Why didnt I come here sooner?!?!
I had a great experience here over the weekend!
I am training for my 1st half-marathon so after my first ever 12 mile run on Saturday my WHOLE body hurt...especially my legs.
I called on Saturday hoping for a Sunday afternoon appt and sure enough, they had several available.
My appt was @ 1 on Sunday so I got there at 12:45 to fill out the paperwork. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and informative. The waiting area was clean and organized.
After filling out the paperwork I was seated in the Tranquility Room.
It was very relaxing...comfortable chairs, lights dimed, soft music...
My massage therapist was Adriane. She was very nice and knowledgeable and she listened to all my issues then did the massage based on my soreness and wants/needs.
She concentrated a little longer on my legs b/c of how much pain I was in but she still gave me a full body massage...
She was amazing...perfect!
I walked into the massage in so much pain and walking funny. When I left there I felt 100 times better....barely sore at all and I could walk normal again.
I immediately signed up for a membership.
Its a great deal, especially with the training I am doing!
So, I will keep going back here and using Adriane!
I cant wait until my next appt! One a month just wont be enough! :)
I like this location and I always prefer to see Mareth. I haven't been there in a few months, but she's the one I always seek.
The location seems similar to all the other (legitimate) chain massage joints out there.
The main problem with these places is that they want people to join a membership. You have a monthly fee that you pay toward the monthly massage. This keeps them with a good clientele base, but it's just too much for most people to accept in the Great Recession.
Plus, there are a lot more legit massage chains opening up out there, driving the prices (and quality) down. $5 less here and $10 less there and you really have yourself some slave labor.
This is hard work for the employee. Remember to tip!
Parking can really SUCK when the nearby restaurants take ALL the spots for valet.
My friend recently purchased a Massage Envy membership and, as a Christmas/Valentine's Day present, she bought me a massage using one of her guest passes.
Parking was kind of a pain since this location is in the same parking lot as Capital Grill and it was Valentine's Day, but that was the only even slightly bad thing about the whole experience.
I've had lots of massages in my lifetime, but this one definitely ranked up at the top of them.
First of all, let's talk about the location. I walked in and didn't have any idea it was as large as it actually was. There had to have been about ten massage rooms.
The rooms themselves are the perfect size - not too big, but not too small. They feel intimate rather than claustrophobic. The massage table was extremely soft and comfortable. It felt heated, though it might not have been.
My massage was given by Louis Z. and it was absolutely top notch. I like my massages on the hard side. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and if there isn't a fair amount of pressure, it's like I'm not even getting a massage. Louis was great with a firm touch that was also soft.
My shoulders almost always have at least some tightness in them, but they don't now. My feet, one of the spots that I asked him to concentrate on, feel excellent as well. In addition, I didn't realize it until he started working on me, but my calves and thighs were sore and feel excellent as well.
I had such a great experience there that I'm thinking of signing up for their membership myself. If I do, I'll be sure to come back and let you know what I think about it.
Massage Envy, and especially Louis, is highly recommended if you need some relaxation in your life. And face it, who amongst us can't? Be sure to give them a call.
I went here based on a recommendation from my brother and I wasn't disappointed. Customer phone service was cordial and descriptive with instructions in going there and what to expect. I think they coud've thought of a better name for the business, though.
I was there for a hour and a half massage. $57!!! Whhhhaaat? Yes, that's right. I had Denero (excuse me if I spelled his name incorrectly) and he was excellent. Very professional and was very receptive to my needs...more pressure, less presure, etc. Make sure you specify what kind of massage you want so the receptionist knows who to book you with. My masseuse does deep tissue.
They offer packages but I didn't really look into it since I am not local, I wasn't interested. This isn't a high end spa type place. Just massage...so don't expect aromatherapy oils and eye pillows.
