When I lived on Moody Street, this was the source for all of my gifts, always, and for everyone. They have a great selection, sometimes a little pricey but definitely worth it. Also, their stock changes very frequently so there's always something new and something on sale!
Colorful Waltham gift shop sells a plethora of fun, unique items and traces its roots back to Belgrade. I bought a unique set of coasters for $16 - 4 brushed steel puzzle pieces that can be put together to form a trivet. The heavenly smell of candles greet you as you enter and the owner is very friendly and helpful in finding the perfect gift. I also purchased "egglings" here which are little plants (mint, parsley, and various other herbs) which grow out of an egg (http://www.eggling.com). In the back, there's a section full of adorable and fun toys. There is also a section with sushi sets, beautiful chopsticks, origami paper, and calligraphy sets. Scattered throughout the store are jewelry pieces, some designed by Pratt students. Browsing around this store is alot of fun and you're sure to find something unique.
I usually don't buy these kind of overpriced, silly giftts, but right now it is GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! 50-75% off kitschy stuff!!! Stock up for Christmas, if you like a gift store so pretentious that it calls itself an "art center."
