The food is excellent, but expect to pay a pretty penny going here. On the outside it doesn't look very fancy, but once you go in you are greeted by tuxedo clad men, eager to serve you. But they once barred me from dining due to my wearing of shorts. You are definitely going to pay for the experience along with the food at this meal.

I found it odd that they did not soften the butter for the bread... but it isnt a big deal. Typically you will have a salad and and some sherbet to cleanse your pallet before the main course which are nice choices of chicken, beef, veal, pasta and seafood. The beef and seafood get pricey though. I recommend the Poulet au Cognac. YUM.

There was a guitarist the last time I went, very little business too.

Wow, this place has been open 20+ years, and there still hasn't been a review?  Anyways, I have been numerous times because I had a coupon for dinner, but was freaked out when it was a classic French Italian restaurant.  My friends lack of pants...(he was wearing shorts) prevented us from going in.  The service is a dead on replica to actual fancy dining.  Nothing haute, nothing casual, just servers in dinner tuxedos with about 5 servers ready to refill your water at every sip.  On most nights, a piano and violinist are in the dark corner playing slow music.  The food is pretty reliable here, and they have nice takes on most classics.  I usually stick to the cheaper, creative items such as seafood cannelloni or chicken marsala.  Seafood pasta and stuffed chicken are good choices as well.  This is one of the few places I have seen that offers Steak Diane, but it is about $90, so going to an actual steakhouse would probably be more worth it.  Most dishes are prepared well here, but for the prices they charge, it just isn't really worth it unless you have coupons.  This hole in the wall place is definitely somewhere to take a date for a surprise fancy dinner.
