Maui Coffee
2 reviews for Maui Coffee
I drink coffee very rarely, which you can view one of 2 ways:
1) Why listen to this guy, when he's not even a connoisseur (Yelp needs spell check, please) of coffee?
2) He is so discerning that only the finest and most worthy coffees ever grace his palate.
Let's just go with the latter assumption, shall we? And let's also forget about the minor war that breaks out between Starbucks people and Peets people and Coffee Bean people - blah blah blah. Bottom line, drink what you like.
And me? I like Maui Coffee.
Admittedly just a smidge hungover, we popped into the Kihei location for a pit stop. My friend ordered a mocha, and I, as usual, passed. But then upon his first sip, my friend exclaimed "wow, this is GOOD." I had a sip...and WOW, it was good!
I ordered one for myself and savored every last drop of it. I don't possess the coffee vocabulary to properly describe it, but all I can say is I normally don't like coffee and I loved this coffee.
How's that for an endorsement?
The coffee was good, but not better than you can get anywhere else on the island. The staff was genuinely not very nice. I felt like I had walked into a New York deli because of their "I really don't care about you" attitude. Sugars were out and they weren't helpful in getting any more... Maybe they had a rough morning, but I won't be going back.
