If you are craving for something cheap and average sushi (taste and place wise), this is a good place.
I've been here twice and the only drawback is the waiting line. You have to wait from 15 mins to 30 mins.
We were also seated next to the cooks. I've seen everything how it's prepared. Yes, they follow sanitary measures with gloves etc. The only thing I was kind a disappointed is they use frozen sushi for the "deep fried sushi". Or it needs to be frozen so that it's crunchier after it's deep fried? Not sure...
Everything is pretty good but I'm wishing they have more variety. After few minutes, you'll see the same item all over again. I know... it's conveyor so that's the purpose but you know what I mean.
Did I mention we were seated near the preparation/fryer area? After we left the restaurant, I just smelled oil etc on my clothes and jacket! I wrote somewhere that it's my pet peeve when a restaurant doesn't have enough vent to suck those smoke etc. It didn't affect my review on this one though... if the whole restaurant smells, that's a different story.
Why do I keep torturing myself to try this place. I'm waiting in line at my primary care doctor's office to explain to him why I have the salmon tapeworm parasite in my system and why I'm Vitamin B12 deficient causing numbness from eating food at this crapola they call a sushi restaurant.
http://en.wikipedia.or...
Yeah, I'm being harsh but maybe i'm psychotic from my B12 deficiency. Now, where's my anti-parasite medication?!??!
This place is recession proof! So inexpensive, it has you checking the prices over and over again. You grab a dish (conveyor belt style) and you look at the color and realize that you're holding a dollar fifty worth of food in your hand. It's almost cheaper to eat here than it is to eat at home. To top it off, green tea is free!
For such amazingly low prices, you obviously are not getting choice cut of tuna and no (that I've seen) hamachi in sight. But the calamari is delicious (yes, I do enjoy it greasy and chewy) and there's hot sauce going past you every so often.
No wonder it's usually really crowded! Arrive early and put your name on the list.
My first experience ever with kaiten-sushi, the conveyer belt sushi.
Its being worked by all young people, who dont really pay too much attention. My friend and I were seated, and started to choose from the choices available. We went during the lull, so there wasnt a whole lot and it seemed to only be about.. 6 different items to choose from.
I chouldnt believe that their House Special roll was only $1! Crazy! And California rolls are only 1.50! I got two :] We ordered their udon, but IMO, it wasnt really worth it. $3 for a smaalll bowl of udon, when you can get a huge udon for probably 6-7 elsewhere.
Sushi prices were great. Its hard to get the attention of the servers because we never knew where they were or when theyd come back around. We placed an order for calamari (eh, ok. wouldnt get it again) and for the octopus dumplings (not for me). We capped off the meal with green tea and mango ice cream. 1.50 for a cute portion of ready-to-go ice cream :] perfect serving size.
All in all, worth the money. My friend and I ate our fill for about $11 each. Would I go again? Yes; its cheap and fast.
BUUTTT... the ambience was seriously lacking. It seemed so quiet and big in there. The tabletops were small and crowded. The waiter who seated us sat another two people rice next to us.
I used to like them. The last time we ate there, they would not make the Agedashi tofu we ordered. We ordered it 4 times and then after 40 minutes were told the cook moved on to other items and forgot and hopefully would make it later if he wasn't busy SCREW THAT!!!.
Also the green tea smelled like urine or mildew like the pot was never washed out ans is mildewing like an old bath towel. HURL.
It looks as if they have NO MANAGEMENT at all.
I love this place. Thank you to my friend Marco del Fierro for turning me and Mike Puspos RN on to this sushi in motion palace. Marco is aspiring to make it in the real estate industry, but his dreams came crashing down like a 747...oops, he works for Boeing now.
Me and mike were visiting marco in Kent during the Spring. Beautiful, weather with the occasional overcast, Marco lead our stealthy Toyota Prius through a parking lot that looked like a Wal-Mart. Unbeknown to us, we see a line forming for business lunchers. What's this we are waiting for, sushi on conveyor belts? Aww, what an interesting concept!
I of course ruined it with my mid day drinking, but sushi needs to go with sake and Japanese beer. And, you know mi chung's go for the waitresses [thats for you Marco].
So cheers to this dim son want-a- be place of cheap moving sushi. Pace yourself, and make sure you get every color plate!
If I were to choose one Seattle Area Sushiland as the best, this would be it. It's still conveyor belt sushi and cheap. It's still the Sushiland experience of cheap conveyor belt sushi, but I'm pretty sure they won't give me food poisoning and once I got to watch one of their cooks make the egg for the tamago. Another time I got to watch them fillet the massive fish right in front of me. It was awesome.
They are also fast on the service and refill your drinks without a lot of fuss. For fast, cheap and filling sushi south of the city, this is definitely worth a stop.
really? this place only got 3 stars?? that hurts my heart...me, being the picky food eater, who dsnt eat big portions, and has an income of a student who lives alone..is the perfect place for lunch & dinner! now located in socal, this place will forever remind me of those rainy gloomy nights when i would come to an empty condo with no food to be found.....sounds depressing i know, but lucky me, sushi land would come to the rescue and lift my spirits! what more can you ask for when your seated in front of a conveyor belt that displays $1-4 priced plates of sushi that you can pick from, yum-E! i usually get stuffed with only 6 dollars worth of sushi! the seared salmon tickles my pickle like no other! this place never lets me down :)
Round and round the conveyor belt goes, how long has your salmon been sitting outside? Nobody knows....
I've been to conveyor belt sushi joints, including the Tukwila Marinepolice, about a few dozen times. The prices no longer justify the poor quality and poor handling of the seafood.
* THE FOOD:
- Too often I have witnessed cooks leaving unprepared seafood sitting on the cutting boards, at room temperature, during my whole 30-60 minute visit. That is disgusting.
- The rolls are scrawny!
- I'm not a seafood buff or snob, but the quality is dramatically noticeable and inferior to higher class sushi joints.
* MARINEPOLICE VS BLUE C:
- The sushi quality at all Seattle conveyor belt joints is about the same.
- Marinepolice is a bit cheaper than Blue C.
- Marinepolice really does look Blue C's ugly sister. Blue C's setting is much fancier, however both do suffer from the same food problems noted above.
* THE OTHER (TASTIER) OPTION:
- $2-$3 for a few scrawny rolls?
- If you want decent sushi at a decent price, Maneki in the International District has good sushi at $4 and up.
* PRICE:
- The price per person has been $15-$20 in my experience.
- Higher class sushi restaurants are about $20-$30 per person, on my visits, and that extra $ is worth it.
Next time someone says Sushi Land has OK sushi for cheap... slap them and go to several higher quality sushi restaurants so they can see that all those scrawny-conveyor-belt-rolls are nowhere close to a REAL sushi experience. The price difference isn't enormous, and the poorly handled low quality seafood isn't worth it.
This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving sushi and need a fix. Usually it is pretty fair, I mean really, it's conveyor belt sushi so you can only expect quality of a certain caliber. Last night is was a little less than fair, but I'm still giving it 3 stars because I'm not giving up on it, although next time I might try Blue C sushi at the mall.
I went last night (Friday) and it was packed, the conveyor belt was full, and most everything was decent. A few things kept coming around and around so you want to be sure you watch things when you first sit down to make sure you get something fresh--or just order it from the chefs.
The copper river salmon was on special plates, a little more expensive, but definitely worth it--tasted very fresh and buttery. There was something else on one of the special plates that I wasn't sure what it was, but I tried it anyway and was disappointed since it was seared and almost dried out. There was tako maki spinning around and figured I'd try one even though it wasn't exactly fresh and hot and was actually surprised that it was a-ok. At least I didn't burn my mouth on the searing hot balls--oohh, did I say that? Anyway, I liked it enough to have another serving when it came around again.
Nothing really stood out for me, which is usually what I expect from this place. It just hits the spot when I've got the sushi jones. But the sesame balls actually were pretty darn tasty, especially since they usually end up really oily at other places. Again with the balls? Damn, I must be deprived...
Anyway, if you're looking for really GOOD sushi, go somewhere else i.e. Village sushi in the U District. But if you're looking to fill up, come here. $28 isn't too bad for one person considering how much I ate. Yes, I am a pig.
This is probably the biggest (and busiest) Sushi Land location. It is located near the mall and everyone and their mom seems to know about it. Try to go when it's not peak eating time (aka 12-1pm etc).
My favorite part about this place is their decision to not squeeze mayo or sprinkle raw onion on everything. This means crab stick - no mayo drizzle. This means salmon nigiri style - no mayo drizzle + no onion slices! For some reason, the Queen Anne Sushi Land *loves* throwing that swirl of mayo and sprinkling onion w/ a swirl of mayo on most their items. I am starting to see that the Lynnwood Sushi Land does the same.
Oh well, I am sure they know their customer demographics better than me. As long as they keep making fine, delicious tasting sushi, I am good to go! HIP HIP HOORAY FOR SUSHILAND!
My friend had called me up one day and said she wanted to go have sushi and she insisted on going to sushi land. I had never been there so I thought, why not. I might like the place.
We went on a Monday around 4ish or so and it wasn't too crowded. We were seated right away and dug in. The sake ones are AMAZING and I could live off those. California rolls are decent too. What I didn't like was that they didn't have much variety. They had maybe, 4 or 5 different rolls going around and on their menu they had I'd say at least 20. What also made me subtract a star was our waitress didn't check up on us at all. I also noticed that someone had requested sushi for take out and I watched them and it took FOREVER for the customer to get their food. Glad I wasn't that person.
But for the price, it definitely isn't bad. I've had better but of course I paid more so I'd say this place is good if you're on a budget and want your sushi fix. :)
Three stars, barely.
Elena has some very accurate things to say about Sushi land, but first, look at point #1
A decent selection of decent quality sushi at excellent prices.
Yes, it is a decent selection of decent quality; but I don't want decent quality sushi, capeesh? I won't go back here again because for $15, I expect better than just 'ok' stuff.
The other qualm I have about this place is the service. Because they hire (at least the day I was there) very young people, you get a level of 'I don't care-ness' about the service you receive.
If I worked in the area, I might go every once in a while, but since I don't work in the area, see ya, sushi land-our relationship was short, but I'm sure you'll meet other people; really.
I liked it. It wasn't gourmet Sushi, but I don't think that's what one should expect when food is made on an assembly line and delivered on a conveyor belt--that's like hoping for a Lamborghini when you go to a Ford dealership.
The textures weren't as good as Blue C, but I thought the selection was better. Service was prompt (you can ask the guys cutting fish to help you, and they won't be pretentious and act like that's someone else's job). And prices were good. The California roll was delicious, and their misu soup is good too.
I love the salmon nigiri here. It somehow tastes a lot different from Miyabi down the street (they get their fish from the exact same place). And for $1.50, it's well worth the price. I really like the udon, sometimes I think it's not as hot as it could be, but I'm not complaining too much for 3 bucks.
I love the asparagus rolls, but sometimes they are a little watery. The zuri is great. Oh and the uni too. Try a salmon with ikura handroll. Delicious! I wish they had a larger variety of desserts, but whatever.
With the downside, the restaurant is a little dirty. Wait, let me rephrase that, the restaurant is disgustingly dirty. I don't even know why I still eat here. I always see bugs flying around. The chairs are old and dirty. The bathroom always smells like someone had just taken a huge dump and didn't flush.
This place isn't for big groups or even for kids just because I hate big obnoxious groups and I despise kids. So if you're gonna come here, well, just don't. Go to Red Robin, they're a family oriented restaurant. And more about the clientele, if you go during the wrong hours, you're gonna see a lot of little ghetto teenagers. So if you want a nice quiet fast lunch, go during the week before 5PM. And to skip the business rush, come after 2PM. And just don't come at all during the weekends, unless you come right when they open at 11AM.
Service could be better, but I'm not gonna expect much from a conveyor belt sushi place. If I want good service, I'll go to Miyabi. If I want fast cheap sushi, I'll come here.
This place to me has always been a solid 3 star of course I have been to places better, but their food is relatively cheap with a huge selection of sushi. One thing I love most about this place is every now and then you will hear one of the sushi chef's or cashier person yell out something which I like to believe is Japanese, I've always wondered in my head "Is that really soemthing he is saying or is he just jabbering away?!" HAHAHA
Quality= can't really complain, you get what you paid for
selection= huge selection going around on a conveyor belt
price= $
seating= there is usually a wait if you came in at their peak lunch hour
Almost forgot to mention, today there was this little brat sitting next to us using his chopsticks touching every plate! Uhh......ewww?! I was going to say something but I thought it might have been rude and was hoping one of the staff members there might have said something.
I am still giving this 3 stars but I wanted to write another review as my views have changed since I last ate at SushiLand.
The selection is still far superior to Blue C and with my most recent visit to Blue C so is the quality of the fish. HOWEVER, I recommend that if you are going to order any of the raw items that you order them directly from the workers. They make them fresh so you are almost guaranteed a nice cold piece of fish that hasn't been sitting on the belt for too long.
The cost is what gets me everytime...the place is just so affordable that I can't really complain when things don't taste good. For example, I grabbed what I thought was a shrimp salad but it was a corn salad gunkan style sushi. It wasn't that great but it was only a dollar...so for a buck who cares. The appearance still isn't that great...but again...for the price I really can't complain too much. For a dollar I should expect masterfully plated sushi? No.
This is my new place to go for quick cheap sushi. Just make sure you go at the right time and in smaller groups to ensure that you aren't waiting for long periods of time.

Sushi on a conveyer belt! Who came up with that? This is heavon on earth..... Nirvana
Ok, so who likes sushi...well the question is who doesn't like it!
You walk in and you are seated next to a conveyer belt. You see little plates of three colors; blue, green, orange and purple. Little plastic trays adorn the top of each plate. The little plates are placed on the rolling conveyer belt around the restaurant. You pick what sushi treat you like and eat until your fishly little heart is content.
Green Plate: $1.00
Typically on this plate you'll find more of your basic sushi delights. California rolls, veggie rolls etc. Most have 2-4 pieces of fairly sized sushi. That's like .50 cents a piece! My favorite green plate sushi is a yellow egg wrap filled with tuna and cucumber! YUMMO
Orange Plate: $1.50
On most orange plates you got the 2-3 pieces of a good sized sushi roll, the 4 roll pieces are a delight to see on the belt. My favorite orange plate treat is the spicy salmon with tobiko. They also have a yummy elcair desert on the orange plate special if your lucky
Blue Plate: $2.00
Most of my favorites are on the blue plates. Tempura sushi rolls, Panko slathered rolls (japaneese bread crumbs galore), eel nigiri and my favorite! baked muscles topped with a yummy sauce!
Purple: $3.00
Although the menu advertises these plates as 'Purple' they are floral decorated. They consist mainly of the straight up sashimi ( 3-5 slices depending on what cut of fish), the bigger more complex rolls (dragons, rainbows, phillies etc). They mostly have the bigger pieces of sushi as well. I can't help but grab a few of these elegant delights a couple of times!
Overall, this is the place kids. I know they have a few locations throughout the Seattle Area. When I tell my husband I want 'conveyer belt sushi' he knows what's about to go down! And that's sushi on a conveyer belt!
Ok, so past the novelty. The service is not so hot.
I too experienced the waiting when there was empty seats available. My theory is that:
1. They are cleaning and prepping the area
2. They want to create a 'night club' concept, you know the kind. This place is so hot you have to wait to be seated! Tell your friends!
And, the servers are young and have no concept of customer service. We were seated, then given drinks, and then never seen again. We had to hunt someone down for refills.
P.S: I hoard spicy sauce, because i want some on every bite of sushi!
This place cheap and it shows. Aside from the fried calamari, nothing was particularly good. The place wouldn't servive in downtown Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or any other place worth mentioning. I didn't feel good after eating here - like nauseous or something.
This place is conveyor belt sushi, not expert chef sushi. You walk in, sit down, eat, pay, and leave. Easy, quick, good. There are places in town for better sushi - for more money - and you can get grocery store sushi (worse) for less. This place fits the quick work lunch market fine. There is often a line at lunch so get there early.
Fast Food sushi.
Minus the wait for a table..
Sushi lands conveyor belt sushi is a great concept. This is no hassle eating and a great experience for a new sushi eater.
The quality of Sushi here is mediocre at best, but it's a great place to get quick sushi.
If you are into calamari, request they fry you up a few. It's mighty tasty hot out of the fryer.
Even though the chefs might get annoyed at you, order as much fresh things from them as possible. Sometimes the food on the belts have been sitting there for a long time and when you bite down on something old...you can tell.
My personal favorite dishes are creamy scallops, seared salmon, the calamari and
Restaurant is clean and service is pretty good once you are seated.
For those who always wanted to try sushi and have been to shy to try this is a decent place to start. No one is watching you unless you eat 30 plates of sushi.
Ok, ok...it's not THAT bad. It's quick, cheap and close by work. So why complain? When I'm craving sushi and don't want to spend a lot on lunch, I'd go here.
Service seem to have picked up. I get my check, water and green tea faster. And I can be in and out in 20 mins and still have time to hit the mall....or make my little way over to Red Mango for some dessert =)

Why do I keep going to this place??! Maybe because my co-workers and I run out of places to eat… Read more »
I'm not sure what's going on here, but the last time I ate here, the wait was long and they had 20 open seats. It was dirty and there was little food on the belt to eat. We ordered several items and we never got them. We had to ask three time to get our order. It was near closing time and one of the employees was talk to the other staff members, not making any food and eating sushi items by squatting down and eating them like he was looking for something he'd dropped, we could see him! It was probably the order I had been waiting for! I got to see their closing habits! YIKES! I'll pay more and eat sushi elsewhere from now on.
Cool things about this place:
1) A decent selection of decent quality sushi at excellent prices
2) The bottles of hot sauce that you can borrow from as they go conveyor -belting past you. (But, please, don't hoard the bottles; that's rude.)
3) The green tea
4) The HUGE serving of calamari you can get for $1.50!
5) The sushi chefs who converse in Spanish and call you "amiga"
6) Those little ball things that are filled with taro and rolled in sesame seeds. (I don't know what they are called, but boy are they yum.)
7) Easy parking
8) My husband, who would eat sushi every day if he could, is always so happy to go here
9) It's NOT the Belleuve location (which is crowded and dirty and the last time we went -- the LAST time we went -- I was so grossed out I could not even eat anything)
All they need to do is start serving red wine (it doesn't have to be fancy stuff) and my list will be an even 10!
Hahahaa!! My first review....
When I stepped through the door the first thing that came to mind was fa-st fo-od Japanese?! I lingered around for service with the other 4 or 5 groups and noticed that one must sign in for a table and wait to be called. We waited about 7 minutes before being seated. The quality isn't great by any means, but it was exciting to grab what looks appealing off the conveyor belt. There's a good amount of choices to select from, yet after a while it gets boring, and once you're full everything starts tasting similar. At the end of the meal I left with a full stomach and extra mullah in the wallet. Will I eat here again? Who knows...if I'm pressed for time, yeah...
I am addicted to this place!
I love their sushi and it's really reasonably priced. Plus the sushi chefs are really nice and are always willing to make you something special
Only bad thing is the 20+ minute WAIT at this place every timne I go. This tempts me to make this a one star rating (then less people might go and I'd have less time waiting!).
I've been to the sushi land up in Seattle at Queen Anne and it was pretty mediocre. I'd go there when I couldn't afford the good sushi, it was basically the last resort for me.
My sushi buddy suggested this place (we work in seatac), so I agreed to go. I didn't have high expectations but I still went. We got there and were seated quickly, considering it was lunchtime. I was actually impressed by the quality of the sushi, better then Blue C sushi. Service was alright, took them awhile when I would order special rolls directly, but I was happy with the food and will be going back soon!
I love Sushliand! For sushi that is cheaper than most places, it is definitely good. I recommend the calimari, seared salmon, and asparagus rolls!
The sushi here is okay, I've had a lot better, but for the cost its not bad. I mean I can eat and be full with spending less than $10, so it's a good deal. But I feel like if I'm giong to venture out and eat sushi than I should at least go to a place I enjoy, because what is the point of going somewhere that is only sub par? It's kind of dirty too, but its kind of expected I mean the workers have to work kind of fast to seat people. Oh well for a quick, cheap, and medicore meal this is the place to be.
Order things from the workers or chefs if you want fresh stuff, the stuff on the belt has usually been going around for awhile.
The only alcohol they have is sake, and domestic beers (bud light, budweiser), and japanese beers (kirin, sapporo).
Decent quality for the price, nice budget friendly sushi meal. I like that I can get a small bowl of udon for about $2 to compliment my spicy tuna roll, spider roll and philadelphia roll. The usually have ample salmon on the belt but the hamachi is usually missing. Ask for it. They will make you pretty much anything. I was here a few nights ago and I had much to much, but it only cost me $20,. about $5 more than my average visit to this place. Service is improving, getting speedier.
It's hit or miss at this place. Honestly I only keep going because my coworkers adore it. For the price, I would say yes this is a decent lunch. I do love their spicy sauce that they put on the spicy tuna rolls, (I know it's packed full of mayonnaise I'm sure, but oh well). We always get seated right away in a booth; it sometimes takes a while to get refills and get the check.
If I was craving sushi, I wouldn't choose this place. It's merely a social experience for me and a cheap one at that.
Sushiland's newest location is in Tukwila near the Southcenter Mall and in the Acme Bowl complex. Sushiland is a conveyor belt place - however, they are always willing to make something on the menu that isn't going around the belt.
I've found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is surprisingly clean - very important when consuming raw fish!
The menu is pretty expansive - it has most of your "normal" sushi rolls and nigiri, and some others that are more obscure. If you are looking for hundreds of different rolls, this probably isn't your place. That being said - what they do have on the menu is fresh and delicious!
In short - I love this sushi joint. I know that it already is uber-popular, but I hope that I'll still be able to get a seat!
Marinepolis Sushi Land - a New Sushi Joint in Tukwila??, This is actually the 5th & newest location in WA of the Marinepolis Family. Located Next door to Acme Bowl & Just across from South Center Mall.
Sushi-go-round I call it, also know as kaiten-zushi. Today was actually my first try with Marinepolis Sushi Land. My First Impressions of the Venue were really nice. The inside was still bare/empty.. not to heavily decorated probably since it just opened. Plenty of seats to go around. The Prices are really Affordable & the Overall Quality was good. I had a very welcomed feeling, The Employees were very attentive & Polite. The Sushi chefs offered special requests. Most people refer these places as Yesterday Sushi Leftovers....Marinepolis Sushi Land in Tukwila did not Disappoint.
This is a great place to check out if your looking to try Some Yummy Raw Goodness, without heavily emptying your wallet so you can go Bowling nextdoor & Mall Shopping After-wards. Location..Location... Location..wins it for me, especially since its so close to home =D
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sushiland. I go to the Bellevue one all the time, as it is affordable and delicious. I was incredibly excited to find out there was one going in a block away from where I work, and even more encouraged to see the head sushi chef from Bellevue working behind the counter. My excitement waned as I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get the attention of the waitress to order a drink, only to find out they don't serve beer yet, and have no idea when they are going to be able to. It's really lucky that their items don't really change that often, because the other chefs seem to be quite horrible. Who knew mexicans would be so bad at making sushi? As far as Sushiland locations go, skip this one and make the drive to Bellevue. Or at least wait until they can serve booze. Maybe then the service and the quality would be a bit more tolerable.
And why close at 9 on a Friday? Buh?
We go here every Sunday between 11 to noon. This place can be packed if you show up around 1pm. Food are fresh, alot of selection, quality sushi at excellent prices. We love their deep fried squid "calamari", tofu soup, california roll, save room for their red been ice cream. Service is great and plenty of parking.
Dude! A Sushiland in the south end! I don't have to drive to Bellevue anymore!
In truth, I find Sushiland to be just "okay" in the local world of sushi, but good for the price. And this location is quite large, which should alleviate some of the crowding issues. It seemed hugely popular tonight (a Wednesday) and we waited about 10 minutes, but it wasn't bad.
The variety on the belt was really limited compared to what I'm used to from them. Cali rolls, unagi, krab sticks, salmon, shrimp, tamago, cucumber rolls... anything else (maguro, calamari, seared salmon) had to be asked for. I didn't see any edamame, which surprised me. They were busy, so refills on water were slow, and I never did get my hot tea. However, I still left full and satisfied, so I'm not complaining too much.
If you want /good/ kaiten, go to Sushi Yama or iSushi or (I hear) Blue C. If you want real sushi service, go to Mizu or Toyoda's or Rikki Rikki. If you want decent fish for a good price, Sushiland is your place.
I have to say my visit here was not worth the 25 minute wait, and if I have to wait again that long the next time I'm here, I think I'll just walk right out and head to Miyabi's.
The only thing I think that will keep me coming back? Their miso udon soup with 1 tempura shrimp...which isn't on the little fold out menu, conveyor belt, or on their special board...you have to ask!
This time, allow me to say the bad news first. The bad news is: The waits during busy times can be long, but what do you expect? Waiting lines means it's busy, which means it is therefore popular, which means business is good. Sometimes waiting at a popular restaurant can be frustrating, but it's natural ok! Jeez!---Gosh!---Uggh. Service can be rather lackluster with the young asian fems. Perhaps you can bare with them? o.O
Good news: Yummy sushi at a pretty good price seems worth the visit to me. It's all good stuff and the experience isn't too bad at all. The atmosphere feels nice and casual/relaxed, too, albeit some ambient chat noise. Decor would sure be nice, though.
I've been going to this location for over a year now, and it was fine then, but it's a dump now. Today I went and there was hair in my sushi. Lost my appetite right there. Sadly, they didn't even offer to give me the 4 plates I had eaten for free. I still had to pay. Also, since I've eaten there this afternoon, I've had nothing but an upset stomach all afternoon/evening. I did see several pieces of sushi sitting out on the cutting boards for quite a long time, so I'm thinking I have a mild case of food poisoning. All that aside, the sushi looked positively awful on the belt. It honestly looked like my 6 year old nephew had made it. Small pieces, uneven pieces, sloppy sauce application, I have never seen such ugly looking sushi. Oh, I also watched a busboy wipe the counter down next to me and let's just say he didn't take any care in doing it. He didn't staighten up the area and left the lids he had knocked off the ginger and wasabi pots on the counter.
It's quite obvious that the staff here hate their jobs because the customer service is awful and the product is inedible. I guess when you pay for peanuts, you get monkeys.
This is the cheapest kaiten sushi I've ever eaten at and for the price, the most delicious!
