This is a typical Mc Donald's. The seating area is nicely kept and there is free Wifi. I have seen signs that say the main seating area is open 24 hours too. But I have not sat in the seating area past 4pm. I will re-review after a late night stop.
I found the double drive thru kept the car moving at slow and steady speed. I stop in very once in awhile to pick up two large fries for the family. I order my fries with no salt. This means they make them fresh. They are sizzling hot when they arrive to my car window or on my tray. YUM! -

This Mickey D's is so close to my house, my stomach gets butterflies from all the excitement of just knowing that fact.
It's along Lawrence Expressway, within a little shopping strip and tech district, AND a 24-Hour Fitness! Parking is not a problem unless it's a Sunday and the Coco's (next door) customers decide to park here. Staff is friendly and there is a lady that works here (she's Latin-Am with glasses and curly hair) who is sometimes assisting with the drive-thru or in-store...she is super cheerful and nice.
The setting in this store isn't so different from the rest of the chains. My special mention is primarily with the adjacency of the store to where I live. My kids and I can literally walk there, pick up a fresh batch of my favorite McDonald's French fries, soda, and walk back to the house.
Oh, can we come back for refills? -

No means no.
If you're in the the drive through and the cashier asks you if you want the Strawberry pie at 7:45 am, and you tell him NO,why does he ask you the same question three more times? Is it McDonald's policy to put an electronic zap collar on the drive-though attendants so if they don't ask the question, they receive a mild electronic shock to keep them in line and following policy? Or, are they robots that will deliver messages with certain prompts, based on the programming? All could be true. I'll bet the guy asks people if they want a strawberry pie even when he's asleep.
Anyway, no problems with service or food.
I still don't want a strawberry pie, thank you. -

Had a chuckle at this McDonald's the other day.
I dipped in to the drive thru, placed my order over the intercom, scooted to the pay window and zipped right past the window to pick up my order.
The drive thru of this McDonald's is so long I zipped right passed the window thinking it was way down at the end of the building. I backed up and the young lady holding my bag was laughing. We both had a good laugh.
I ordered the hamburger happy meal with the girls toy. I love the wee pint size fries that come in this cute little fries container. -

Okay, so you know how I was saying this place always messes up orders from the drive-thru? The other night, I stopped by here to try a holiday pie...they don't have them yet as of this review :( I decided to just buy 1 apple pie then, just to get something, since I was already in the drive-thru.
So my order: 1 apple pie = $.54 right. 1 item. How could they get it wrong right? So I grabbed my bag, put it in the passenger seat, and drove home. Got home, opened the bag, and saw 2 apple pies! I know I shouldn't be complaining since their mistake put me up 1. But I just think it's hilarious how they can mess up a 1 item order :P1 Previous Review: Show all »

I only go here for breakfast. It's a McDonald's. Nothing special. It's clean and you get what you order. They have free wi-fi and some nice remodeled seating areas. Better than some other ones I've gone to in the area.
There is no playground, too bad for the kids. -

You more can you expect?
Your below than average food to go along with your average meets the bare minimum customer service. The only reason I even think to come here is to just snack on my guilty pleasures, chicken nuggets!
I also splurged on an apple pie, thought it was good, and then thought what did I just eat after?!
This place is one of the cleanest Mickey D's I've been to. A plus side is that they are always quick to serve you, get you in and out, they get their money and you get your death in a box, lol.
Still I can't be mad at Mickey D's, it's my decision, it's just you think they'd get creative and make something new! -

I've never had someone mess up so much on one order at Mcdonalds. So after waiting in the ER at Kaiser for 5.5 hours my boyfriend and I were starving. We decided to go through the drive thru at 2am. We ordered the chicken nuggets meal and the fish filet meal. After ordering we sat in line in the car for awhile. When we finally went up to the window they still took long.
After we got our bag we were about to drive off except we didn't get our drinks. So we asked for our drinks and while we were waiting we happened to look into the bag which had items that we did not order. It happens, whatever. Anyways the guy comes back and says "we need your debit card and receipt back." And we asked why we needed to? Then he said "I undercharged you." WTF? You mess up on our order and then charge us more?
The second time we got our bag... It was the same freakin bag they gave us earlier with the items we did not order. We had to literally spell out to them slowly so they would UNDERSTAND that we got a chicken nugget meal and a fish filet meal. Finally when we got our order we just sped off from the annoyance of the incompetent workers. When we arrived at home and started eating, we found no napkins, straws, or sweet and sour sauce. The fries were cold and were drenched in salt, the fish filet had waaaay too much tartar sauce, and I asked for a Mr.Pibb, instead they gave me coke.
I would've understood if it was overwhelmingly busy but it wasn't. And you're taking these orders in sequential order... How friggin hard is that?! -

OK, OK- I like McDonalds. In fact, it's probably tied with Taco Bell as my all time favorite fast food. It doesn't take much to impress me here... a simple cheeseburger or crispy chicken wrap will do just fine.
When I really feel like throwing health to the wind I splurge on a milkshake. The last one I had was thick and creamy with plenty of strawberry flavoring.
Just be prepared for this crazy parking lot. The drive thru is a quick right after entering the parking area and it's always backed up into the street with people trying to get in. I don't know, a cheeseburger and yummy shake just might be worth a fender bender sometimes! ; P -

Comon folks can you really go wrong with Mcdonalds? I still remember being a kid and watching all those Hamburglar commericials where he steals all the hamburgers and gobbles. Kind of a hero to me growing up. Anyways this place is very clean as far as Mcdonalds go, and what I really like is the nuggets always come out fresh, juicy, and crisp.
And no I dont think all Mcdonalds are created equally. I have been to a few that were just plain bad, serving stale fries and nuggets...no good. This place hasnt dissapointed me yet. Kinda hard for me to give fastfood more then four stars but if any Mcdonalds derserves it, this is THE place. -

Ok, it's SO not ok to not have shamrock shakes on friggin' St. Patrick's Day. Sacrilege!
They said they ran out two weeks ago. What's going on with this world that a McDonalds wouldn't have the famous green minty shake on this sainted day? I worked at McDs for years (not this one) and we never didn't have it on the actual day. There would have been a LOT of ticked-off folks if we had. It's not a St. Valentine's shake, but that's when the syrup becomes available and runs out too fast for the demand.
Oh, lest the lousy rating be attributed to my bah humbug response to the absence of minty green goodness in my tummy on this minty green day, I'm also angsted by this place messing up our very infrequent orders. We rarely ever drive thru and when we do, it's a coin toss whether the order will be right or not.
But, they're very nice here and it's convenient.

Love their ice coffee (ask for low or no sugar).
Go there during their slow hours
between 2 and 4 and you can actually
watch TV or use your laptop and hang out (they have multiple
AC outlets at the counter next to the door).
It's quiet and nice there, I'm referring to THIS MickeyDees @ THIS location.
Beats Starbucks in a lot of ways me thinks. -

Did you know that the option to stock the various McNugget dipping sauces is up to the individual McDonald's location? That's why this location doesn't stock honey anymore.
I mean, damn you! I've been eating McNuggets with honey since...since before I was old enough to know better, anyway. But if I'm having a nostalgia/regression attack and want some friggin' McNuggets with honey, I now know I can't find them at this location.
The fries are still good, though. -

On days that I have to be at work by 5 or 5:30 AM, I don't really have time to eat so by the time I get here my stomach is just growling and anything will do. Sometimes I can't resist the urge and I pull over for some super early morning eats, what else can you get at 5am? I see the jealous looks of all my co-workers as I show up with a bag of McDonalds. Good rating for feeding me at dark o clock in the morning. And the drive thru people are super nice and friendly and actually energetic, it just sets me up for a good day. I remember I help nice people like that at my job (for the most part).

For the guy who always takes my order in the drive thru during my lunch break 5 stars... for the guy who takes my order in the AM for breakfast, YOU SUCK.
I live off of mcdonald's. Ask anyone. I bleed french fries and hot mustard. Just about every M-F i come here to get something. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee I'm at the drive thru almost every weekday. The drive thru is 24 hours, a big perk.
My warning to you: If you use the drive thru menu that's on the RIGHT side (there are two, there's a split) you're order will almost ALWAYS be wrong when you pay/pick up at the 2nd window. Maybe I'm the only one that this happens to but EVERY TIME?! EVERY TIME?!?!?!?! Whenever I use the menu on the right when I get to the 1st window I end up 1) either paying the amount that the car on the left had or 2) paying the right amount but getting the car on the left's food at the 2nd window. WTF.
This mainly happens during breakfast hence my message to the guy up top.
As for sit down service you get my approval :). Very clean and prompt. Just how I like it, who wants to wait for food in a messy place? not me! -

this particular McDonald's is perhaps the WORST I have ever been to. Not once, twice or even three times but FOUR times they have messed up my order. I even called once to complain and the "manager" told me oh come on in we will give you a free meal...so one day I went in to claim my "Free meal" and I got a "oh, that manager isn't in right now so I cannot give you a free meal." I just said forget it and paid for my meal, and now I won't go there anymore.

This is one of the re-done McDonald's that shed its 80s fast food look and acquired the hip new look with comfortable furniture. Gone are the hard plastic seats and tables attached to the floor and here to stay are comfy leather armchairs and side tables, along with other nicer dining furniture. Everything else is part of the standard fare -- menu, service, etc.
I read about these changes in the WSJ, but seeing it in person definitely made me realize what a difference it makes to me as a consumer. I'd drop by for a chocolate sundae and actually stick around because of the relaxing setting. -

I would give McDonalds 4 stars but it loses a star because it's not good for your health. I really like McDonalds. Granted it's not on the same level as In-N-Out but as fast food goes, it's good. McDonalds is McDonalds. The food is very consistent (it IS fast food) so you will always be getting the same food no matter where you go. I haven't had the problem with bad food at any McDonalds that I have been at.
If I had a choice, I'd go to In-N-Out first, then Jack in the Box then McDonanlds. If you have an option, go with In-N-Out.

I gave this McDonalds an extra star because they put some extra effort in that I don't see at other McD's. They have Chinese New Years decorations and Valentine's Day decorations. They were cute! They also have free wifi which was good because me and the husband had to kill some time. They also had a couple of comfy i guess i'd call them living room chairs with a shorter table that we ate at. It made us feel a little more comfortable than the plastic chairs or booths. I'll come here when I'm in the area.

I won't go so far as to say I'm a fast food connoisseur... but for a McDonald's... this is a good one to go to.
I've done the drive-through.... ordering/service was always above-average fast.... the orders were ALWAYS correct (I can be a bit of a "Sally" from "When Harry Met Sally" in that even if it is Micky Ds... I'll customize my order)... and they always did seem to have a smile!
It's also helpful that they're open 24/7!
Once... they even served me breakfast when it wasn't technically breakfast hours any more.... they keep serving it until people kind of stop ordering and start ordering lunch items instead.
Eating in... I think that's where this place gets my vote.
One side of the restaurant literally has power outlets at ever table and of course, there is Internet inside the place. There has been more than one time where I've done some work here.... I got out of the office and went to MDs, had some snacks and got productive!
I'm sure you're not reading my review to find out what the food is like (unless you're one of those guys who spends 10 mins reading the McDonald's menu each time before you order... just in case they no longer carry Big Macs or Quarter Pounders). If you are... I like to get a Big Mac... no pickles and no extra piece of bread in the middle. If they don't already have fries up, I'll ask for mine to not have any salt... and well a soda is a soda :^) -

This McDonald's is closest to my house and it has been around ever since we moved here many, many years ago. I remember when there was nothing around it except dirt and trees (today there is a Coco's,Una Mas and other small businesses.) Throughout the years this location has gone through a few remodeling ventures and its latest has made the inside look more modern and hip, yet those golden arches still look and shine the same on the outside.
It is nice to know that although prices on everything have gone up one can come here and get a meal under $4.00.- Their $1.00 menu can't be beat. I personally enjoy the double cheeseburger, side salad and diet coke and some of my family members go for the #2(Big Mac) meal. I have been to other McDonald's but for some reason this one has always been my favorite.
1 star off- it is fast food. -

I feel so weird reviewing a Mcdonald's but this one has blown me away.
First the building its self is so clean and its completely remodeled. I feel as if I am in starbucks. There is also a TV on.
The drive through has 2 ordering places for faster service.
Workers are competent and helpful both inside and drive through.
I have been there every now and again for the last 5 years and I cant say I have ever had a bad experience.
Just had to give them props for running such a great chain. -

Came here with Al early today after the DMV went south after you know what. McDonald's doesn't look like McDonald's when we were kids. They're switching from the kids colorful theme of white and red to a more modern look. I was able to get my Sweet Tea here and I got my fix for the day.

This McDonalds has the best ice cream cones of any of the McDonalds in the area. Try it for yourself. The cone was creamy, smooth and perfect. I have been trying the cones from different locations and some of them have very icy ice cream cones and taste a bit too milky.

This is the best McDonalds ever! I know that people always get their food to go, so most of us have never really sat down at at McDonalds. This one is very clean, and they are very fast with their orders. The staff is also always cleaning the area. They also have TV and Wifi so you can plug in your lab top and do work. I really love studying here. I wish this McDonalds was closer to my home. The ones by my home have no Wifi, and the inside is not as nice. This one is my favorite McDonalds. Food tastes the same, just the service is faster and the inside is a lot nicer than most.

Food is always a notch above other Bay Area McDonald's, employees are always nice and have a good attitude, and the interior is nice and inviting... The only area of improvement would be the cleanliness of some of the tables. Could be wiped down more often.

I love Big Mac, Fries, and McNuggets. Too bad they are not healthy for you. This location seems to be the central hub of silicon valley fastfood. The parking is decent and they have plenty of workers to assist you. The food appears to be fresh since they have a quick turn around rate on selling food. If I am lazy and just want something fast and quick, and not minding the calories. I would head here.

Like all Mcdonalds, it is good for quick and cheap food. I work close to here so when my bf and I want a quick and cheap food or McNugget, we go here to grab lunch. However, that's all that is good at this place. Service here sucks. For the 20 pieces chicken nugget that we normally get there, most places give you 4 sauces, but this place only gives you 3 and will change you extra if you want a 4th one. How expensive can those sauce package be....gezzz....is it really necessary to charge us extra for a sauce. cheap cheap cheap.....bad service.

I love this place BUT..... WHAT is up with the price of the morning Hash Browns going from $.50 to $1.00?! I mean, 50 cents is no big deal, but the thought of doubleing the price of something overnight......a 100% price increase......just kinda crazy to me.
Oh well, it's not going to stop me from coming here on my way to work often. -

i honestly can't tell much difference between the various mcdonald's locations except that some have children's play areas and some don't. the food looks and tastes the same to me. on one hand fast food is unhealthy and getting more expensive. on the other hand it is convenient with hours and locations plus some stuff tastes good. also they have revamped some stuff to cater to people trying to eat healthier. overall i guess 2.5-3 stars.
as with previous reviews, i adjust my final rating using the santa clara county department of environmental health food facility inspection reports. this is to hold businesses accountable for consumer food safety and to recognize which restaurants take it seriously. this is one area with major chains where i also notice a major difference. some locations of major chains can vary considerably between each other in how the management addresses consumer food safety.
this mcdonald's on lawrence in sunnyvale has had 4 minor food safety violations over the last two years. i have high expectations for large chains so while 4 minor is not excessive, that is not good for a large corporation. they should be training the employees with regular policies and procedures to protect consumers. the mcdonald's down on stevens creek by san thomas has a pristine record unlike this one on lawrence. knocking off 1.5-2 stars since it is 4 minor violations at a major chain restaurant. that puts it down to 1 star.

I only gave this place one star because last year I went there 3 times, ordered a cheesburger to go each time and....Every single time, when I got home, the cheesburger was missing the burger. Total waste of a $1! I`m not a vegetarian, ok?
