8 reviews for Marshall's Farm Honey
One of Marshall's Farm Honey's Favorite Reviews What's This?
We sampled the honey at the Marin Farmer's market and loved it. There are so many varieties from mild to strongly flavored that everyone can find a honey they like.

Good God! The sage honey is great!
Despite me arriving at the Ferry Building when they were closing up shop they were incredibly helpful. And the man was very sweet.
The Honey and Almonds is about one of the most incredible things I have ever eaten (goes well with a Napa Chardonnay).

I love, love, love their honeys. Recently found out they do tours though you need to make reservations, or go on Greenbelt Alliance's Aug 19, 2007 tour at Marshall's Farm:

Since we were in the area Sat 8/4/07 around 3pm, we decided to just drop by and see if the Marshalls were there to help us. Luckily, Spencer Marshall was there and so very friendly and helpful!
Went into the country store/tasting room and nobody was there so I got to sample some honeys. Then walking to the honey house found Mr. Marshall.
He greeted us and I asked what was the fresh stuff he had. He then let us try about 6 different honeys that he put into those plastic bear bottles and using tiny spoons let us try them.
I ended up buying 3 -8oz jars that cost me $24. I got:
Sonoma Wildflower-From the Hills & Valleys of sweet Sonoma County (said the sticker).
CIA Greystone Herb Garden honey-a harvest from our hives at the organic garden of the Culinary Institute of America St Helena Napa Valley, CA (per sticker).
SF Bay Area Eucalyptus "EucAcialicious" - Eucalyptus & Acacia Blossoms make this nectar (per sticker). Spencer's favorite honey.
He said the Chestnut Honey wasn't ready and there were no Star Thistles this year yet.
He showed us a bit of the machines he uses and pointed out his hives & garden.
Nice guy and Great honeys. You can find their honeys in Marin, Berkeley, SF, Oakland farmer's market and online.

Ok don't tell my doctor, because he isn't supposed to know. Being a diabetic you are supposed to have things in moderation, if not ever at all when it cmes to sweets. You can't however resist the taste of this all natural honey. I've had the pleasure of trying a couple of the flavored sticks. It's a mild, sweet honey, but not overly sweet that you think you're tasting pure maple syrup from Vermont. There are a number of varieties of honey they use, dependent on season. A great "hidden gem" in Napa Valley. All natural, Kosher, and just plain delicious. Worth the price!

This is the place to come to get some honeys. The honeys come in all variety and sizes and flavors. However, you must come on Saturday to get them. You know what they say, "No time, no money, no honey". If you do have time and money and come on Saturday's farmer market you may pick up various honeys from the honey straws in water melon or cinnamon flavor up to cutie honey bears to 12 lb jars of big Honeys:-)

I went on a tour organized by the Greenbelt Alliance because I usually buy their SF blend at Rainbow. It was really cool to see where the bees live and the beekeeper Spencer Marshall use a smoker and go through the hive looking for the queen bee. I learned a lot about bees and honey, which I liked because I am a nerd. We tasted a number of different honeys and honey - food combinations, like delicious honeycomb and cheese. And we got to see the two basic machines in their bottling plant in action. A unique experience!
