Madera, CA
The food here is good, it's the only restaurant locally that serves Salvadorean cuisine (Pupusas). The quasi-gourmet latin food is pretty good. Although I've found the pupusas here to have good flavor and are very large (2 will fill you up), they are a little expensive as pupusas go and quite greasy. The ensalada de frutas (fruit salad) drink is my favorite item here.
At times the service is bad (particularly during lunch hour). They either need more waitstaff or hire another cook in the back. If it weren't for the service, I would have given four stars. -

Bummed, went today on Memorial day and it was closed. I wanted to try their specialty, pupusas, in honor of my Yelp friends Flor and Maya. I have failed them...

We found this nice little restaurant when we pulled off on West Cleveland Avenue at Highway 99 in Madera California. It is only 2 minutes from the freeway, and we had a fine meal. Mexican and Salvadorean food is served, we had tacos and pupusas. Friendly service and good food.
