Another good Yelp Find!
I always thought deep tissue was for me. You know, just dig in, grind away and tear it up. But what a treat it was to have another approach that combines the touch of Feldenkrais.
Maya definitely has the ability to bring you to a deeper place. I notice how relaxed my mind remains with me long after a 'Maya Massage'. I've been twice and looking to go again.
Which is why you've gotten this far in my review.
The holiday season approaches. What a great way to celebrate by getting your Yelp friend Bob a gift certificate for a Maya Massage.

Maya's hands are like silk and filled with magic. I am a massage therapist and have had a ton of massages. I keep going back to Maya. I feel so amazing after our sessions and so much more in my body. Maya's gentle touch goes really deep and brings me to an amazing and relaxed place. My body just "lets go" of the tension and aches. The sign of a good massage is days later you are still feeling the effects!

I agree with Greg H. about Maya's presence being able to bring you to a deeper place. Her massage is the ultimate in relaxation. You know a CMT is GOOD when they bring you to the point of phasing in and out of consciousness (The Zone).
Every massage I had with Maya has been the tops. Time for another. -

Maya gives absolutely delightful massage, and I've also seen her for Feldenkrais bodywork (which imporved my posture and just feels good) as well as Breema bodywork. She runs "energy" through her hands, which gives a delightful feeling of peace and serenity.

I have been seeing Maya for over a year now. Her massages are amazing! She is so nurturing and good at what she does. I have noticed the effects last longer than they use to since I go on a regular basis. I have noticed that my life has gotten easier. I work from a calm state now instead of a rushed state. This has a lot to do with the body work Maya has done on me.

in one word: bliss.
in more than one word ... When I first met Maya three years ago, I was an absolute wreck. I initially booked a series of massage with her and I was melty happy after each one of them. Which was great ... but here's the thing, by the end of the series I had transformed from a wreck to a human being. The stress had actually caused physical pain and tightness that was gone. But best of all I felt like a better happier person. -

I am an acupuncturist and massage therapist myself, so I have had a ton
of bodywork. Maya Durie has a true gift. She is so obviously attune to the subtle and profound energetics of my spirit, and seems to always know exactly what it needs. Most massage therapists can address the physical muscles, tendons, bones, nerves, etc. Maya has got this down as well, but in my opinion, where she really shines is healing your soul.
Maya lives in the realm with the Angels!
