Hell-a GOOD!  Nice.  Quick.  Hot.  Great salsa!  Spicy, thick but not too thick, good amount of real cilantro & onion.  Bean dip too, smooth and just the right texture / thin-ness for the chips.  Very definite pork-ey flavor to the beans.  YUM.

Hubby ordered the tacos al carbon - authentic double-wrapped corn shell with very good grilled steak within; perfectly cooked to medium rare.  Flavors were superb - nothing "off" on their grill - clean grill!!!  His came with a good scoop of pico de gallo and another of guacamole - I loved them both.  The rice, oh man was it good.  Perfectly cooked (hard to do when you have to keep it warm) and delightfully flavorful with full-bodied pork flavor but not greasy.  It was probably the best Mexican rice I've ever eaten.  And at Mazatlan?  In a strip mall?  In Aloha?  Wow.

My dinner was a platter - I forget the name now - in the specials category.  It came with a chile relleno (nice and fiery, the way I like mine - not baby!) and although the cheese within left a bit to be desired, the breading was nice and eggy and paired very well with the drops of good sauce over it.  You can kill a relleno with too much sauce.  A good hand-sized thin piece of grilled steak was next to my chili, perfectly medium rare as I requested - and again, no off grill flavor - beautiful to look at - and so tasty.  That cut of meat can be a bear to tenderize.  These guys have it down.  Finally (yes I'm a pig) I had a cheese enchilada, again the cheese was not outstanding - may be a pseudo real blend, but nothing awful, just not as thick and cheesy as I'm used to.  Still okay.

The tomato slices were pretty on the plate - fresh - not just a garnish.  I ate mine the next day (oh yes I did) at work and they were great.  Try that from another restaurant.  Won't hold up to a day in the fridge.  Matter of fact, I took home everything we did not eat, including the excellent chips, and made a breakfast AND a lunch with the leftovers.

We've tried a couple Mexican places around here.  Even Chevy's could learn from this version of Mazatlan.  I see they are all over the place.  No wonder if they are are all like this one.  I predict it's our new favorite place to eat dinner.  Hi Juan, (our server) if you are reading this!  BRAVO!  My only complaint?  I was too full to try the delicious array of dessert items, including FRIED CHEESECAKE.

I had a coupon and thought I'd try it out. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants and this was no exception. The coupon did what it was intended for (to get me into the door).

There were a few people in there initially when I arrived around dinner time. Then whole bunches of people started showing up. The wait staff was over whelmed. I finally got a chance to order and went for the chicken fajita.

It took a really long time to get my food - good thing I had plenty of chips and salsa to keep me conscious until the food arrived. By the way, the chips and salsa were really really good. As for the fajita, not the greatest in my opinion. The chicken was dry and not browned (I'm thinking  precooked and then added last after the veggies were fried up) and the sauce tasted overly sweet. The corn tortillas were ok (not even made on site) and the guacamole and sour cream was also only ok. Other than that, it was edible. I guess I'm spoiled by the local taquerias (which are more authentic) and all the trips to mexico.

Finally! A good Mexican food resturaunt in the area. I should have checked Yelp! sooner. Friends had told me that there were no decent Mexican sit down resturaunts in the area. I beleived them. Until last Friday. My family and I were headed to Happy Panda and decided at the last minute to try Mazatlan. The interior is nice, bright and festive. The wait staff is attentive and wonderful with well behaved children.

My husband loved his fajita burrito. My son's chicken quesadilla was delicious. The appetizer chips were crispy. They were served with a side of refried beans, an unexpected surprise. I had the ground beef taco and chile  rellanos plate. It was OK. When we go back I will try something else. The prices were great too.

We definately plan to add Mazatlan to our clutch of family date night restaurants.

I like all of the area's Mazatlan restaurants; this one is my favorite.  The lunch specials are hard to beat - good food at a great price.

The staff at this store is ultra-attentive, even more so than the usual high-quality Mazatlan service in general.  When I eat here I don't feel like a customer, I feel like a guest.  Even if the food was marginal (and yet it's great), I'd come for the cheerful service alone.

I'll give the other Mazatlan stores a 4/5, but this store gets a 5/5.

This was a spur of the moment dinner to celebrate Father's Day on our way back from the coast.  You see Big Daddy had a hankering for a margarita all afternoon so we ended up at this location in a strip mall along TV Highway.  I didn't expect a lot, but it turned out to be a surprisingly pleasant meal.

First and foremost, the service was above and beyond great from the moment we walked in the door to the time we left, followed moments later by our server running after us with the leftovers we'd forgotten.

I see my fellow Yeeps have ripped the Portland and Cornelius locations a new one, but there were no issues here.

Chips were crisp, warm and tasty and were served with salsa and warm bean dip, nice touch.  We were constantly having our water glasses and chip baskets refilled until we begged, "no mas!"

My house margarita on the rocks and El Jefe's 21-oz Killer Margarita (which he two fisted) were just fine.  We enjoyed the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (prawns and sauteed vegetables) and Carnitas de Res (tenderloin sauteed with peppers and onions).  The entrees were served sizzling hot on comically large 18" circular plates.  The kids happily nibbled on tortillas and burgers.

It is the sign of a satisfying meal when you wouldn't change a thing, except maybe use a coupon off their web site: http://www.mazatlanmex...

Before you read this review, keep in mind that I pretty much only order cheese enchiladas at Mexican restaurants.  It is my bread and butter :)  We have lived in Oregon for almost 6 years now and up until a week ago I have not found a place that makes enchiladas exactly how I like them.  This place did.  The cheese was runny, the sauce was perfect and the beans and rice complimented this mess perfectly.  My husband ordered a combo enchilada, taco and pollo relleno (I think) and seemed to like it pretty well too.  I can't say that there was anything particular about this place that astounded me except for the fact that it fit the bill.  Everyone has different criteria for their Mexican food and this might not be the place for them, but it was for me.  I highly recommend it.

This is me and my boyfriend's favorite mexican restaurant, anywhere we go we compare it to here. They make everything great with reasonable prices and very friendly service.
