Maui Wowi

Second coffee shop we've run across in an H.E.B. and we enjoyed frozen blended espresso coffee drink done quite well, and a medium hot cup of Kona java, also made well. The Independence Coffee Company in the H.E.B. in Brenham was the first and they made great drinks too....hope they do this in all their stores!

Now this review is of a smoothie....the mango banana one. I will have to try out their coffee some time...but they got big shoes to fill, I AM a coffee snob....and if it isn't at least "near" the coffee I make at home.....NOPE. Star Bucks doesn't even come close to my coffee, its not even in the same solar system.......maybe this one will be better?? We shall see.....

So, was doing the curbside pickup for groceries at the HEB and saw this place....I had arrived 30mins early so decided to get a smoothie...love smoothies......only a few choices really...so went with the mango banana one. Guy was cool and got to making it quickly....got my smoothie and headed to the back of the store lot to wait....
Took a sip....something must be wrong here.....took another....hmmm...no flavor..well, just a slight hint of flavor...what flavor that is....anyones guess.......took a few more...just in case this was such an amazing smoothie that my taste buds were in shock by its over powering greatness......sadly, that did not happen. Anyways, kept drinking it, since at almost 6bucks for a reg. size I wasn't gonna waste it....and fat guys don't waste food or drink...just aint gonna happen......

Like I said, will give the coffee a try...and maybe a different flavor smoothie...just to check........

Overall, employee was nice and quick....5stars for that...cust. service goes along way with me........BUT for a flavorless smoothie....just can't give this a Fat Man Approval......maybe next time.......

I am in love with this place!

Every coffee drinker knows the difference between a mass produced cup of coffee and a gourmet coffee! Then there are big name coffee shops that sell overpriced mass produced cups off coffee they claim as gourmet!

This one is the real deal! I comfortable space with loads of character and serving gourmet coffee at a reasonable price!

I ordered their dark roast with a shot of espresso (black) and a pumpkin latte for my friend! Mine was $4 for a large.....um amazing price and even better product for the price! My friend said his latte was really good and a small was about $3!

The Barista (think her name was Yum) was great! She was quick and friendly!

Went here at 7:30 am through the drive through. Rand the bell several times but no one ever came to the window to take my order. I waited at least 10 minutes!! Never again will I waste my time here. The hours stated that they were open and the "OPEN" sign was lit up. Customer service is NON-EXISTENT!!!! The absolute worst!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smoothies were decent but I wasn't too impressed with the lack of choices. These are also more of a "dessert" versus one of the healthier options you would find at a juice bar. The only protein option was a soy/whey mix and they have no nut butters, not even peanut butter.

Not a fan! I recently moved to Austin, from Portland, and was looking for a new coffee spot. Someone recommend Maui Wowi, so I figured I would give them a shot...Not impressed! The service was bad - it took forever to get our order, despite only ordering two stings AND being the only patrons. The coffee was bad - WAY to sweet and tasted scorched.

Note: I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and try one more time.

This place puts Starbucks to shame! You get some high quality and unbelievable tasting coffee drinks and without all that commercialism. I've brought coworkers coffee from here before and they're blown away. I think it's funny when I drive be the Starbucks down the street and the line is out the door and here's this place right around the corner and never really that crowed. Blows me away!

My favorite coffee shop! Barista always nice and engaging! The Caramel Delight is awesome. Even the new guy is pretty good at making drinks. They are usually open by 7 am when I swing by but on Monday they weren't. Not sure why but I didn't ever look at the hours. I recommend this place. Price is a buck or 2 cheaper than starbucks depending on what you order.

Best coffee shop in Austin. The beans are superior to all others. Hawaiian made. I will come here every day to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The owner is excellent... And has maintained the coffee shop at its best for 8 years. Thank you for being in Austin and providing the best coffee austin can offer!!

I had some trouble finding the location, because I didn't know it was inside HEB. I'm glad I finally found it though. It was worth the drive around, for sure. I ordered a matcha green tea smoothie. It was about 60 degrees outside and the lady that took my order made sure I knew they had hot drink options in the same flavor since it was "cold" outside.

I assured her I wanted the smoothie. With the $1 off check-in offer, my smoothie was a little over $4, and definitely worth it. The matcha green tea flavor was very rich and pronounced. The smoothie was the perfect consistency, and they put real whipped cream on top. I'd love to go back and try more flavors!
