The Shoe selection at the Marshalls is AWESOME.
Really.
Especially if you are a fan of Chucks. Usually there are 2-3 various colors with good inventory in stock for men, and more for women.
Overall, it is large and not too crowded and is a sweet place to shop for junk and stuff.
I likes it.
This Marshalls is without a doubt the Marshalls location you come to when you're on the prowl for high ticket items. And hurry--because the more expensive inventory moves through this store FAST.
I splurged on 2 Ted Baker jackets this past Saturday, and some Prada and D&G heels caught my eye.
Always good finds. When I want to save money I make it a point not to come here!
Disgusting fitting rooms, but I deal with them. Best of luck finding a fitting room door that closes/locks on your first attempt!
I don't like this place. There, I've said it. I don't care how good the prices are this is not a store I will return to unless I am desperate. If every other clothing store in the area is closed, including Ross, I will rethink this decision, but otherwise this particular Marshalls has lost me as a customer.
On two occasions my adult daughter and I have found the personnel lacking in basic business skills and manners to the extent that it has ruined the shopping trip for us. On one occasion my daughter was rudely scolded by a fitting room clerk for something totally unfounded. Yesterday, we stood in line for 20 minutes waiting to be checked out by an unsmiling and very slow cashier.
The store has that just this side of "shlock shop" look to it, with narrow aisles and merchandise hung haphazardly. I realize that the merchandiser could very well be doing this intentionally, to convince the buyer that he or she is getting a long searched for deal, but come on, this place is just not pleasant to shop in.
I prefer Ross and will select it over Marshalls whenever possible. I can't talk about Marshalls' quality since I just don't have the patience to wade through a sloppy store with indifferent salespeople.
I'd rather shop this Marshalls than the local Ross, but I've noticed lately that Marshalls has the same merchandise from store to store to store - which makes that bargain store find seem a lot less appealing. Just saying. Other than that this is a really nice store. Everything is well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Always a hit or miss. This time was a miss. last time: miss. time before: two pairs of born sandals. to enjoy this place, you've gotta have time, energy, and patience. otherwise, it's not fun at all.
I love the shoe selection. They carry some high-end shoes (well..the low end of the high end, if that makes any sense)!
Don't be surprised if you end up spending a lot. But don't worry, redemption will come in the form of joy when you step into your pure leather, Italian-made snakeskin heels..that came at a price of only $35!
An okay location. Selection varies when you visit like most Marshall's but this one is cleaner than the Mira Mesa one.
Slow checkout staff like at most Marshall's.
Plenty of parking. A solid 3.
This location use to be a lot better but it's still one of my favorites. Probably because it's one of the neater and more organized ones. But no matter where you go, and I have been to Marshall's all over this great state, all cashiers go to the "Ring as slow as you possibly can" school.
I just got really nice plates from here. 2$ ea. Awesome. And not that stoneware crap. Nice china. So yes! They also have an AMAZING shoe dept. It's also very clean. And has the best finds out of any marshall's around. And I love a find. A 5 for the extensive shoe dept alone.
One of the better Marshall's I've set foot in. Clean, decently organized, spacious.
One major pro is the expanded shoe section at this location.
Handbags are ho hum (as they are in most Marshall's stores I've found), but usually some good finds in the outerwear, sweaters, tops, pants, etc.
Despite sounding unenthused, Marshall's is one of my favorite shops for picking up one-offs and basics!
Oh baby, this is like the mother lode for Marshall's. Rich people do love their shopping, and La Jolla is no exception. Great stuff here. Highly recommended.
