This "pumpkin patch" is absolutely awesome! Our preschool went on a field trip there and it was just the perfect mix. Petting zoo, animals (the goat walk is very cool), hayride, corn maze (they have several - one for everyone from 2 yr olds to teenagers). The cow train is the cutest thing I've ever seen and none of the kids wanted to get out of the corn room!
We will definitely go back next year!
I've actually been to this farm twice now and both times were not that fun. The only reason this place got 3 stars rather than 2 is because of the haunted woods. The haunted woods were awesome. The rest of the farm is overpriced and doesn't really feel like a farm, more like just a business. We spent $90 bucks and didn't even leave with a pumpkin or corn stalks. Another really disappointing thing was that they didn't have real cider. One of my fiance's favorite things about pumpkin farms is getting fresh cider; Maris only offered the powder stuff.
Oh my gosh this place is so cool. We loved the corn room the most, it was like 2 ft of just corn for the kids to swim in and jump in, so cool. There is so much to do here and in SUCH a beautiful area.
This is a farm that has transformed into a survivable-form, as farms- do not survive. Farms are turned into housing developments. I have been for many local events, I grew up in the area. They bring so much to the community and should really be applauded for their efforts. They always have something in the Pumpkin season, this summer they have brought the "renaissance faire"...check it out!! Plan for traffic as you will be traveling on small two lane highways- but not for too long...
