We have stayed here when visiting Houston and have always felt it's a top-notch hotel. One weekend we were there, there was a volleyball tournament which meant many loud teen girls everywhere! My 14 year-old son didn't mind, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was little noise in the hotel.

The parking is okay, and if you don't get there early enough, it can be far away from the hotel. Not too far, but still far enough to make you wonder about your car. The hotel is adjacent to lots of restaurants and that is a huge plus.

I love the area, love the convenience to the Beltway and downtown.

My disastrous wedding was here. Our very expensive photographer's very expensive cameras got stolen during dinner. YES. I'm fairly sure that it wasn't one of our guests. The hotel was no help. They did not seal off the kitchen (to which the ballroom is connected), they did not question their staff and they did not care. The on-duty security threw out a "this happens all the time". Huh. So, you're confirming it's not my guests (since they aren't here all the time). I'm not on CSI, but that leaves only one pool of people. But why ask them anything when you clearly get a cut of what they pawn on the days they don't show up to "work"?

To top it off, the after party was supposed to be at the hotel bar, but they randomly decided to close it before midnight instead.

Fuck you, Marriott Westchase.

I was in town for training and the Marriott was my company's preferred hotel in the area.

Rooms:
*Pretty much what you expect
*Relatively clean
*No free wireless (costs $10.95/day)

Fitness Center:
*Satisfactory. The pictures online looked way nicer than it actually is. There are a handful of each type of cardio equipment (bikes, elliptical, treadmill) - TVs on each machine is a plus
*Small weight room with some free weights and a couple of machines but nothing fancy
*Tiny indoor/outdoor pool
*Hot tub looks dodgy

Service:
*IT Helpdesk helped troubleshoot my issue connecting to the Marriott wireless network
*Front desk gave me a horrible recommendation for dinner

Location:
*2 minutes from the training facility
*Walking distance to a handful of restaurants and bars
*15 miles from downtown
