i've been here once back in 2001 and i said NEVER again. after trying other places and STILL going back and forth between salons, i decided to go back here for highlights. the girl did such an awesome job on my color. although highlights are usually expensive, it wasn't as expensive as i would imagined. PLUS, you get an awesome head and neck massage. it probably lasted 5 minutes but it felt like 30 minutes. it was heavenly.

i've been there two more times for hair cuts....by two different gals...and BOTH did excellent jobs....PLUS there is that head and neck massage again. also, the price for the shampoo, hair cut, blow dry, style was pretty reasonable which i didn't expect. i guess the price depends on the hair stylist. and what level/ scale they are considered.

i used to go to paul brown and sometimes macy's to wax my brows. the gals at each of these places do great jobs (ask for patty @ PB or jodi @ macy's) which is why i've been going to them for the past few years...but since i go to marsha nadalin for my hair now, i decided to try ...and i'm glad i did.

so now, i go to claire for my brows. she's very patient, informative (about skin since she's a esthetician and does facials) and takes the time to make sure you are aware of what she's doing to your skin AND that you are happy with the results...which is why i'm STAYING there. she doesn't make you feel rushed like the others. people forget that customer service is important...and she makes ya feel that you are important. she's a sweetheart.

I've gone to Marsha since before she had her salon.  I haven't been in a long time now because she became more and more and more distracted while doing my hair.  At the same time her price went up and up.  Color/highlights, cut, & blow dry never under $200!!

The various people who do the hair washing (with EXCELLENT scalp massage) do a great job.  THAT part has remained consistently good.

I was the lucky recipient of a gift certificate for a french mani/pedi at Marsha Nadalin's.  I love me a pampering, so I was totally eager to go.  Little did I know that it would take THREE hours to complete the job!  I was even more shocked when the sales lady rang up my purchase and I found out that the services cost over $100!

It's one thing if you're being luxuriously pampered for three hours, but another if it just takes your nail lady forever to do everything.  Aside from the 15 minutes of massaging I got, I spent most of my time feeling bored and restless.  The nail area is just a tiny little space on the side of the salon, too, so it was pretty cramped with all the chairs and roll away foot baths.  Not relaxing in the least.

I felt so badly that my friends had spent so much money for something so mediocre.  I could justify those services for about $35 (I've been more pleased with my $25 mani/pedi at the hole in the wall salon), but it was tragically disappointing from a salon that pretends to be so high end.  I'll save my money and never go back, not even for my hair.

How can anyone take a place seriously when they charge a hundred bucks for nail painting???

The more I go here, the happier I am that I have Rita.  She gives great scalp massages during the shampoo.  I definitely come out more relaxed than I was going in.  I also just found out that 2 other people that I work with go to her and another will be going soon.  My experience there keeps getting better and better each time I go, and I have no doubt it's because of Rita.  If you don't ask for her and you don't like it there, it would be your own fault...

A few months ago I took my mom here to get her hair cut. The stylist did an outstanding job, and the my mom got a lot of compliments on her cut.

Last week my mom went back and the same stylist did a hack job. The stylist was distracted by her husband impatiently waiting for her to finish my mom's cut so they could go to lunch together. My mom's poor hair was WAY shorter than requested and the stylist was not friendly or chatty this time.

Life is too short to waste time on an inconsistent hair stylist. Next time I'm taking mom to Chop, where the stylists are friendly and the quality is consistent.

So the first time I went here I got the best cut and color of my life! (Thanks Erin!)  I was so stoked that I FINALLY found somewhere good.  Well, it was all downhill from there.  The next time they totally f'ed up the color cuz they didn't have any record of what formula they used the first time around, and Erin was on vacation.  Rather than TELL me that, and ASK what I had done the last time, they just tried to cover their butts and GUESSED!  They ended up dying it twice because it was completely the wrong color.  It was supposed to be a dark brunette, but first they made it dark blonde, then it ended up kind of red.  I was appalled, because I look horrible in red!  And they made me feel like I was the one who was being an a'hole.  The owner called me the next day because she heard I didn't leave happy, but it was too late to do anything about it.  She apologized, but didn't offer to refund my money or anything.
Anyway, I very stupidly went back several more times (Lord knows why), but it never was as good as that first time.  Plus I don't like the atmosphere- too noisy and trendy, and the stylists are always too busy gossiping with each other to pay attention to what they're doing.  Never again.

Oh yeah- I just remembered what the final straw was!  (How could I forget?)  They put PINK streaks in my hair!  "Copper lowlights," she said.  "Ok, that sounds nice," I said.  Man, was I in for a surprise!  When I voiced my dismay, they said, "No, no, it's not pink!  It's copper!  It looks nice!"  Bullsh*t.  My boss was not happy either!  That was it.

I have only been to the salon to get my hair cut and colored and I have only ever been to one stylist - Trisha.  I am so glad I found Trisha.  She does an awesome job on my hair and I'm very happy.  I have fine hair and I get blonde highlights.
