Airport Marriotts always disappoint.  I have learned this after many years as a consultant and many nights spent in Marriotts across the world.

The interior of this one is better than I expected, but still not up to Marriott standards.  I think the maids here are paid less and/or are more jaded than maids elsewhere, because the cleanliness here is questionable.  3 of 4 of my bathroom towels had weird hairs stuck on them.  As in hair that doesn't belong to me and just might have been from down there, if you catch my drift.  Gross.

My biggest gripe, though, is the airport shuttle.  I called the hotel 4 different times asking about the shuttle and each time they said it's "on the way".  When the shuttle finally showed up, the driver asked, "how long you been waiting."  When I grumpily responded "a long time"  (it was 12:30am, I'd just come off a 6-hr flight from NYC, and I had a conference starting in 7 hours so I had a right to be grumpy), he responds with, "that's weird, the hotel never called to tell me."  Needless to say, I was peeved.  Don't they know I'm Platinum, damn it!  Hmph.

Service here sucks.  Skip the Marriott and opt for the Westin across the street, if you're forced with picking an airport hotel.

I had a wonderful time in this SFO marriott... the valet opened the door for us and got greeted by the bell person and was checked in  really fast we were in room 1082 if I recall it right.. we have a nice view of the bay and the airport and it is really nice at night... They have a full service starbucks which is a plus for me... The staff was really friendly... my kids went for a swim... they might need to update the swimming pool area the ceiling looks funky and some of the TV in the thread mill machines are not working properly but overall the experience was pleasant...

This place is supposed to be a 4 star, but they may
only be hanging on by a thread at the rate they're
going.

The hallways reeked of morning breath EEEEEW in the
mornings. Good God, I had to stay here for 5 days and
shudder to think how I managed. A lot of deep breaths
and running down the hallway to escape the funk.
