Not bad for a long stay in downtown Tampa.
The pluses:
- clean, spacious rooms
- over sized bathrooms
- comfortable accommodations
- nice, well maintained pool area
- free wifi
There was also a nice touch of Southern hospitality from the entire staff from the front desk to the housekeepers to the valet and courtesy shuttle drivers. The only downside was the immediate area, which is pretty dead during the evening and on the weekends. -

Wow! I was very under-impressed with this Marriott experience. Here are a few things I noticed.
-when pulling up, all cars must be valet parked. Not bad for $12 per day BUT extremely slow! You must have 20-30 minutes to wait or your car if you want it and no valet etiquette - they just get out and walk away. You have to chase some of them to tip. Additionally, you are waiting in the hot, humidity for the valet guy to show up. Not fun in business attire.
-Lobby looks fairly updated but the rest of the hotel is certainly not. Old beds, old rooms, the only up to date thing is flat screen tv's. Sinks and tubs are old with rust spots, dents, and cracks. I was in a suite and the couch was broken down in the middle, the pen on the desk had been chewed up by someone else and left there YUCK!...
-Service was not very friendly except the cleaning crew. When I asked for a late checkout, before even pulling my room up, I was told "the latest I can do is 1." When I stated I was a Platinum member, I had to ask to get 2 and was finally granted that.
-Exercise room was terrible! Out of towels each time I was there, hand wipe container was empty, very dirty, old, broken equipment.
-Next to a busy street, sirens fairly frequently, noisy traffic in the room.
-Airconditioner was very noisy. Turn it off, listen to the traffic, turn it on, listen to it grind away. Glad I bring earplugs when I travel.
Overall, stay here if you have to, not if you want to. I'm glad I didn't have to use the hotel for anything but sleeping. -

This isn't a 5 star hotel, but for a business hotel, I thought it was very nice. My hotel room was extremely clean, newly redone, free wifi, large LCD tv, nice pillows and a comfortable bed.
The service was good, the people attentive to your needs...what more could a girl ask for. -

This hotel was great! I only stayed there one night, but the staff (Sabrina) at the front desk was very helpful. The rooms were very clean, and the housekeeping staff (Justine) was very accommodating. Also, the free Wi-Fi in the rooms was the icing on the cake!
