We had a room overlooking the park, very private balcony which was nice. Not all are that way, we lucked out. Nice room, awesome Marriott beds. Pool, service was the best I've ever had poolside at resort. As soon as we walked in the covered the padded lounge chair with a terry cloth cover, handed put fruit and otter pops, very quick with the drink orders. Restaurant upstairs has a live band that was good, food was great and you can order from the main restaurant menu.
Great location for walking to the harbor,etc. Very clean and well kept.
Cons: $29 a day parking mandatory ( really? Like your in downtown sf)
Room service, we wanted breakfast at 6:15, they called at 5:50 am to ask a question on the order, then apparently forgot because I called them an hour later to see where it was, it arrived 20 min later oops! -

Excellent deal through Hotwire. Paid $130 for a $250 room facing the ocean and pool. Room was excellent. Walking distance to harbor and Doheny State Beach. Loved the pool and outdoor ping pong table.
$25 fee for self-parking-only bummer. -

One of the worst experiences at a hotel I have EVER had. The customer service was despicable--they didn't help with anything. Listed are just a few of the problems we faced:
--They didn't give us a non-smoking room, even though we requested one, as my aunt and cousin have asthma. When we complained to the front desk, they just said they would put in an air fan!
--I left a bikini bottom in the bathroom in our room, and didn't realize it until after we had checked out and left. We called several times with no response. When we finally got someone to actually "check on the situation", he said they couldn't find it. Really?
--There were other things that I'm blanking on at the moment. Will update later. I just really wanted to post this and hope they lose business.
In the words of my grandmother whose birthday we were celebrating at the hotel: "I hate this place!"
