It's a hotel, a decent one at that.  In this 3-4 star range of hotels, there aren't many differences, but here are a few observations:

LOCATION:  Pretty solid, within a walk to the Plaza, or a long walk to Westport.

AMENITIES:  They had a nice workout room with all brand new equipment, and a pool that I did not use.  They have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up anywhere in the Plaza.

RESTAURANTS:  They had a few, we didn't go.

ROOM:  Pretty spacious.  I couldn't get the window open, which was no good as the air was a little stale.  Bed was WAY TOO SOFT.  Nice 42" flat screen with many HD channels.  Maybe it was just us, but we thought the tile in the bathroom and entryway of the room was slick.  Wireless internet was available, $9.95/day.

PARKING:  Valet is available, but we didn't do that.  SUN-THURS is $12.95/day, and FRI-SAT is $7.95/day.

STAFF:  Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful.  We didn't' really talk to anyone after we checked in, but the various interactions I saw other guests having seemed to be pleasant.

VERY helpful front-desk staff, both on a phone call prior to our visit & once we were there (helping with bus schedules, getting late check-out, etc).  Um, and especially at 2:30 in the morning when we harassed them for at least an hour trying to convince them to come visit us in SF someday.  Oh my god.  Poor concierges!  They were trapped - being at work and all, they couldn't exactly leave.  Instead, they pleasantly chatted with us while we waited for food delivery (the # for which, was given to us by these lovely staff members), while we (husband, myself & a few wedding party people we'd met that night) made asses of ourselves.

The hotel itself is conveniently located near the new downtown area (which is basically a big mall, but which has some fun bars).  It's cheaper than other Marriotts in big cities ($130/night on a holiday weekend) and with all the standard Marriott features.  Nothing mind-blowing about the rooms, though I do recommend requesting a top floor, as the view is spectacular.

Thanks guys, for a lovely stay, & for putting up with drunken silliness.  You should seriously come visit in SF.  Though I can't promise that won't just involve yet another round of drunken silliness!

I had an overnight stay on a Saturday for a wedding party.  Check in and check out went smoothly.  The staff was polite and helpful.  Room service was a bit pricey, but the portions were good (and we got more than our money's worth for the buffalo wings!)  Overall, the staff made efforts to be polite and courteous, which is a plus.

The outside, the lobby, the elevators and the rooms were clean and in good condition.  Since we were staying for a wedding, our rate for a deluxe suite was reasonable ($129 + extras.)

It is located on a main street and is within walking distance of the Plaza.  Overall, I had a good stay.  If I were in KC, MO again, I would shop around for lodging with a lower room rate, though.  for the rate we paid, we got our money's worth.

Great guest rooms, excellent location (close to all the shopping and nightlife of "The Plaza.")

Very courteous staff - especially the courtesy shuttle drivers!

Awesome breakfast buffet!
