New on Davis this fall is the long awaited Marissa's Tamales y Mas.
It doesn't look like much from the street, the ambiance isn't memorable either. But what counts here is the food. The tamales are some of the best I've had. Their salsa and mole are also very good. Be patient if you go there and order anything besides tamales. Everything is made by hand to order so dishes can take awhile. Prices are reasonable. Next time your heading down Davis to your favorite watering hole - Bolsa or Eno's perhaps - drop in for some tamales. You wont be disappointed,

The absolute best Tamales! Handmade flour and corn tortillas every day and a large variety of Aguas Frescas--Limon, Mango, Sandia, Guanabana, Lulo. Flautas, Enchiladas, Guisos especiales--Mole Poblano (best in the business) Chileajo, etc. ---This IS the very best of Mexico in the heart of Oak Cliff.
