I just got married on September 18th and Laura did my flowers. They were so incredibly beautiful. I had found a picture of a bouquet that I loved, a very dark style-bouquet and Laura outdid herself on her version. I received as many compliments on my bouquet as I did my dress.
The flowers for the bridesmaids and groomsmen were spot on. Everyone loved their flowers.
The centerpieces really fit the venue and tied in to our overall theme. She even let me use some of her vases and let me return them after the event.
I called her to thank her after the wedding and she helped me figure out how to preserve my flowers.

I use Laura (owner) for every event in life I need.
She is not only an excellent designer but has not failed me yet. Always on time & always impressive.
I have also been to one of her wedding and seen pictures of another & they were both beautiful & original.
The best part about Laura is she listens with an eye to giving you want you want. I have seen her make the Grandma'iest bouquet exactly as the customer wanted then turn around & make an Ikebana simple contemporary clean design.
She is the only florist I have ever met that can make something simple look great. She is a Modern Flower design Master.
She also keeps a pretty eclectic selection of vases for the quick grab. -

First time there _the girls are very funny and friendly. I told them what I wanted how much I had and they made a beautiful bouquet on the spot. Felt like I was in a movie about a flower shop.

Established in 1984
2009 marks the 25th anniversary for Marine View Florist.
Current owner Laura Rex Straight has been creatively growing this small, well loved business since 2004. In July 2008 Marine View Florist moved to a fantastic new location a whopping 8 blocks from it's previous home. The Des Moines community has overwhelmingly responded to the move, and it is truly as if a whole new business was born of it.
Meet the Business Owner: Laura S.
Laura Rex Straight is a native Washingtoninan, born and raised in Enumclaw where she spent her high school years working in the family flower shop.
A certified pastry chef, she spent her early twenties making wedding cakes while expanding her knowledge of the floral industry working in sales for a local wholesale florist.
A combination of excellent timing and good luck brought Laura to Marine View Florist. Dedication, hard work, and creativity are the driving forces that have established this young business firmly in the local community.
