perfect September evening in 1997.  It seems like it was yesterday, and yet it also seems like it's been an eternity.  The Rose Garden was so gorgeous and everything looked so vibrant and alive.  It really was a magical night and McKinley Park had a major part in making it that way.

It is places like this that make me long for home and help make Sacramento such a wonderful little city.

I'd give it five stars, but it would be great if the track didn't try to eat my shoes when it's a bit muddy.

McKinley's a great place for a walk or run, and seems to be pretty safe, even if you're by yourself.  I especially like it when the people who clean the park smile and say "good morning" to me when I look like I'm running out of steam.

McKinley's my oasis whenever I need to get away from life.

You can hang with friends or go solo and feed the ducks.  The Rose Garden is a great place to tuck yourself away in when you want some peace & quiet or to just read.

However, on one occassion I took my visiting Dad there, and there were two crazy pigeons going at it like mad.  Since then he refers to the place as that  "porno-pigeon park that Ally took me to."  Thanks, Dad.

Helpful hint: Just remember to tear the bread into little pieces when feeding the ducks. I think I gave one a concussion when I brained him with a piece of bread (larger than normal piece & crappy aim---my bad).

GET THE LEAD OUT! In the late 90s, I used to use this park for jogging. But I quit going, because I thought it's be a good laugh to gain tons of weight eating fast food and cupcakes. And I succeeded. With hardly any effort. Fast-forward to earlier this year, I felt like fat a slob and wanted to "look good for the ladies", so I grabbed my kicks and headed to McKinley 'round 8PM-ish. But, to my surprise, I found a jogging path still crowded with people walking. Walking! On a jogging path! Go walk around the neighborhood or on the grass, but get out of the way of the people that want to get the lead out.

I wonder if it's better in the early morning. Other than my disappointment about the jogging path, this is a gorgeous park. I wish Sac had more like this, instead of the little park blocks.

Now is the right time to go to McKinley Park...the weather is gorgeous and the roses are in full bloom.  Perfect place to walk with the baby and show her the ducks---there is a massive number of ducks, big, small, white, brown...I guess the white ones are geese and the little ones with the green heads are mallards?  I dunno, I'm a city girl, but anyway they are everywhere and baby was delighted!  I saw a family take pictures of their little toddler walking right among the ducks, but they are really big and are taller than her, I was kindof worried but she seemed ok.  Still I don't think I'd recommend doing that.  Also we spied a nice big egg laid hidden in a bush and being the city girl with currently heightened maternal instincts I immediately worried that some idiot would go mess with it or something, hopefully it will stay hidden from weirdos.

The walk around the park is cool, in typical California style you can see a palm tree next to a redwood and other types of trees.  There is a public pool there that I remember my husband dragged me to several times last summer, in the insane heat, while I was pregnant, because he LOVES that pool.  It's $1. It's too crowded for my taste, but I do think it's good that the price makes it accessible.

I like this park so much I bought a house right around the corner from it.

Best branch library in town. Great multi-use space. Great picnic areas. Great ducks. Great jogging. No weirdo attitude like at certain downtown parks. McKinley is fantastic.

This is a great little place to feed the geese and just hang out in the summer sun :) I can't say how the jogging is or how fun the playground is but it's a nice spot to relax. Gets a bit busy on weekends  but it's to be expected.

Great to have acres of grassy escape in our neighborhood!  walk at 5am - walk at noon - walk at midnight.  This is the spot!

Every spring and summer the city holds Concerts in the Park throughout town...come join us!

Okay so I understand that I am delving into odd territory, reviewing a local park and all, but I frequent here more than any other establishment, so why not?
My son absolutely loves the park here.  the playground is filled with myriad tunnels and hiding places (make sure to dress your kids in bright colors as to avoid parental panic attacks) to keep them occupied and enthralled for hours.  When we are all  tired out, we can go and pick up a book from the library and sniff around the rose garden.  My basset hound always finds a friend to "play" with and lots of friendly families willing to load him up with pets.  What I am concerned about is the lack of care this park seems to get.  For such a centrally located and popular park, it really has undergone some extensive neglect.  What would have been a nice stroll around the pond is actually impossible because its covered in disgusting duck crap.  The pond is a murky shade of hunter green and actually reeks worse than a moldy dumpster.  On a side note, I actually witnessed a parent overlooking her children wading in this pond, one oh which whom went under water for a brief moment.  I had to scour my body with lava soap for a week after that.  Now if only I could write a yelp review for her parenting.........

Last but not least, someone tried to sell me a glass pipe there once.  Can the city afford at least one security officer?

McK Park gets three stars for the library, the walk/run dirt track, and the rose garden, which is where I go and sit when I want to think about my Late Great Brother, who was a landscaper. Otherwise, yeah, it's gone downhill in recent years. The duck pond is scary and needs major cleanup. You hear me, Governor? Stop flirting with the waitresses at Lucca and get on that.

I posted a topic a while back asking folks why they loved Sacramento and I explained my love for the city derived from it being so full of trees that it made you feel right at home but if I was to pick out reason number two McKinley Park would definitely be next on my list on why I hold this city so dear. If every city could have their own McKinley Park I believe more people would have an incentive to enjoy life and its many small pleasures we do not realize are right in front of us. As I have mentioned before I work for the Parks and Recreation Department for the city so I have seen what many of the parks in Sacramento have to offer and McKinley Park is by far one of the best you will find. I spend five out of the seven days in the week hanging out here and I have also spent a summer here working with youth, so I have seen the best this park provides for adults and children alike.

In my personal time I know I can visit McKinley Park practically anytime of the day. This is my place to run, walk, shoot hoops, study, read a book, relax, bring a friend, bring a date, throw a football around, bring some takeout, and share greetings and a smile with other park goers. This park is my haven for basically everything I enjoy doing.

Although at this time I have no children of my own, in the time I have spent here with youth as part of my job and from my own observance this is an awesome place for kids. Rations permitting you can spend hours on end feeding ducks and geese as there is an abundance of animals with never ending stomachs. The playground rates number two in my book with Southside Park being number one, but it is still awesome none the less. To this day it's hard to find wood playground structures so it is something adults and children can appreciate. Not only is this playground huge but it is a place where a children's imagination run can wild. With this park being so huge and scenic any day is a good day for a picnic (weather permitting) and afterward you can always walk out your meal with your children through the beautiful rose garden. The branch library is a cozy place I know your kids can enjoy and they often provide readings and shows for younger children during the day. Kids love McKinley Park and with help from your end they can be entertained for hours.

Plain and simple the possibilities are endless at this park for adults and children alike. Beauty all around and assets to enjoy life at it's best.
