I would really like to give 3.5 stars.

This is your typical limited amenities hotel. This hotel is right across the street from the Hyatt. I think the Hyatt is maybe $40 more per night. So if you are looking for a more luxury stay, definitely go with the Hyatt. For people who don't stay in hotels much, don't expect a traditional Marriott. This is a Courtyard which caters more to business travelers, not vacationers.

The Marriott Courtyard is very clean and the rooms are spacious and comfy.  The pool is kind of ghetto & could use some minor changes, but the staff is unbelievably nice. What made this a good stay was the location. You can walk to everything in downtown Santa Rosa and the front desk staff is very helpful with information on the area. I would steer clear of the little restaurant inside the hotel.

I would stay here again if in town for wine tastings or another event.

It has comfy beds, good showers, easy internet, and an "OK" staff.

The bad part... EXPENSIVE and homeless people in town like to squat in the adjacent creek and park their cars in the back lot [yes... some homeless people have cars].

2.5 stars rounded down, basically.  Everything you have come to expect from the Target of hotel chains, although when I leave Target, I'm usually more satisfied with my experience.

The rooms were clean, the amenities decent, but I'm sorry that's what's expected when I pay someone to let me stay at their establishment.  The service wasn't bad, but it also wasn't ever felt, which I can't say I can say the same for other Marriotts.  Plus this place isn't even cheap.  If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay during a wine country trip, there are MUCH better options.  Hit up Indian Springs or even the Marriott or Embassy Suites in Napa - much better service, same basic rates.

Quiet and comfortable. Clean. Sink is not in the bathroom. Could use a makeover. Staff was very friendly.

I think when you stay in a Marriott you expect a certain level of quality, even if you are at the Courtyard.  This place was very disappointing.  We stayed a full week there.  First the hot tub was broken 4 days of the 5 we were there, then is was fixed about an hour before we left.  They kept giving us excuses each day that it would be fixed the following day.  3 nights of the 4 we were awoken either by loud people parting on our floor, loud people parting in the larking lot or some crazy guy living down by the creek.  All three times, the night attendant was less then helpful and rather rude at times.

I am an Elite Marriott Rewards member and this place was substandard in all areas.
