Malden Center (Orange)
It is a good Italian place. A regular restaurant that can serve humongous portions of food in a fairly quick time. However today( a Sunday) when I went, there was only waitress who was waiting all the tables, no complains with her. I read something like a 3.00 charge for separate/individual cheques. Not sure what that was about.

I hate to go against the grain, but the food my roommate ordered from here last night was way below grade.
The red sauce and gnocchi tasted like Chef Boyardee, and another dish with vodka sauce was so oily and rich that it was basically inedible.
It might be inexpensive (for the North End) but I would never eat their food again.
I love this place! the food is tasty, the portions are huge, prices are reasonable, and the staff is very pleasant. I regularly go to this place with my family and we all love it. try the garlic dipping sauce to go with the bread its great! Their sangria is great in the summer too.
I just ate there for the first time tonight and had the Chicken Marco Polo, which was two chicken cutlets with a slab of ham and swiss sandwiched in between, laid in the middle of more than enough ziti in a cream sauce. It was very tasty! (You have the option to get linguine or ziti.) This dish also came with a side salad and totaled 10.95. I had to bring half of my meal home.
All the pasta dishes gave the option of red or alfredo sauces which is so nice for me personally as I sometimes ask for alfredo to substitute.
Super friendly people here, very personable.
They also deliver!

Massimo's is now located at 157 Pleasant Street in downtown Malden, just a short walk from the Malden Center T station.
It's nice, nothing fancy but the food is amazing! Large portions for very very affordable prices. Salad and bread w/butter are served with meat dishes when you dine in, although the salad is omitted with take out orders.
My favorites are the Pesto Tortellini, Ziti Carbonara, Chicken Marco Polo and the Chicken Saltinboca.
You won't be dissapointed!

The food had NO taste. The ambiance was so-so. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, and 2 seafood pasta dishes. The sticks did not taste like real mozzarella and the calamari was WAY too chewy. The local pizza places have better appetizers! This was the first time my boyfriend and I have taken home leftovers out of pity. I ended up "re-inventing" the dish I ordered, but my boyfriend's dish was hopeless. Avoid seafood dishes at all costs here.
Very large portions. Went to the restaurant a couple of times, had great food, then ordered catering from here for an event - great choice.
Massimo comes out from the kitchen to check on everyone and talk. He has even installed a small TV in the dinning room that shows the chefs working on the food in the back - I'm not sure about that, but it was kind of fun to watch.
Great value and atmosphere! Massimo is the best!

I love this restaurant . You can see the patio with lovely flowers from the outside. Very Italian. The food is like homemade and the service very cordial. I recommend it.
This is a Quaint Italian rest. w/ alot of ambience.
You can dine in or Out on the Patio.
The food is excellent and Service is good.
I have never actually eaten in this restaurant, but have gotten delivery or take-out on many occasion. The food is simply terrific. I enjoy the shrimp and broccoli creamy, while my husband likes all the things that have people's names. The offer ziti or linguini with most entrees, but offer angel hair for $2 more.
This restaurant has been catering to the North Shore for over 10 years. Although it has move several times, the quality, and service is unchanged. The menu offers a variety of options from homemade calzones to the BEST chicken, broccoli and ziti I have ever had. The chicken franchese melts in your mouth. If you are lucky to dine on a night Max is offering his lobster bisque, have it as an app and take some home. It is rich, creamy and has tons of meat. All of these meals you can watch Max or the other amazing chefs prepare on the TV monitor. After you are stuffed eating as much as you can, have them wrap up the rest, pay your small bill, and kiss Max goodnight.
They are always my favorite, quality, quantity, value, and TASTE!
