Portland, OR
We go to Marzano's every time we're in Manzanita. The dining room is a little small, but the decor is attractive and it's a warm, cozy environment coming in out of the cold Oregon weather. The owners are usually there working and have been gracious and friendly in all of our interactions. We order the roasted potato and prosciutto pizza (our fave!) every time and then one other kind (which varies, but we're never disappointed). I also love their homemade vinaigrette dressing. Their salads are fresh with high-quality ingredients (no boring iceberg here). The pizza always arrives hot and I love their crust which is not too thick, not too thin and just the right amount of crispy/doughy. The wine selection varies, but we've never had a bad one. This place is almost always packed for dinner, even when we go in the wintertime. It's probably your best bet for a consistently good meal in Manzanita and definitely the best pizza we've had on the coast. We usually stop by the coffee shop next door (same owners) for some great espresso and ice cream after dinner!

Review from Neil W.
I can't speak for the pizza, but the calzones amazing. I cannot be anywhere near Manzanita without the promise of one. The crust is simple and chewy. They don't overfill the calzone. You get just enough to go away happy. Plus the calzones come with a side salad and they have a great salad with delicious dressing.
The service can be a bit slow, but if you are in Manzanita are you really in a rush? -

While the rest of my family are huge fans of Fultano's Pizza in Cannon Beach, I have become a fan of Marzano's Pizza in Manzanita. Fresh ingredients, tasty pizza.
Also good to note that they have odd hours.
I agree with the other reviews that say the service isn't the best, but its something I'm willing to put up with if it means I get to have that tasty, tasty pizza of theirs in my tumtum. Where it belongs. -

The best pizza on the North Oregon Coast next to Fultano's. Really good dough and fresh ingredients. The dining room itself is pretty small so it can get crowded. We came here on an October weekend - can't imagine what it must be like in the summer. Our server was very friendly and the pizza arrived promptly, so we were very happy. Will definitely return when we're in the area!

Great! Simply great! We stopped by -thanks to yelp - and were not disappointed. I'm an East Coast pizza snob and Marzano's is some of the best pizza that I've had in OR. Leftover pizza usually sits in our fridge for a few days before someone reheats it for lunch - but not this pizza. The pizza that did make it home - some was eaten on the way back to Portland - was gone the next morning. Great pizza, friendly service, nice location. Take-out was very busy - which is a good sign.

Review from Emilie S.
Their pizza is SO GOOD. It's kinda perfect.
Ingredients are high quality, salads are yummy--- their dressings are perfect.
A tad on the expensive side.
Weird hours, but that is the norm in Manzanita.
Take out is a good option, their atmosphere is nothing special.Listed in: Feed Me, Get outta town!

I cannot think of a better meal to follow an afternoon hike up Neahkahnie Mountain. We started with the spinach salad - Italian cured olives, pepperocini, feta, and sundried tomatoes and a wonderful house-made vinaigrette! As for the pizza, well, we devoured every single bite of it. Yum!

I am a meat eater... but I opted for the salad and veggie pizza, and I'm thoroughly glad I did! The salad is pretty standard. The balsamic dressing is good. The veggie pizza... Oh my! It was so delicious. I do not know what they do to those veggies but they are cooked and are just so tasty! My friends and I had leftovers cold in the car on our drive up the coast the next day and it was still great. I'm coming back next time I visit Oregon.

We weren't sure what to expect based on a couple other ratings but wow did this place exceed our expectations! We ordered beer, salad and pizza all of which was awesome! I think the owner was our waitress even and she was super sweet. The salad dressing was killer and the pizza perfectly crispy underneath and cooked through. Nothing worse than a soggy centered pizza. Highly recommend and would for sure go there again.

Had two large pizzas as take-out. Hot, on time, nice folks. But too expensive and just so-so pizza.
Perhaps the best pizza in the area but there should be better. -

Eh. Everyone raves about this place. It's really just OK. I ate there and just wasn't impressed at all.

A girls night in is what we were having. I mean we were walking all day on the beach as well as checking out the town. Time to put our feet up, drink some wine and have some dynamite pizza!! And it was just that! I'm not much of a pizza craver as they all seem to be the same so when I bit in to the roasted veggie slice I was pleasantly surprised. It had roasted eggplant and roasted garlic, tomatoes and we added artichoke while I had to have my anchovies on the side. It's a tradition and anchovies go with any pizza as far as I can tell. The slices are huge and even 3 hungry women could not finish it so we of course had some for breakfast as well.

Still really good stuff. Stopped here last weekend with Ms. K., my brother, sister-in-law and niece and was still very pleased with the product they put out.
We got: Spicy Italian, Greek, plain cheese and four cheese. All very good stuff, plus we're having leftovers for lunch today. The crust is great, the sauce is a perfect blend of tomatoes and spices and the toppings feature quality ingredients.
Still highly recommended.Listed in: Places to visit in Tillamook…

Review from Don B.
Oh my god.
Marzano's seriously makes some of the best pizza I have consumed in the state of Oregon. Excellent crust, quality toppings, cooked to perfection. The smells coming from the restaurant are a dead giveaway of the quality of food made within. So amazing, so delicious. If Marzano's were in Portland, it would be a weekly staple in my diet.
Not only is it amazing to find a good pizza in the state of Oregon, but in Manzanita, of all places. Wow. That's really all I can keep saying is wow, wow, wow.
This pizza rivals Apizza Scholls.
Wow. -

$30 for a pizza? I don't understand this, I think it's cruel and unusual, and punishment on my pocketbook's part. Went here with three of my family members because it smelled amazing and we were staying right down the street...but I really wish we would've explored a little more and found something better.
Service: (or lack there of) needs to be amped up several notches if they expect to charge that much for the food (which I'll get to in a second...). All of the waitresses and kitchen staff looked like they were about 15 years old, and our server in particular was superb at ignoring our table and offering us her slowest services---plus she had no sense of humor.
Food: Ordered a large pizza that was half of the Traditional Combo:
Mozzarella, Provolone, Pepperoni, Fresh Mushrooms, Black Olives, Green Pepper, Red Onions, and Marzano's house-made Italian Sausage.... and half Smoked Prosciutto Ham---Garlic-Herb Olive Oil sauce, Mozzarella, Smoked Prosciutto Ham, Roasted Red Onions, Red Potato, Montegrappa Cheese. Both kinds were mediocre, kind of lacking in flavor despite the fresh ingredients. We didn't even bother to take our leftovers. They claim to be one of the country's best pizzas. Keep looking. Trust me. -
Review from Katey H.
Went to Manzanita for the weekend and heard how great the pizza was, since we'd never had it we tried it on Sunday night. The crust was really great and I liked the sauce a lot also.
It was a little expensive when you compare pizza places (more on the lines of Flying Pie or Pizzacato) but it's worth it to splurge now and again. They have a nice take out window so if you are picking up pizza you don't have to go inside and feel like you are in the way. -

Decide to try this place out after all I'm always game for pizza. Had a special order calzone it was very tasty. My friends pizza looked good. We would definitely eat here again.

Review from Kirk F.

I thought the pizza here was very good, but I don't think I'd say best in Oregon...everything is very fresh and tasty but it does not have the special chewiness in the crust or tang in the sauce or bite in the toppings that separates great from good in my own pizza ratings.
But please be clear--I'd go back. We all enjoyed our meal, Marzano's is an easy place to bring kids, there are Oregon beers on tap, and the service is incredibly nice. Marzano's is an excellent option for an easy dinner in Manzanita! -

Pizza on the beach.. what's not to like??
Veggie pizza and salads with friends.
Then the yoga retreat leader paid. I think it was a little high in price.. but again.. good pizza on a beach area!! They seated us quickly and with no problem accomodated the 8 or so of us with extra chairs etc..

I agree with the first reviewer, Marzano's rivals Portland's Apizza scholls. Their prices may be high, but c'mon this is a coastal town, they gotta make their $$ for the entire year on us tourists.
What makes their pizzas so special, the perfect crust, and home made Italian sausage and fresh veggies. The pies are substantial in size - and a decent meal in itself, plus they have birra moretti on draft, what else do you need. -

I'm not even a big pizza fan, but Marzano's is tasty.
I get the roasted veggie and my husband gets the Greek. Great sauce, crispy crust, good balance of veggies and cheese. Little pricey, but for the best pizza in Oregon (in our opinion) and in a coastal town to boot - it's a solid 5. -

Best pizza in town (well the only pizza now). But also the best pizza on the coast! All of their menu is great, but Get the "fancier" pizzas for a real tasty treat! the four cheese and roma are my faves!

Highly recommend the Combo Traditional, called ahead and picked it up. It was literally 4 blocks from our hotel, picked up a bottle of wine from Apple Grocery (which has a great wine selection) and enjoyed while watching the ocean. The pizza sauce was fantastic and even the box smelled delicious the next day. Highly recommended!

Marzano's is a Manzanita must. A pizza oasis just off Hwy 101 in the quiet but clever town of Manzanita, visitors are certain to catch the unmistakable aroma of savory pizza at the lunch and dinner hours. The prociutto ham and red potato pizza is a tradition whenever we visit this gem of a town, and it's divine. Pricey, but worth it if you're craving pizza.

Blah.... nothing special.. and messed up our order, too.
We tried this place out last night after reading all the glowing reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. The only conclusion I can come to is that things must taste better to most folks when consumed within a short distance from the ocean.
Firstly, we ended up with the spicy italian somehow, even though we ordered sausage and peppers. The employee working the counter was a little rude to my wife about the error as well. Whatever, it was edible, and they made us a small sausage pizza to boot- in which the sausage was so flavorless and under-seasoned, it was almost inedible.
The crust was extremely bland (as in not enough salt), and the sauce was nothing to write home about, either.
All in all, I would say you'd be better off making the trip North to Cannon beach to either Pizza a Fetta or Fultano's, which are both tastier than Marzano's. -

Pretty good pizza, a little on the cheesy side. It almost reminded me of Pizza Hut cheese, which can be a good thing if that's what you're into. The sauce was tasty. The service was good.

Loved this place, Staff super friendly and attentive. Also the pizzas were not $30... Our total bill for 3 people was about $55. That was for 1 medium pizza (10 slices or so), 2 small pizzas (5 slices or so each), large salad and 2 pitchers of root beer.

The service is quick and friendly and the pick up window is a great idea but the food is blah. The crust was overcooked and the sauce is blah.

Mo P. needs to have her head checked. She represents the typical out of state a-hole who is just looking for something to complain about. She probably got lost in Manzanita on her way to Seaside... No there are no bumber-cars or put-put golf in Manzanita.
Marzano's has some of the best pizza in the state. Hands down. I've been there many times and am always amazed at the quality pies this place puts out. The best ingredients, helpful staff, and a nice atmosphere. This place is a gem. -

Loved the pizza! Very, very good pizza. And I appreciated the kindness with which the staff dealt with my elderly father, who complained about the chairs not being comfortable enough. He is experiencing problems with numbness in his legs that I doubt could have been helped much with more comfortable chairs, but the waitress who listened to him was sweet and kind and didn't get defensive at all. I wish I could have told her how much I appreciated her compassion with my dad without embarrassing him, but the opportunity did not present itself. We stepped in for an early dinner and were seated right away, but while we were eating the small restaurant filled up entirely and had a line going out the door. So while the food is worth the wait, I would suggest that you arrive a little early for your meal so you can avoid the lines. I took off one star because the pizza seems very expensive. It is wonderful, though...

Not a big fan. Marzano's was blah, thin and sort of soggy. Way too expensive for what you get. We have a beach home in Manzanita and visit frequently. As far as Pizza goes, you'll get better by driving to Nehelam and checking out Pizza Garden.
