Since 1980, the Market Street Grill has been rated as Utah's most popular seafood concept, providing exceptional service and award-winning menu selections. Bustling wait staff and exhibition kitchens contribute to a sparkling, high-energy atmosphere where the best seafood between Seattle and Boston is served in an expansive variety of contemporary dishes.

Great food & service.
Definitely one of my most favorite for ambiance & good service.. the Trout Benedict is a super deal Monday- Saturday for breakfast (but not Sunday mornings...different more limited brunch menu...) fresh squeezed OJ .
The Saturday afternoon menu is excellent and not very busy, so... one of the best times, besides The $15 trout Benedict for breakfast. The dinner plank salmon is also excellent. You may get better service in the regular section as the Club side might actually be slower....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dave D.Orange, CA190251Apr 20, 2024
Used to be our favorite place. It was definitely the place (for years) that we brought our friends and family when in town.
So, we went there for our anniversary last weekend (4/13) for dinner. The clam chowder was on point, as always, but literally EVERYTHING else was WAY below what I've come to expect from Market Street over the years.
I ordered the Prime Rib, and my wife ordered Halibut. It was honestly, the WORST of either that I have ever had. Honestly. And the vegetables were soggy and tasteless. I saw the finished vegetables sitting under warming lights for 20 minutes while (I assume) they were working on the protein selections.
It used to be the best. Now it tastes like they're just opening packets from Sysco or something, and just heating them up. Can't imagine what would make me go back.
Maybe clam chowder takeout.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wesley M.Salt Lake City, UT0243Feb 17, 2024
I've been dinning and entertaining at M.S.G. For 20+ years. The ambiance at all three locations is amazing. The service staff well trained and consistent. The menu is diverse and makes one hungry reading it. The kitchen? Well, there's the rub. Every kitchen has a bible. Either they stopped using it, or it has been thrown away.
Take the broiled tomato as one tiny example and then magnify it across the entire menu. They were once prepared with skill and care. Halved using a serrated technique, seasoned, powdered with Parmesan and broiled. Now? They cute the top off, sprinkle some Parmesan on top, and throw it in the broiler. Blah. Market street potatoes: one of my favorite. 25% of what they used to be. Eggs Benedict...cooked properly but bland presentation, not sprinkled with paprika as in the past. Shall I continue? Pick an item I ordered and its quality of preparation or presentation has been sorely eroded over time. This saddens me as many breakfast, lunch, and dinners at M.S.G. with family now passed away were such fond memories.
It's hard to build a great restaurant. It's harder to maintain the standard over time. M.S.G. excelled at the former, but is failing the latter.
In the end, it's worth a try and you'll likely be happy. If you're a long time patron, you will be disappointed.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Totally average. Not sure why there's hype here. The bread looks great but feel inside like the dough was dropped into a pool and then quickly grabbed--it's wet.
The clam chowder is decent. I'm not sure about these prices because you're not paying for quality. Hearty portion.
Also got the salad with shrimp and the shrimp tastes like anything from a grocery store. The salad was so simple I could make it. Totally underwhelming.
Gus is a great server though. He was methodical and got everything right. Good guy. He was attentive to our waters. Nice indoor long table just to ourselves and our big party. Thank you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 20241 check-in
Great mid-week breakfast! Issac our server was awesome and helpful!
Best deal in town is the complete breakfast -
We got the hamburger Pattie 2 eggs and best broiled tomato in town! Come with toast & OH too!
Also got the daily omelette special - veggie omelette with my fav Hollandaise sauce
A perfect start to a beautiful day!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 7376751435Dec 4, 2023
Just meh with a tad of eek. We came in here for a birthday brunch and I was kind of disappointed. I think they have lost a lot of love for this place.
For example, the walls were covered in brown sticky food splotches with a ton of unpatched holes in the walls. Small details that matter especially if you're sitting next to the wall and your hair gets STUCK in the yuck
The food was just ok. Scrambled eggs were overcooked. Bacon was good. Broiled tomato was ok. The plates come out hot which is nice but it's unclear if that's bc they've been sitting under a heating lamp or to keep the food warm.
Service was just ok. We had to ask to get waters for the table 3-4 times. We had reservations so they knew a larger group was going to come in so kind of weird.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Oct 6, 2023
Market Street has always been a family favorite for us! It's probably one of the few places in Utah that offers a myriad of seafood. Being a landlocked state, this isn't very common!
Their salads, fish entrees, clam chowder, desserts, and more are all delicious! I do believe their dishes are a little overpriced for the quality.
Service is excellent and so is the ambiance. It's a clean restaurant with a "nautical" buildout of sturdy wood tables and more. We love it!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marc P.Salt Lake City, UT0125Apr 6, 2024
Great place to go. I feel best for business meetings. Seafood understandably is market price but this place is always very expensive so keep that in mind.

Overpriced for the flavors offered. Clam chowder lacked seasoning. Crab stuffed shrimp had some weird sauce on top that tasted almost rancid. The sauce overpowered the crab and shrimp. Might as well just served a dish of the sauce.
Raw oysters were delicious.
The steak temperature was perfect, but where was the seasoning! Boiled potatoes were just that. Nothing special.
Drinks were good. Staff was good. Atmosphere was good.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jon L.Salt Lake City, UT2726Dec 16, 2023
The food was mediocre and cold by the time it arrived.
We did have a large group at two separate tables.
One tables service was decent service and accuracy.
Beware of Isaac: made many mistakes, forgot items....
I don't usually write reviews because people have good and bad days.
I just want to reiterate:
