Sadly, the Max Grover gallery is in the process of closing. Max is fine and will continue to work on his art, however (this according to the local newspaper) his wife is unable to continue to staff the gallery as she is battling cancer. So sad...its a fun little place and I wish them both well.

Last time I was in Port Townsend I stopped into Max Grover's gallery with my friend. It's upstairs and small, very bright and cheerful. Max was sitting behind the counter drawing away. He welcomed us in and let us browse. We had made the rounds and expressed our fandom to the artist, even though we didn't have the resources to purchase. He was ready to chat, so we hung out for awhile and talked with him about his art and experiences. He told us about what was happening with the county and about some issues worth voting on. He's a very nice guy and a brilliant artist. If you are in Port Townsend, be sure to stop in to the Max Grover Gallery!
