I decided to give Mas' a try after driving by so many times and I'm glad I did. Overall the food was on point and the service sucked.

Best dishes- Honey walnut Shrimp & #4 sliced chicken with jalapenos. Eaten together, the combination of sweet and savory was A-mazing.

CON- Vegetable Moo-Shu Dough Sliced Chow Mein. The noodles were chewy and stuck together and were super bland.

My brother and his girlfriend have been raving about this place for a long time, so, I asked them to take me. At first, they were hesitant, saying that I probably won't like it because the service isn't great. Dude, I ain't that picky! So his girlfriend finally caved in and we went.

We got to the restaurant and was given a table fairly quickly. It was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Apparently, people loved the lunch specials here, hence the crowd. After being seated, I glanced around to see what the other patrons ordered. The first thing I noticed was how oily the food looked.

My brother's girlfriend ordered the Mongolian beef. I ordered the fried rice and the green onion pancake. I asked the waiter to be easy on the oil on the fried rice.

All the lunch special comes with soup and eggroll. The eggroll was different from other places, where it had curry seasoning in it. It wasn't too good, but it was definitely interesting. The Mongolian Beef was good. But the fried rice was too oily! Man, imagine had I not tell them to be easy on the oil; it would prob come out drenched! The green onion pancake was decent, but I had better.

And my brother was right about the service. The waiter seems to be uptight. Personally, I don't mind this, as I thought it was funny.

The menu will be familiar to anyone who has dined at a Chinese restaurant, save for the emphasis on the lamb and beef. The food is served with bread (nang) and is generally very good. On occasion, I've had a dish that was sub-par.

The problem with this restaurant is the service. When they get busy, the service is atrocious. They will forget what you ordered, mix up the order, forget to take your order, etc. Be warned that if it is crowded you will probably not have a good dining experience.

If you eat there on off-days or at off-hours, then the food and dining experience is very good.

I have been wanting to check out this place ever since a friend had told me about it. Islamic Chinese? I have never heard such restaurant and was fascinated by trying out something new. Immediately upon discovering this restaurant, needless to say, I went to my best source YELP!

4 STARS 113 REVIEWS! Heck ya, this place must be great!

With great anticipation and high hopes, my boyfriend and I finally got to try this place yesterday.  To my disappointment, there was really nothing special about the food except for they don't serve pork and alcohol. The food is probably kosher but I can't taste the difference. It's just like any other greasy Chinese food. We went there for the lunch special which comes with an entrée, white rice, soup, and egg roll. The price is reasonable for what you get, also they serve the specials on weekends which is great since most places only have them on weekdays. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and my boyfriend ordered Mongolian Beef. My Kung Pao Shrimp was excellent with lots of shrimp, though I wish it had some KUNG PAO KICK to it. Mongolian Beef was not as great..they put too much green onion and the meat was kind of bland.

The service was outstanding. Our waiter got our orders quick and the food came out very fast.
I should note that they require $20 minimum for credit cards.

Although I was not impressed with the food, I am willing to come back and try something different next time.

Let me get something straight, the four stars is just for the food because the service sucks. They seriously need to have some boot camp kinda thing for the waiters because they may treat customers like that in China but not here!

That said, the thick noodles are just freaking delicious, that's all I go for. Being vegan they have like  3 options for me but this one is seriously to die for. I lurve it.

They should stay open until 1 or 2am on Fridays and Saturdays..it would really help out a lot.

The sesame bread is exquisite, really.

I love Mas, and everyone I know loves it too, just not the waiters, or the staff in general..they actually fought with me when I said I didn't eat eggs!

Everything about this place is awesome!  We've been coming here periodically for the past year.  Based on the reviews from YELP, we were not let down.  My personal favorite is Hot and Sour Soup, the first time I had it I burned the roof of my mouth, yet continued to eat it as it was so delicious.

As we've been several times we are able to judge the food as we've tried many dishes, yesterday we sampled the Lamb and Jalapenos lunch item, it was very tasty.  My fiance had the Leek & Five Spiced Beef, both very unique flavors, though we both decided that the Lamb dish won out for the day.

Our favorite item on the main menu is the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Just delicious and a must have.

We have never had trouble with the service, quick and easy.  This place is always busy, the parking lot is full and the restaurant is large enough to accommodate big groups of people.   They do not serve Alcohol so be prepared for soft drinks, Iced Tea, hot tea or water.

Overall  - A great place to have lunch or dinner with good service and great food.

Pros: Excellent da bing - thin and thick are both delicious and fresh made. Soups are delicious, green scallion lamb dish is also very good.

Decent: Fish/seafood here is just ok for me. Dishes tend to be on the salty side. Most portions are large, except for some of their veggie dishes, which come out on the small side and lacking.

Cons: Service is horrible. Granted it does get very busy in here, but be ready to ask for the same thing 3x before getting it. I darn near filled my own teapot today because they just wouldn't come back to refill it. Everything takes a long time. They should have an item on the menu called "Waiting" with it checked by default, because you WILL wait for your food and any service request here.

This place gives me somewhat of a headache everytime I come because of the cons I mentioned. It gets very packed, it's very loud, and service is horrible as I've stressed many times. If you can weather the storm, it's worth a try.

Today a group of us from work got to eat here.  I have always been curious about the place driving by the distinct dome that sits atop the restaurant.  We were a group of 5 and the best dishes we tried were the walnut shrimp, and sweet and sour fish.  It was the best chinese i have ever eaten.  Its very very affordable too.  They did make some mistakes and brought out the wrong plates but they remedied that quickly.  I cant wait to eat here again!

Infamous da bing, the item that draws the crowds. Personally, I don't find the thick (w/wo green onion) all that palatable. The dough is too thick and tasteless for my liking. However, the red bean thin bing is a hidden gem. Each layer is stuffed full of flavorful delicious red bean, making it sweet enough for a dessert..

Hidden gem #2 would be the beef noodle soup. Never (not even in Taiwan) have I had better. The soup was choke full of flavor and the meat were tender cuts lined with thin layers of tendon. That alone would be worth returning for. In fact, I'm already plotting another visit for that one dish.

Tofu with egg dish is typical but delicious. Lamb with sour cabbage and rice noodle is also ok. The honey walnut shrimp is typical as well. =/

By the way, the portions are humongous! So bring your family, friends, extended family, and their friends, to finish up the goods.

An incredible must-have culinary adventure!

Do yourself a favor and come in a large group. The portions are gargantuan, and as such if you want variety bring other people along. I went with a party of eight, we gorged ourselves for under $10 apiece. If you come with just two or three be prepared to pay more and bring home scads of leftovers.

I heartily recommend any of their lamb dishes, most especially lamb with green onions. Their vegetable potstickers are out of this world. I love their lamb soup with homestyle croutons, order the sesame bread along with it, it's a knockout. Home-made noodles are grand. Frankly, if you've heard of it before, don't order it. Go for the gold and pick something you've never come across and be prepared for vast portions.

Pork lovers need not apply, Ma's is completely Halal catering to its Islamic clientèle.

we came here for a birthday so it was a large party. we had to take up two round tables. we were never here before so we had to rely on yelp to choose some good dishes for the table! it's family style so we ordered dishes for our table. everything was really amazing!
-sesame bread with greeen onions: we got it thick, i would definitely get it thin next time (whole table consensus)
-garlic chicken with jalepeno: this was byfar the most favorite dish for the table!!
-handcut noodles: the noodles were too thick for my taste. i like my noodles a little thin. a little too dough-y and flour-y for me

the other table got basically the same, but they also ordered the scallops. they said that the scallops were their favorite!!

not the best service...but i've had worse service at a chinese restaurant
-sweet and sour pork: bright red. it tasted like any other sweet and sour pork
-lamb with green onions: it tasted very strong and game-y. not the favorite for new lamb tasters
-honey walnut shrimp: delicious!!! the walnuts are nice and toasted and a little sweet. the shrimps aren't friend but its a little crispy!
-spicy eggplant: i usually dont like eggplant, but this eggplant was sooo good. the sauce was amazing to dip the bread in

My goodness. My friend and his dad took me here, and I found this place amazing. One thing that I noticed was that the portions were huge and the dishes were pretty cheap. The staff was very quick, and the food was delicious.

Some notable dishes included this cold chicken type of dealie marinated with the smoky flavors of licorice, anise, and some herby thing. It was amazing. It comes with a little side of cilantro. I've never had anything like this before. And for those of you who are thrown off by cold chicken, just think of cold cuts, but with bones in them. You have the work for your meat!

The lamb and leek with the bread was amazing. I don't remember the names of these dishes because my friend's dad did the ordering. I must admit that I have had better lamb and leek, but the lamb and leek PLUS the sesame bread thing... Gosh. It was so good.

Another thing that I enjoyed was the flour noodle type of chow mian. I don't know exactly what it was called, but I could definitely notice that it was not made of egg noodles or rice noodles. The flour noodles reminded me of handmade Korean sujebe noodles, but stirfried like chow fun with beef, veggies and shrimp.

I don't know if this is the type of place you'd get your Americanized stuff. I'd stick with the unfamiliar stuff or whatever the waitresses/waiters recommend.

Credit cards accepted, but there is a $20 minimum.

I like lamb. This place serves lots of lamb. My parents and relatives love the sesame bread with green onion, as well as their sour and spicy lamb meat soup. As for me... It's not like I won't eat it, but I'm not one to rave about it either.

Other than that, this place might have an identity crisis. I've never seen another place that's obviously Chinese in the food it serves, yet Halal at the same time. So it's interesting because the patrons are half Chinese, half Indian/Muslim/Islamic/Middle Eastern.... like a clashing and coming together of cultures.

Summary based on 1 solo dinner:
--great food (though I was able to deal with only one dish in a place oriented toward family style dinners)
--very good, friendly, attentive service with none of the issues others mentioned.  Not even close.
--not terribly expensive with $20 minimum for credit card
--easy parking
--no wifi.

I knew it was chancy coming to a Chinese restaurant for dinner solo.  Generally I end up with some-kinda-noodles with as much veg as I can get.

Here I got the 3 flavors dough sliced chow mein, which was great, though I would have like about 1/2 the portion and substitute gai lan or some greens. It's hard to ask for this kind of substitution when they don't know you.

I think the minimum number of people to really get a balanced dinner is 3 and 8+ would be ideal.

Was in Anaheim with my gal pals and remembered I've seen this place and Jerome W. got ROTD on this place, so gotta check it out. Came at about 8:30 on a Friday night and there were quite a few people waiting, had to wait about 15-20 minutes for 4. Overall experience a solid 4.25. Food roundup:

Sesame green onion bread (thick): Had to have this based on the photos and peering over to other's tables. This thing is ginormous! Nicely crisped, covered in sesame goodness on both sides. The thick pancake is about 1 1/2 inches of carby goodness with some green onions strewn about. This filled us up with just one piece per girl (2 for me).

3 flavor hand sliced stir fried noodle: We were going to get plain old chow mein, but saw the hand sliced and our server says they do it in house. What came was a huge mound of delicious, thick noodles with hunks of beef, chicken, and tasty shrimp.

Garlic chicken with jalapenos: This had lots of veggies and the server gave us a choice of dark meat vs light, so that was nice. This one was ok, compared to the other 2 yummy dishes we already had.

Lowdown: I too was skeptical, in a random location all by itself, but it's so good! Gotta have the sesame onion bread (maybe try thin next time) and those hand cut carby noodle goodness. Expect a wait during peak times. Our server was really nice, explained our different options and made sure to put our sesame order in pronto due to the amount of time it takes to cook. Also, we got plenty of water refills, I guess you put the Islamic in the Chinese and the bad service goes away? Definitely coming back here very soon!

Ate here again last night so BF and my parents could try. Again, everything was awesome. This time we tried the Wonton Soup, the Three Flavor Pan Fried Noodles, Beef with Chinese Broccoli, and Cashew Chicken.

The Wonton Soup was very good, and there was plenty to serve the four of us, plus a few more. The Pan Fried Noodles were seriously the BEST I have ever had, anywhere. They were thick and somewhat chewy and they had a delicious sauce on them. The Cashew Chicken was incredibly flavorful, and all the chicken was great quality.

The Beef with Chinese Broccoli was good, but I think the "Chinese" Broccoli was Broccoli Rabe, so it was bitter, and I didn't really like it. I will stick with the normal Beef with Broccoli next time. The beef though, was awesome, and the sauce was great.

This place is just so amazing, and I am so glad I found it. My parents and BF all agreed that this was some of the best Chinese food they had ever had. I can't wait to go back again and try more of their dishes!

The chow mein I had this weekend was gross. I am a big fan of chow mein, yet I found this one to be actually and absolutely disgusting. It had no flavor and was coated in layers of equally flavorless grease.

Their other dishes were at least edible (at least in comparison), but nothing spectacular.

What is up with this place? One day it's super greasy and flavorless, and the next, it's decent. It's never actually that good, though.

Mas' Islamic is the BEST most authentic Chinese food you can find ANYWHERE! I used to eat here about 4x a week for lunch because it is the cheapest, best meal you can get - especially in Anaheim.

Go to the "Special Lunch" because it is around $7 for: rice, a huge entree, soup and an egg roll. People are scared to eat here sometimes because of the name Islamic in the title, but that is the best thing about this place- it is all HALAL food - meaning everything is cooked to a strict standard, really fresh, hot food every time.

Get anything and everything on the lunch menu including my top 5:

Crispy Orange Chicken
3 Flavored Fried RIce
Honey Walnut Shrimp
Mongolian Beef
Curry Chicken

Top it off with their glorious sesame bread and you're all set for less than $10!!!

Three last reasons this place is the bomb:
--I brought my boyfriend's dad from Beijing and he said it was exactly what he eats there.
--Chinese people work there & speak Chinese, and Chinese people eat there.
--The food is not like Panda Express where it goes in you and out of you in 10 minutes flat (wink).

ps. dinner is good there too, but much more expensive and the same food as lunch. They have the best mu shu chicken at dinner anywhere though.

Zài Jiàn!

It's unfortunate that the service doesn't match-up with the amazing food.

My parents would rave about a place that was Chinese but served Halal. I thought to myself- Sweet! Finally a place where my Muslim friends and non-Muslim friends could meet up without worrying if their seafood entrees were decent, or if they had items that either party would be interested in eating.

So on a Friday night, our usual family dinner night, we headed down to Mas' for some fine cookin'.

When we arrived the lobby of the restaurant was packed with people and sadly enough the host was alone and attempting to pull take-out orders and seat guests simultaneously.

Our wait was about 20 minutes, 10 of those was wasted realizing that the host forgot to write down our name on her clipboard.

Once we got our table we already knew what we were going to order. Like any other Chinese outing we planned to order our usual: either hot and sour soup or chicken corn soup, steamed rice, vegetable low mein, a chicken dish and any other side we felt was needed (in this case, an order of their sesame bread). But, this discussion was between my family and I, our next challenge was to find a server.

After 10 minutes of trying to flag down a few servers, we finally got the attention of one. Isn't it an unspoken rule that a server is supposed to greet a guest within 30 seconds of them sitting down? I'm sure with them being busy held up the wait, but this was ridiculous. Another thing was that we had to ask for water. I know sometimes you have to ask for tea, but water?

Like everything else our food came out after some time and my expectations were pretty low after the service, but it was good. The vegetables were crispy and it wasn't too oily like other Chinese restaurants. And to top it all, the bread was great but HUGE, be sure to it eat it with the rest of the food instead of deciding to snack on it before the rest comes out. You'll get stuffed quick.

In the end, if you can wait a few, stop by for some great grub. But be sure to clear your schedule.

Their food is better than ethnic Chinese food because it's more flavorful.  Curry in wontons?  What's not to like.  I'm Asian, and even I have to say some of the food is an acquired taste.  I'm used to rice, not flat bread.  Overall, the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

This place has awesome food that is almost ruined by horrid service. When it isn't busy the service is decent, but this place is popular so it gets busy often during dinner, especially during the weekend. It gets so packed that you will see a lot of people say screw it and get take out instead. They will tell you that the wait time is only 15 minutes even though it looks like there's 100 people in the lobby, but you know what? They turn over those tables really fast and you actually get seated as quick as they promise. There is also another dining area in the back so the restaurant has more capacity than it seems.

Their food is really good. This is up there with the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. They are a Chinese Muslim restaurant so they have lots of lamb dishes, but no pork. Chinese Muslims are from the northern China so expect a heartier, flavorful cuisine. This type of food is usually eaten with flat breads. They offer four types. There is sweet with red bean or savory with green onion and sesame. Both types are available either in a thick or thin style. Hot pots full of stew are also a popular item. Lots of people like the ones with sour cabbage stew, but I haven't acquire the taste for it. You can also get rice and noodle dishes as well as halal versions of food from other parts of China.

Even though I'm getting hungry just thinking about the food, I don't eat here as often as I wish I could because the service when it is busy is just plain terrible. As others have mentioned, their dishes never seem clean. Every "clean" plate we received seem to have some little bit of dried sauce on it. Our request for chopsticks took forever. Do not dream about getting ice water. We asked so many times that and they kept forgetting. Eventually the busboy got it for us. Lots of people have just go up to the server station and get their own ice water. That just shouldn't be happening.

Portions are generous and the prices are decent, although they charge a lot for vegetable dishes for some reason.

Chinese Islamic food?  Does that sound odd to you?  Well, apparently, it's quite common.  There's a huge Chinese Muslim community and I'm so happy I get to benefit from it with all this great food.  But don't worry.  It's not too far off from the goodness we're all used to.  I've been dying to try out this place since I moved to Anaheim and I seized my opportunity on a Sunday night.  We got there around 7:30 and this place gets crowded.  I was shocked.  In Anaheim?  Really?  This place must be good.

2 seconds after we sat down, they had tea and water for us.  Amazing!  I didn't even have to ask for water.  They just bring it to you.  Groundbreaking.  I had to have the sesame bread with green onion.  Each order comes with 16 slices... this thing was huge!  The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and delicious inside.  Perfect for carb lovers like me!

We also had the black bean chicken which was top notch to many restaurants I've had it at.  The walnut shrimp was also got high marks based on my experiences.  They include a bed of cucumber underneath the shrimp and it complements the dish perfectly.

I highly recommend this place if you live in the area!

I didn't expect a great service after reading some of the reviews here, but our experience was completely different. We went on a Friday night around 8 and got seated right away. The food came within 5 min, even the Sesame seed pancake (thick), which the waiter told us needed 15 min, came right away.  The food is authentic and the sesame seed pancake is just phenomenal. The 3 Flavor Curry Spiced Fried rice was AMAZING.  Best Halal chinese that I've ever had and I live in NY and Frequent Chicago a lot.  The service was also equally enjoyable, they cam enough to check up on us, but not so much that it became annoying.  The owners made accommodations to not use certain ingredients that a member of our party is allergic to.  Very friendly staff.  If you going to order make sure to order the Spicy Garlic Chicken, the Sesame Chicken, Beef in Spicy Sauce, the 3 Flavor fried rice and the Hot and Sour Sauce.  I wish this place was in NY.  Moderately priced.  4 people for $65 and we took home TONS of food.  Would def. repeat if I lived in the area.

FOOD IS FANTASTIC!  I have to admit I was a little weirded out the first time my relatives took me here.  Islamic..chinese...HUH?!?  Decor of the whole place, inside and outside, shouts Islam, but the food?  The food is some down right solid chinese food, just minus the pork and such b/c of Islamic dietary restrictions.  My family loves this place so much (especially b/c of their cheap lunch specials) that we always make an effort to eat here whenever in Anaheim.

This review will focus primarily on the food that we ordered on our last visit here:

For each lunch special dish that we ordered (~$7 each, $11 for green onion pancake), you get as appetizers a complimentary spicy/sour soup and a deliciously crispy egg roll.

Main Dishes:
1) Green Onion Pancake (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)  Family favorite! Also, this is a must-try b/c it seems like almost every table ordered one.  A signature dish perhaps?  Portion size is HUGE.  For a group of 5...we finished only 60% of it.  If you order this, you might want to skimp out on the rice as a food supplement.  The bread is not salty or greasy so that's good news for people with high blood pressure like my Dad.

2) Orange Chicken (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) Family favorite!  Their orange chicken trumps all orange chicken out there in OC!  Bold statement, I know, but of all the places I've tried, I think it's true =) The breading is at a minimum, the meat is succulent and tender.  Flavor is spot-on with a zesty sweet tang (I even saved the scraps so I can cook with the flavor myself back at home)

3) Beef w/ Green Onion (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) My favorite!  Beef is pretty good (tender and seasoned right) but personally, the highlight of the dish for me is the HUGE portion of green onions!  The scallions are fresh and crisp and just make you feel healthy.

4) Szechuan Eggplant (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)  Solid dish according to my parents but I think it could be slightly improved.  I prefer my eggplant a little firm but they cook their eggplant until it's very soft to the bite.  Also, I think they go a little overboard with volume of sauce they use (it's ok though b/c I took the sauce to-go and am cooking my own szechuan eggplant to my liking at home)

5) Dry-Fried Green Beans (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)  Standard dish.  Green beans were fresh and crispy.  Flavor was as expected.

6) Lamb w/ Sa Cha Sauce (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)  This was our first time ordering this.  The meat was tender.  The sa cha sauce is very apparent but it still doesn't overpower the lamb b/c lamb itself has a strong flavor.  Pretty good, I would order it again but it's a little greasy for my taste.

7) Shrimp with Chestnut (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) I thought this dish lacked flavor.  Too many ingredients with no sauce or anything to pull the dish together.

Overall, we spent $65 for 5 people including tax/tip, AND had about 40% of the food taken to-go (It could've fed 8 ppl in one sitting)  Their lunch special deal is fantastic if you want to save money during these tough times and eat solid chinese food.  Correction: ISLAMIC chinese food =)

Chinese food without pork is a risk, but they pull it off.  Authentic and tasty Chinese food at a place you wouldn't necessarily expect it.

Come here for the breads, it's their specialty.

The BEST Honey Walnut Shrimp ever! Seriously. No lie. Crunchy and sweet with out the massive blobs of mayo. I'm not a mayo hater but most restaurants serve this dish with a whole glop of it. They go mayo crazy and think it's great. Not only is it bad for my arteries but I'm sure it goes straight to my thighs too. Big no-no.

My group also ordered the sesame bread, black pepper shrimp with mushroom, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. Everything tasted so good. The sesame bread serving is HUGE! I did not expect such a large portion. One piece of it was enough for me. Very good bread but ridiculously filling. The other dishes were just as flavorful.

The service was very quick and food came out just as fast. My friends and kept saying how we were already full but for some reason we could not stop eating. It was that good. We ended up leaving with major food coma. I ended up taking the leftovers home and I think I have enough sesame bread to last me the entire week!

My favorite for Chinese. The service is good & there's never a long wait. They have great salt & pepper shrimp(deshelled) that has the perfect crunch. Great noodle dishes, spicy tripe, great flatbread...I can go on & on. I make it a point to head out there whenever in in Anaheim.

A wonderful surprise.  To be honest the Islamic Chinese part didn't sell me at eating there, intriguing yes.  I went with a bunch of friends for a friend's birthday, I'm glad I did.  If you're looking for the best Chinese food period.  Mas' is the place to go.

Honey Walnut Shrimp... is by far my favorite food items in the world.  And I would have to say their chicken chow mein is still the best I've had.

Best halal chinese food in SoCal

Orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and lemon chicken are the triforce of non-middle eastern halal chicken in SoCal

I literally drive from San Diego to Anaheim for this chicken alone

Minus one star because they're weird hours limit my chicken intake

My parents are all about the sesame bread, and I think most people like the thick one, but I only like the thin.

This place is treat!  I particularly like to eat this on cold gloomy days or rainy days.  Their soups are always full of flavor and offer a warmness that soul food gives to a hungry heart.

Their lamb dishes are prepared very well.  Hot oil and the combination of green onions are sure to hit the spot.

The interior decor is warm and feels very home-like. It's like going home to your parents to have a loving meal.  We usually get out of there spending about $45 for 3 and always end up with left over sesame pancake that we take home and eat for another 2 days.

My mom and I like their noodle soups as well, but only order this when my dad or brother aren't around since they prefer the family style meal with variety and sesame pancake.

I don't know if I'll be eating there during the summer but its my go-to during the cold winters.

By far some of the best Chinese food you will EVER eat. Every item we had was so wonderfully flavored and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the service at this place sucks, majorly. They are unfriendly and after they take your order no one comes back to check on refills or how things are. We had several different servers while we dined, of which none introduced themselves. Prices are pretty decent for the quality and quantity of food. I would love to rate this place higher because of the food, but I cannot because the service is so bad. One last reminder, if your order is under $20 they do not take credit cards.

Three Flavors Dough Sliced Chow Mein, Sesame bread with green onions (thick), walnut honey shrimp, mongolian beef, 3 flavors sizzling rice soup, dry sauteed string beans and cold jellyfish. ....rx by our seat mates.
His Dad returned to the restaurant prior to flying back home to Honolulu to hand carry the sesame bread home, that good!
Great service, ample free parking and large dining room...
Will be back.... go with a group to share the goodness and very large portions too!  Catering & banquet available too...

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Islamic Chinese? Intriguing...

The food was really fresh. The quality was good and so was the service, which can be suprising at a Chinese restaurant. We got the beef with green onion and the kung pao chicken. We preferred the beef dish. I would recommend going with a large group. We will be sure to bring friends next time so that we can try more things. The dishes are kind of big for only two people.

This is the best Chinese food that I have been able to find in the area. We will be back for sure!

A late dinner here at Mas'. Arriving around 930 we sat down and ordered the onion pie. I had forgotten my iphone so I couldn't check to see what was the bigger hit, the sesame bread with onion or the onion pie so we got the pie since it was only 2.95 instead of 9.95 and there was just two of us. Christa M. got the kung pao tofu which is fried tofu in kung pao sauce. It was either that or the spicy tofu. I didn't try it but, maybe I'll sneak a bite from her left-overs tomorrow. I got the orange chicken, and it had a nice kick to it.

After looking at the pictures on here, it makes me think I should have tried the honey walnut shrimp. I will be going back to try this for sure.

A downside to this place is it's all family style so if you go with one or two people it's a bummer since you don't get to try a bunch of different things. I like my places that have smaller portions and you can order two or three things for under $15.

This gluttonous behavior has to stop. Some time I wish I didn't like food as much, or didn't have the appetite of a horse.  I mean the food here is beyond delicious so its NOT my fault. From their sesame bread to their hand-carved noodles to their clay pot soup, 5 stars across the board.

I went there with my family for Sunday night dinner.

Food came piping hot in a reasonable time, just shortly after our order.

I said maybe 5 words the entire meal, most of which had something to do with passing me the dish for seconds (family style serving)

I ate too much, too fast.

I broke a sweat.

I smiled.

I had seen enough shows on the travel channel to know that islamic chinese food, much like korean style chinese cuisine, is much different than the traditional faire we're all used to in most chinatowns.  I waited until my second visit to Mas' to give it a fair shake.

The first visit  consisted of the flat sesame leek cake which tends to be a bit redundant if you're used to white rice with your chinese food.  It's also a bit expensive at 10 bucks a pop.  If you're a rice eater like me, then I would suggest skipping the flatbread.

We also ordered the chicken with jalapenos which turned out to be awesome.  Great sauce which went really well over rice.  Whole garlic cloves sliced thinly and a ton of it.

The dish I ordered again on the second trip was the kung pao shrimp.  Great sauce and tons of perfectly cooked shrimp.  I have never raved this much over a kung pao dish in my life.  The dish doesn't have an overwhelming burnt taste like it usually does.

The third dish we ordered today was the knife cut noodles with three flavors.  the flavors being chicken, beef, and shrimp.  It being an Islamic restaurant, you will not find one piece of pork in the whole establishment.  Not even an oink.

Great food.  Huge portions, but the prices reflect the quantity.

No booze.  I guess they frown on that as well.

I came here for lunch last week and I was on the fence on how to rate this place. I couldn't decide between 3 or 4 stars. The food was good. Really tatsy Chinese food. The only thing I had an issue with was the service. It took forever for the waitress to take our order. They do have a huge menu and I wanna go back and try some other dishes.
