They would have gotten 2 stars but they bough me off with all the free dessert. yeah i know but hey it was alot of FREE DESSERT!

Came here with ma sexy girlfriend and her family. Service was not good. They gave the excuse that it was due to the Veterans Day special but they place looked like it was normal to me. It didnt look that busy. at one point I had to get up "sneakily with out telling the group" and went to tell them they were messing up. The service was horrible and they needed to up their game. We had a big table of people and the restaurant was not putting its best foot forward. (I almost busted the Im a YELP ELITE even if im just a regular Newbie YELPER)

They burnt the steak that one person ordered, I know its a Seafood restaurant but if you are going to mess up steak then dont put it on the menu. My sexy girlfriend got her salmon and it was not well cooked. I we got it sent back to get cooked. The Manager came out to help and she looked a bit angry. "hey lady if its a special Veterans thing you have going then dont understaff that day! why do we have to suffer?"

anywho they bribed us with free dessert. the food was good. I got Trout with rice. Rice was really good.

THE END.

We went here today for lunch.  There was a party of 8 of us.  We ordered 3 Cedar Plank Salmon, Salmon Penne Pasta, Lobster Bisque Soup,  Seafood Jambalaya, and NY Steak.  For the appetizers / small plates, we got the (1) Dungeness Crab, Avocado and Mango Tower, (1) Steamed Manila Clams, White Wine and Garlic, and (1) Steamed Black Mussels in Spicy Thai Curry Sauce.

Already, there was a problem with our order.  There was no Lobster Bisque Soup... so we had to substitute it for the Seafood Corn Chowder.   Because of this, our server offered to "adjust our bill".
We asked for bread twice ... and it didn't come until after the second time we asked for it.  And even then, we only got 1 each.  We asked for more, but the bread never came after a third request.  The water came pretty late too.

The appetizers came out (Mussels and Clams) but the Crab, Avocado, and Mango Tower never came.

The main dishes comes out. . . and my Salmon is undercooked.  I send it back, and they ended up giving me a brand new plate of everything.  (Salmon, Mashed Potatoes, and Vegetables)... except... the second time around... there's less of everything.   Everyone's meal comes out except for the NY Steak.  That one doesn't come out until 20 minutes later... and even then... it was overcooked and burned because they didn't clean their grill.

By this time, we reminded our server that we still haven't received our Crab Tower.  So our server tells us that they didn't have that... and offered to replace it with something else.  We ordered another plate of the Steamed Mussels and it took so long to come out... that we just got it to go.  We had already finished eating, and it hadn't even come out yet.
We also asked for a refill of our water...but we didn't get any until someone from our party went up to one of the servers to ask for it.  By then, the manager came unannounced and just started getting our plates.  And she seem liked she was pissed off.

McCormick's messed up big time but they made up for it.  We were there for over 2 hours, but they were pretty busy.  They discounted the meal, and bought us off with a lot of free desserts so 3 stars for now.

Haven't been to M&S for there famous happy hour cheese burger for I don't know how long. Used to be $1.95 now it is $2.95 but still a great deal! I wouldn't call it a gourmet burger but for 3 bucks with fries you can't beat it... taking the first bite the word that comes to mind is "fresh". The beef patty was fresh, the bun was fresh and so were the lettuce, tomato and fries. My only grip is the slice of tomato that came with my burger was sliced from the very top of the burger, you know, the part of the tomato where the stem grows out of - my own idiosyncrasy - I just don't like that piece.

We also had Calamari-Abalone and Bay Shrimp Martini with Pico de Gallo and Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice, Really Hot Wings -Crispy Drumettes and Wings in Spicy Buffalo Sauce, Curry Short Neck Clams - Clams Steamed Open with Coconut Curry Cream Sauce, and Carved Calamari - Flash Fried Golden Brown with Spicy Eel Sauce. Each dish ran between $3.95-$4.95. All were small portions and were very good except the Curry Short Neck Clams. They were not fresh, actually they were bad. The waitress apologized and cheerfully took it off our check, so no problem.

Surprisingly our bill still came out to be over 40 bucks for the two of us but hey the food was decent, service good and the place was nice; I'm not complaining.

Next time? I'm just gonna have the cheese burger.

Happy Hour on a Friday: 9:30-11:00 PM!

Food ordered off the Happy Hour Menu: (prices ranged from $2-5 reallllly cheap!)
BBQ Chicken Skewers: C
Pizza: A-
Fried Zucchini: A+!
Oysters ?: B

& I ordered a Caipirinha and that was A+! I really recommend this drink-if you're not to sure what it is, wiki it. I assure you if you like the taste of margaritas you'll love this.  Beware not to order this at Claim Jumpers though--they don't make it right!

What else? The service was on point. I swear our waitress was on top model. Otherwise she was very attentive and reallly nice.

Atmosphere: kinda dull but I guess you can say I was there kinda early (9-10 PM).

Parking: In the private parking garage. Make sure to get validated inside!

I've been here a couple of times and have hesitated to review this because it is a nationwide chain.  I'm not a fan of chains, and am more than happy to support my local restaurants.  But it is impossible to find fresh oysters on the half shell outside of the Redondo pier.  I was also more than willing to try out The Del, but they were closed for renovations.  So off to McCormick & Schmick's we went.

We decided to have an appetizer night in the bar while we watched the Ducks get their asses handed to them and the Rockies fail to take down the drowning Dodgers.  We got mojitos and the clams in white wine sauce to start.  Along with the oysters and tuna tartare.  Let me say, that they have revamped their menu from the lazy, typical upscale chain fare.  I was really impressed with their new menu and excited to sample.

The bartender was awesome.  Making me more than mojitos, and all of the cocktails were delicious.  The appetizers were equally delicious, I loved the tuna tartare and the wonton-style chips that they were served with.  I only wished that the clams came with their own bread to soak up all the sauce.  The oysters (always get the smallest, they have the most flavor) were total perfection, with the hint of the sea, but not too overpowering.  We then added the mussel frittata to our tab, which was also good.  Though the ratatouille felt thrown together.

For dessert we got the sweet potato casserole (a side) and the wild berry cobbler.  Nobody gets in between me and my sweet potatoes, and I devoured those within a second.  I wish they would have had a maple syrup drizzle over them, but it was tasty nonetheless.  Of course, being the fat ass that I am, I had to eat most of the berry cobbler.  The berries and the ice cream mixed together perfectly.

All in all, a great meal.  There are a few things they could change (some items are a little pricey), but I left satisfied.  Love the bartender too!  She was absolutely adorable and so much fun to chat with!

Happy hour from 5:30PM - 6:30PM

They raised the price of their happy hour cheese burger from $1.95 to $2.95. You have to order a drink of the minimum price of $3.50. Everything from their happy hour menu is just OK.

What sucks is I got so full from all the food I cut half of my cheese burger and decided to save it for later. The waitress then tells me she can't give me a box for leftovers from the happy hour menu. Are you serious?!?! I've never heard of that crap!

Service is kinda bad here too. I really need to find a better happy hour spot.

I haven't been to McCormick and Schmick's for over a year. The last time here was for a celebration happy hour and all the other times I've been here have been also for happy hours. Since I've always had a good experience with happy hours here, I found myself excited when I found out that I would be attending a business meeting here.

The business meeting was during the lunch hour and they had us seated at the outdoor patio. Right from the start, the staff here was very friendly and accommodating. Our business meeting had a special buffet set up. The buffet consisted of Caesar salad, cold seafood platters, cheese, different types of bread, roast beef, seafood kabobs, salmon and chocolate mousse cake.

I tried the Caesar salad and made myself a roast beef sandwich. Both items were pretty tasty. The chocolate mousse cake was kinda weird but weird in a good way. The texture wasn't really cake like, it was almost like a brownie not cooked all the way hence mousse like texture. It was almost like eat ting a pie with pudding inside. It was fairly good though. They also served us iced tea with free refills (The waiters actually kept giving refills).

I'm glad to see that the lunches here are good just like the happy hours. McCormick and Schmick's remain to be one of my favorite places to go :)

Their late night happy hour is kind of disappointing.  I was there recently for this (after 9pm on a Thurs night.)   The draw is that apps after 9pm in the bar range from $1.95 to $4.95.  We ordered fried zucchini (1.95), pulled pork sliders (4.95) and shrimp gyoza (3.95).  The zucchini when it arrived was obviously from a large zucchini and the pieces were sliced medallion-style, but only about 7 on the plate.  The pork "sliders" actually arrived as one large sandwich, on a costco-looking seeded bun, with very fatty (inedibly fatty in places) pork sliced in large pieces and not shredded/pulled style.  The shrimp gyoza was the only good dish.  Not too shrimpy and pan-cooked to the perfect consistency with just the right amount of browning.

They do not let you take any leftovers to go, and they make you spend a minimum of $3.50 in drinks to get any food specials.

Overall pretty lame HH...

(edited b/c I got this place confused w/ another place, I think flemings! haha)

I've been to three McCormick & Schmick's (the one on Rodeo Drive, the one in San Jose, and this one on Rosecrans).  I haven't really cared for any of them--the San Jose one may just be the best of the bunch because their creme brulee was a lot better than I expected.

Anyway, their happy hour menu is supposed to be pretty good (very good deals on cheeseburger and fries).  I've been in their bar (for non-happy hour), and it was quite loud and crowded.

The interior is relatively nice and comfortable at this location.  For my entree, I had the Atlantic Salmon stuffed with Brie, Crab, and Bay Shrimp.  The dish was okay (not great)--it was very buttery, creamy, and heavy.  Their clam chowder was nothing to write home about.

McCormick & Schmick's seafood is definitely better than a Red Lobster, but with so many other good seafood options around Los Angeles (and at similar prices), it is hard to justify making too many repeat visits here.  Maybe I will try it for happy hour one of these days.

One dish, Shrimp & Brie Stuffed Salmon! Yum! It keeps me coming back. They now have a kids menu, which is nice and brunch on Sundays is a real treat. Menu changes everyday and seafood is fresh. I'd love to see more crab and lobster on the menu though. Otherwise, great place!

This is a major seafood restaurant chain that is rapidly expanding. Unfortunately, unlike some other major chains, they did not pay attention to details like side dishes (fries).

French Fry Review:

They served large and bland frozen french fries. The fries did have skin but in spite of this still were almost tasteless sticks of mashed potatos.

If you can skip this place, and suggest some other place you'll be happier.

Food-formula, chain food. Bland.
Service-unpredictable.
Ambiance-dark, formula spot.

There are so many great places to go and this really isn't one of them.

Why 2 star v 1? The food was edible and they take reservations. There's no passion in this dining experience.

The two stars for McCormick's in El Segundo is based on smell and service. The restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but upscale restaurants shouldn't smell like a wet bar rag. I stopped in last month for happy hour and walked right back out because of the odor. We went there today for a group lunch and it was a good thing we ate on the patio! It was all we could do to hold our breath while walking through the restaurant to the patio!

We had a group of 12 for lunch today and rather than simply take our reservation - they were lucky to have it because the restaurant was basically empty - they made us sign a contract with a $300 minimum. For Lunch. Seriously?!  We had no set menu, no extra servers, no special decor, so why the huge minimum? I'm used to the standard gratuity minimum for large parties but a contract for lunch? It felt very cheap and desperate.

Overall, the food was decent and the lunch was fun because of the group, but I would not recommend this place.

When this restaurant was built I was excited and looking forward to a good seafood restaurant in the South Bay.  After many visits for meals with friends, a few dates, BD parties, and happy hours, I've decided that it's not me...it's the place.

It looks nice, like a place you would want to go.  The menu is large and extensive with many selections of seafood.  But nearly everything I have ordered here was either a little or a lot disappointing.

It's not bad, but it's never as good and I thought it should be.  I do cook seafood a lot at home, and I expect them to do it at least as well as I can, but too often they fall short.  Simply put, the preparation is not there, and the cooking itself is short on attention.

I've sent back several dishes that were improperly cooked, only to have them come back improperly cooked.

But, it is a nice "take out the office" sort of place, good for Christmas dinners, parties etc.  It has a good "look and feel".  But if you care about a great meal, particularly seafood, look elsewhere.

To cook well you have to care.

I came here expecting a really GOOD happy hour menu and happy hour food...and feel pretty robbed. Someone had told me the cheeseburgers were the best here, but I was sorely disappointed that it was really dry, tasteless, cold and soggy. We got the "Happy Platter" (more like sad platter), California Nigiri (ok), and fried zucchini (sparse portion and also limp and cold). Other than the fact I only paid about $5 after everything, I would NOT suggest this place for Happy Hour unless you don't want to be happy after. Maybe just go there for the drinks and if you're going to get food, be sure to drink enough to wash down each bite, because after a few drinks you probably won't remember.

Sigh...i'm so disappointed from my botched Happy Hour, I can't even type anymore.

Honestly, Where can you get a cheeseburger and fries for $1.95?...absolutely great for happy hour...happy hour is between 3:30-6:30 PM and again from 9:30-11:00 PM

Cheeseburger WITH FRIES $1.95
fried zucchini $1.95
Chicken Skewers $1.95

there are more items at $1.95, and menu varies daily

and 2 tokyo teas..

2 of us ate and drank for less than $30 bucs including tip..now that's what I'm talking about...

I'm only reviewing happy hour...i wouldn't want to eat at the restaurant because the happy hour food is pretty good..by the way the fried zucchini is shaped like a McDonald's hashbrown...hehe and its crispy ( Not Soggy)..like the zucchini sticks at many hamburger joints...

I've always been going to McCormick & Schmick in El Segundo whether it's with mom, sister, family, friends or for business. I'm not sure why I've never Yelp reviewed them before even though every time we go there we only have great things to say. But I guess this time is special and it really stuck in my mind... because Colin (our server) is the best server of all LA steakhouses. He made our anniversary dinner that much more special because he really cared about us as people and not just as paying customers. He is so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. He always makes great recommendations and knows how to make a regular customer feel like a VIP. Colin has served me and my group 3 during 3 of my visits now and each time is just as memorable as the first... I'm going to make sure that from here on out we will only be served by Colin.

On another note, if you love steak and seafood... you MUST eat here at least once in your lifetime! Don't miss out on their 22oz Ribeye Steak and their lobster dish. And when it comes to wine pairing as well as deserts, McCormick definitely knows what they're doing. You must try their apple pie with coffee. Mmmmmm...

I've been driving by this place for years.  Then I heard about the lady in San Diego who found a condom in her clam chowder.  Yeah, really wasn't looking forward to trying the food there.

Fast forward about six years.  I get two $50 gift certificates to this place for my birthday and Christmas.  My sister's birthday was coming up, so she suggested we try this place and use the gift certificates.

She made a reservation for 10 at 7:00 on a Tuesday night.  We arrived, had a slightly smaller group, but they had a table waiting for us.  It was a nice sized table, perfect for 7, but it would have been a bit crowded for 10.

The lighting in the restaurant is muted, but the stained glass a la art deco was pretty.  I loved that they had these little dining cubicles that could be closed off by curtains.  Many of the people in the restaurant seemed to be businessmen and convention goers, so I assume that illicit and licit deals happen behind those curtains.  Or then again, maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist.  But really, some goings on must happen there over steaks and drinks.

The food was fine.  It wasn't great, which I would have expected.  I got a trout stuffed with dungeness and red potatoes, served with broccolini.  The fish was well cooked, but there were hardly any crab nor potatoes stuffed into the fish.  The broccolini needed some garlic or butter (or both.)  The corn and seafood chowder was fine, but needed a little more salt.  I added Tobasco.  I didn't find a condom in mine, thank goodness!

Because it was my sister's birthday and she ordered a steak and lobster, her entree came with their creme brulee.  She asked the waiter if he would switch it out for something else and he graciously agreed.

All in all, it was a nice experience, but I can't see myself going back.  I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop kind of guy.  These fancy places are usually lost on me, as I sit there thinking that I could do the same thing at home.  The other thing that is hard for me to swallow was the changing menu.  I'm a creature of habit, so having a new menu from day to day is a challenge for me.  I like to try new things, but if I find something I like, I wanna have it more than once.

Huge wine list and a full bar.  The patio looked really nice.  I hear they have great happy hour specials.

I'm just a bit disappointed.  I've been to M&S  before, but I expected much better.  I went with some coworkers for dinner during Happy Hour, and is it possible that they didn't spend so much time on the quality of the food given that they had so many people to serve?

The yellowfin poke martini was lacking in flavor, although the seaweed salad on top was very good.  The generic LaChoy crunchy noodles at the bottom of the glass is not necessary and unimpressive (suggestion: Napa Cabbage).  I ordered the crab cake dinner, and although the rice and vegetables on the side were very nice, the crab cakes were mediocre.  The red pepper sauce on the side was not good and I would have preferred something else.  One of my friends ordered the ono, which she's had it before and liked it, but said this one was not good at all and didn't finish it.  Two other friends ordered the fried shrimp.  The shrimp were big and tasted fine; however, whoever made the cocktail sauce need to add more of whatever ingredient it takes to make it taste less like ketchup and more like cocktail sauce.  Either the saucier was having a bad day that day or he just sucks.

Other stuff on the table: spinach artichoke pizza (ok), chicken skewers (ok), seared ahi (ok).  Basically, nothing stood out.

No refills on strawberry lemonade, becase they "make it fresh."  That's pretty cheap.  It didn't taste freshly made.  Also, since I charged the dinner to the company credit card, I had to ask why they listed our strawberry lemonades on the receipt as "liquor," and was told that it was because the bartender poured it.

I'm probably not going back to this particular restuarant, and I'm disappointed because I've generally had good experiences at other McCormick & Schmick's.

This was my first visit to McCormick and Schmicks and I would say it was a very average restaurant. One thing that made it below average was the prices for their food however. The food quality does not match the price at all. Also the restaurant atmosphere is rather dark and it somehow seems old and outdated. The food wasn't horrible but it definately wasn't worth $25 a plate. They have valet parking but it costs $5 and right next door is a parking structure that's free with 3 hour validation you get when you eat at the restaurant. It's not worth the money to eat at this restaurant. Go somewhere else

Normally I go here for happy hour. FYI, they do NOT know how to make mixed drinks. They have their anniversary drink menu and I ordered a Bellini and it was so NOT a Bellini. A Bellini should not be on ice. Anyway, normally happy hour food is pretty decent. I suggest sticking to wine or beers.  They also have late happy hour here if you're looking for a cheap place for a late night dinner.

The low rating really comes from dinner here. McCormick's is supposed to be a higher end seafood restaurant with daily menus printed and everything to reflect the fish in season. Well McCormick's in El Segundo is nothing but a chain. A chain with subpar fish and awkward dishes.

Came here for the BOGO entree deal on Halloween. Started off with the sashimi plate, which is on the menu under "raw bar." Yeah someone came over to ask us where it was on the menu since it seems like it should be under appetizers or something else, but it's not. Anyways, the tuna was decent but the salmon sashimi was awful! It was cut like we got odds and ends of other cuts of salmon. Just hacked up pieces that were veiny with bits of brown flesh.

For the entree, I ordered pesto crusted halibut. It was served with mashed potatos and tomato roulade. Um, what the eff is the pesto crust about? Basically it was halibut with pesto spread on top and panko crumbs on top of that. It's like they felt like they had to be inventive but couldn't pull it off and so it felt... awkward. Yes dishes can be awkward. And not good. Stop trying so hard. Ended up scraping off the pesto and panko. Maybe it was there to hide their subpar fish. For $30 a plate, I expect fresh and moist halibut that flakes super easily. This was a bit dense and dry and fishy. At half the price I can get grilled halibut on risotto at Mac Grill that's just as good. How is it possible that a seafood restaurant has the same fish quality of a pasta chain? Yeah I don't know.

B's chilean sea bass also suffered a similar "trying too hard" fate. And also substandard fish. It was on top of stir fried udon noodles. I mean... really? Stop trying to be inventive. You're not the Beverly Hills outfit. You don't have the skill, El Segundo chef. So play it safe with the ingredients. Anyways, that piece of fish wasn't the greatest either. I've had better at Chinese seafood restaurants where there's no teriyaki sauce to mask the poor fish quality.

And AND to top it off, someone in the kitchen was SO LOUD. I kept turning around because someone kept barking out orders and yelling what sounded like "fire!" every once in a while. There's a long window where the kitchen passes food to the waiters (kind of like a diner, but without a bell) and you could see people scurrying around as someone barked commands. People in the dining room kept looking up because of Loudy McLoud.

Anyways, very disappointed in my dinner here. Downtown is marginally better, but the only McCormick's worth going to for real dinner is the Rodeo location.

Was invited to meet a former employee here for her birthday dinner and was very impressed with the service, food, and overall ambiance of this dining establishment.

I had been to the one in San Jose area, but found this one to be a notch better.

Our server was very attentive and was patient with us as one of our party did not arrive until late and the birthday girl could not make up her mind as to what she wanted.

Our server accommodated all her wishes and she ordered a custom off the menu offering that exceeded her expectations.

I really enjoyed the roasted beet salad with goat cheese and raspberry reduction and ordered the Yellow Fin that was glazed with chapoltle and honey served with fresh spinach and creamy polenta that was all cooked to perfection.

The dessert menu held it's own challenges as I had a meeting to attend early the next morning, so I went with the sorbet layered cake with nuts.

The birthday girl received a complementary chocolate cake and our other diner raved about her dessert in a chocolate box full of fresh fruit and other gooey good stuff. She informed me this was unique to the So Cal menus.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration and very enjoyable repast.

Would highly recommend if you are a seafood "fin"-atic!

I came here for happy hour.... til I found out the drinks were full price, we decided to head to the dining room to enjoy our full priced meal.

I ordered the surf and turf... the lobster was chewey, very chewy, like a rubber chicken. The steak was okay, I didn't expect much since this is a seafood spot. The service really disappointed me since it is on the higher end of my price range. Honestly, the waiters were incompetent.

I'd head to Flemming's if you want good steak or Enterprise for good fish. Save yourself some time, energy, and money.

I was going back and forth on whether to give this place 2 or 3 stars.  I settled on 3.

This place is fine.  It's good depending on what you order.  While I do appreciate that they print a new menu twice daily, it also gets on my nerves.  I am a picky eater, and tend to order the same thing when I go out to eat at a particular restaurant.  So, as you can imagine, it feels like they are playing mind games with me, lol.

Anywho, I have had the same thing twice (got lucky that they put it on the menu) the last couple of times that I have been here--The spicy linguini with shrimp and sun dried tomato.  It's just ok.  Nothing to write home about.

The reason it gets three stars is the dessert.  The flourless chocolate cake is pretty good, but the upside down apple pie is TO DIE FOR.  I would go there just to get that dessert.

I seriously want to try their happy hour as I have heard great things.  Will update my review when I get a chance to go.

I have come to McCormick's on several occasions for Happy Hour and Dinner.  The dinner is so-so for the price, but they have a great Happy Hour and that is what they get the 4-stars for.

We had a department happy hour here last night.  My company provides us with many great events at very nice places, and our group can throw down in terms of alcoholic beverages and free food.  This is in lieu of the big Christmas shindig that got cancelled due to the economy.  We had a company sponsored tab open for the first couple hours, after about $1200, they cut us off and we were on our own.

Martini's are always good here.  They use fresh lemon juice for those that call for it, and all the martini's I had were great.  I had the Razberry Haze (alriiiiight, it was TWO, okay!), the Lemon Drop, the Cosmo and a Chocolate Martini.  I know its a lot, but I can hold my liquor, plus a few of my co-workers had some sips to taste some of them.  I was actually fine until my co-worker bought me that shot of Patron...that put me a bit over the edge....

The appetizers were very good, as well.  The 1.99 1/2 lb cheeseburger and fries is a meal in itself and a great deal.  I had that a few times in the past and know its very good, so we ordered some things some of us never tried before for the table.

The best items I sampled were:

The spinach pizza - to die for, it had a cream sauce and a good amount of cheese.
The curry potato balls, were very delicious.  They were more like eggrolls though but that didn't take from the flavor.
We had the sampler platter.  I had a shrimp and calamari.  They were good, typical.
The pork sliders were okay, spicy but I wasn't crazy about the flavor.
And the very spicy chicken wings were the bomb!

The servers were great, friendly.  I've sat at the bar before and the bartenders engage you in conversation and are very nice.  I've actually had a few give me a free martini in the past (shhhh!)...of course this is after paying for 1 or 2.

Valet is only $5, it is the best choice if you're there several hours even with validation.

Great place to chill and have a good time.

P.S.  I don't know why there is 17 votes for "none" in the alcohol catagory.  This place has a full bar and inside/outside bar seating seperate from the restaurant.

I give it 1 star for the nice interior and tables.  1 star for the food.

I have been invited to lunch here a couple of times.  Somehow the fish here reminds me of Red Lobster.  A basic slab with little to no flavor or imagination.

I was ready for an amazing meal, this place is super expensive and is supposed to serve great food.

Service, was ok, for how much we were paying, you think they could at least keep our waters filled.

I did enjoy the steamed vegetables that came with my filet Mignon. The filet itself was kind of lukewarm when it came out, which had it been brought out five minutes earlier and not sat on the counter it might have been ok.

Luckily I was not paying or else it would've dropped a star I'm sure. There was nothing that really caught my attention.

The desert, the chocolate bag wasn't bad.

---------- This review is only for the Happy Hour and Bar area -----------

How can anyone not like the $2 burgers... or the $2 shrimp... or the $2 quesadilla.... or the $2 chicken skewers?!?!?!

Good food at a nice and cheap price, M & S is always a hit with the coworkers for an after work happy hour.  Get there early as it always gets packed.  They validate parking so make sure to take your parking stub in.  Pints of Stella were about $6 each, but who cares when you are getting such a deal on the food!

went to lunch there today because they have some promotion going on for tax day.  even though we called to confirm that they are participating, we didn't find out until after we were seated that it's for happy hour / dinner only.  The least they could have done was give us the promotion coupon for the miscommunication.  i didn't really like this place to begin with because of poor service during hh and pricey lunch/dinner menus that wasn't quite worth the expense.  what a disappointment.

I come here for the late night happy hour served at the bar.  great $2 appetizer/food specials.

you really cant beat a $2 burger served like a "$6 burger".  of course you have to buy a beverage.  but its worth it after 9pm on a weeknight.  plus they have some amazing appetizers like their Poke martini, wings, and whatnot.

the menu does change up after time.  i remember their $2 oyster shooters, 3 shots of big oysters in tabasco, diced onions and whatnot, was really great.

nice outdoor seating with a fireplace.  good place to bring a date honestly.  but i find i get better service indoors if youre with a group just looking to relax and have a beer at a nice place.

park in the structure next door.  the second entrance is reserved for Mccormick's customers, and dont forget to validate.  however the first entrance is sometimes open for hassle free parking, and a bit closer.

My boyfriend's co-workers recommended this place so we went for dinner last night.  I really enjoyed the candlelight and music in the restaurant.  I was surprised when the waiter put the napkin on my lap.  I was going to order shark, but they were out, so I ordered the Fruits of the Sea.  And boy am I glad!  It had the biggest and tastiest crab legs and shrimp I've ever had!  The pasta was not overcooked, and its flavor reminded me of Hong Kong noodles because it didn't have a thick sauce over it.

My boyfriend ordered the 9 oz. Top Sirloin which didn't fill him up all the way, but the meat was tender and cooked just right!  It came with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes, all of which tasted wonderful and seemed very healthy/non-greasy.  Our bill came to $53 including tip.

Ugh.

I am not a very picky eater. I'll eat most things as long as it doesn't taste like total crap. McCormick's, being a place that supposedly specializes in seafood, disappointed me. Twice!

The more recent time I ordered a tilapia encrusted with some nut. I think it was cashews. And with a "jamaican rum butter" which is probably why I thought it sounded good. In retrospect, cashew crusted fish sounds kinda gross, wouldn't you agree?

Well imagine you're eating cashews. Munching on some cashews out of a can or something, and then ALL OF A SUDDEN you stuff your face with a very pasty (almost creamy) and fishy-tasting fried filet of tilapia. That is gross.

It wasn't just me. A friend of mine ordered a tilapia salad and asked to get it replaced because it was inedible. So maybe it was the tilapia that day, or their tilapia in general, but. DONT GET IT.

End of story. Their appetizers are okay and I hear they have a good happy hour, but the food is um bad.

Went here for a friend's birthday during happy hour... (1 drink minimum)

$2 burgers?! $4 fish & scallop ceviche?! Que Yum! Love the happy hour menu. Totally worth it.

They had a special drink menu. Between me & my boyfriend we had 4 different ones...all of which tasted very similar!! Nothing special...but for $8 each I was expecting more. Their descriptions sounded very mouth watering but each had the same taste. Too bad...

I've also had their fliet mignon...well seasoned. Came with a side dish of mashed potato (yummy) and stuffed shrimp(semi-yummy). I should have tried some seafood dish but I wasn't feeling it at the time.

I would eat here again...but only for happy hour! Don't bother trying their signature special drinks... Ok, well try ONE since it would be like trying them all.

This place has the friendliest staff and the seafood is quite good.  You would not go to a steakhouse and order seafood and I would caution you likewise at McCormick & Schmick's.  This place is renowned for their seafood creations and that is what you should stick to.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we were pleased with the service.  I ordered the Atlantic salmon roasted on a cedar plank and he ordered the fettuccine with bay scallops and rock shrimp.  My salmon was delicious and a good sized portion.  His fettuccine was not the best tasting but as I said, this is not a place for pasta.  If you want good pasta, go to a decent Italian restaurant.

After dinner he was treated to a flourless chocolate cake served with white chocolate and raspberry sauce compliments of the restaurant in honor of his birthday.  The presentation was beautiful and the taste out of this world! Furthermore, we were not embarrassed by having the entire staff approach our table and sing a cliche birthday song.  It was done very low-key and  tastefully and both appreciated that!

Walked into here with a strange greeting from the host and someone who seemed to be the manager, or at least key holder.  It was like they asked me what I was doing here instead of saying "welcome, how many in your party, dining room or bar?  yada...."

My purpose here was to pad my stomach for a night on the town, so i ordered french fries & calamari, both of which were nice and surprisingly not greasy.  Also ordered a Kir Royale to wash it down and my cocktail server seemed to not know what that was even though she brought me the correct drink. But it was all about craning our necks to find her any time we needed something, like the check.

I was neither impressed or disgusted with this restaurant.  It's just blah, kind of like this review.
