We have had other dentist, often felt that there was always something else that was being required for our dental wellness OR we went and then referred to specialist. we have the utmost confidence in Dr. Poarch and his staff, and feel his work and staff exceed our expectations. We have now been patients for more than ten years.

BEWARE: Following a cleaning and consultation with Dr. Poarch, the Business Manager REFUSED to provide a written estimate/pre-determination of benefits. BIG FLAGS for us we and took our business elsewhere! Glad we did.

I recently started going to Dr. Poarch's office after some less than desirable experiences at other offices in town. From the time I walked in, the staff was nothing but professional. My hygienist was gentle and thorough. I knew there was work to do, but Dr Poarch explained the plan in a manner I could understand. I recently had a bridge completed and the quality was second to none. I was very self conscious with the bridge being in my smile line, but it matches and fits to perfection. The procedure was painless, which is not easy for me to say when talking about dental visits. Dr. Poarch and his staff run a top notch office.

This man is arrogant and pompous. During my visit he seemed irritated and bothered that I needed a few procedures done. He made me feel totally uncomfortable. He told me that I needed thousands of dollars of work done. I went to another dentist and they told me that I did not need anything as extensive as he said. They also billed me for procedures that my family had done that were 100% covered by my insurance and also told me that my insurance did not cover a procedure that they did cover at 80%. Do not go here!

Dr. Poarch and his staff have created a prestigious dental establishment. Unlike any other, Dr. Poarch takes the time to create a bond with each and every person to walk through the door. I highly recommend Dr. Poarch because I believe he is amongst the best in Middle Tennessee.

Between working and going back to school, Dr. Poarch's office has always been flexible with my family's schedule! Our dentist of 10 years, the office respects our time. Never a long wait in reception, and they work on our time scheduling appointments and follow-ups. When dental work is needed, Dr. Poarch does a thorough job explaining what he and his assistant will be doing. More importantly, they make sure our family knows at-home tips with brushing, flossing, etc. on how to prevent teeth/gum issues to begin with-saving money on my end!

The people here are pretty nice and friendly. I really like my hygienist Sam, she's really great and nice. Office is clean, has TVs in the rooms. They aren't open on Mondays though which kinda sucks, but no biggie.

In all fairness it has been quite some time since I saw this dentist. However, I still have nightmares. He was mean hateful, and condescending. He tried to tell me I needed crowns across my six front teeth. When I went to see a different dentist, they informed me those teeth did not even need any fill-ins. It has been at least three years and those teeth have yet to need any work. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and all he did was make it worse. He did a root canal himself for me "to save me money." I have had three root canals. That one was the WORST by far. When I was shaking too much to hold a metal rod for an x-ray to measure the root, he was hateful and telling me I was causing him to have to be exposed to radiation. The procedure was not any less than the ones Dr. Kim-Park performed (she is excellent). As well as the tooth abscessed from what must have been his improper technique since it first came up on the roof of my mouth (at the top of the canal). Therefore, resulted in bacterial contamination at the end of the canal, a path which was only open to contamination during the procedure. I called him about it and he said I needed to come in. It went away before I made it to his office so I called him to tell him. He said since it went away I didn't need to come in. I later found out that when the bump on the roof of my mouth went away that was because the abscess ate its way through my bone and eventually came up on the other side. Of course when I went to him he confirmed it was an abscess, denied it having to do with his root canal, and never offered to compensate for it. Why would he when dental practice in general doesn't run on a quality of work stand point. So his "generosity" saved me no money, in fact costed me much more, and was a HORRIFIC experience. Enough said. Maybe he has improved since I last saw him. But I sure would never return.

I had really hoped I d like Dr. Poarch & staff as he had been recommended by a couple of acquaintances, but after 3 visits I will be looking for a new dentist. Dr. Poarch seemed to be very hurried and curt to me during all 3 visits. I required a crown & filling & he came across as irritated that I had dental problems rather than being helpful. I had some uncomfortable dental experiences as a child that have left me slightly fearful of dental visits, & rather than showing any compassion Dr. Poarch seemed plain irritated that I needed a break from him working in the back of my mouth, like I was wasting his time. His receptionist staff was pleasant and the technician who performed my cleaning was very gentle and kind. However, the assistant who helped with the fitting of my crown was very hateful and rude. On top of the dissatisfaction with my office visits was the cost...my crown was almost $1800 and the filling was nearly $300. Based on my experiences I cannot recommend Dr. Poarch & am searching for a new dentist.
