We did not have a good experience here. We were the only customers at the time so you'd think we would received excellent service...but that was not the case.
Right from the start, the waitress was very grumpy. She started off by complaining about her day at work and saying how bad it has been. She also stood super far away from our table which felt awkward and made it hard to communicate.
After ordering our food, we waited FOREVER! And then they came back and said they were out of the salad dressing and 3 pie flavors we had ordered.
When the food finally came out, it was just ok. I paid $14 for a very mediocre salad, the omelete looked like a mess and was missing the ham we had asked for, and they give you the tiniest portion of fries. Nothing was worth the price we paid.
The only redeeming moment of our night was that they gave each of us a slice of pie (Which were delicious) to try to make it better. I always appreciate a business that will correct a bad experience, and that's why I give Marie Calendars 2 stars instead of 1.
I wouldn't recommend coming here but if you do, I hope your experience is better than mine was.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 18, 2018
Lemon meringue pie...went in to get one and a gal that works there handed me one off a shelf in front of the restaurant. I asked how long it had been sitting out at room temperature and she said since yesterday!
Lemon meringue is an egg pie!! It's supposed to be refrigerated!!
This is when I made the cashier get me one that had been refrigerated, I felt better for it but told him that all meringues need to be refrigerated.
This is when the gal spoke up and said refrigerating the pie is optional, not necessary...are you friggin kidding me?!?! SeriouslyHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Moana G.Clearfield, UT556543Jun 22, 2019
: )) To GEORGIA our waitress, you deserve FIVE STARS!!! I quietly observed her very pleasant personality with my family of 6 adults and one child, and was pleased that she appeared to be genuine. But hold on, when my husband wanted a peach pie, that was the ultimate challenge. Georgia rose to the challenge when it seemed there were none - she went back and requested a peach pie be baked. A fresh, piping hot peach pie was delivered to a very happy husband which made all of us very happy. "Georgia? You are WONDERFUL, you are AWESOME!"
NEGATIVE: I ordered the Shrimp and chicken Alfredo, the only items that tasted right were the shrimp and the chicken. The "alfredo sauce" tasted clumpy and had the appeal of what is scraped from a burnt pot. I thought to myself, "This ain't alfredo sauce, it's burnt sauce."
A boisterous laughter coming from kitchen or behind the counter. Boisterous is not professional, it's annoying! Are you decibel-impaired? This boisterous laughter from an employee named, MARIA, caught the upward looks from diners facing the kitchen area including mine, and not in a favorable manner. I walked out of the restaurant very upset by the laughter which reverberated throughout the restaurant. Don't nobody wanna hear that noise when they trying to eat! IRRITZ!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2018
The pie is amazing, that goes without debate! But if you ever wonder why they closed as a restaurant, go visit one of the remaining locations. The service isn't bad per say, I've definitely had worse, but they forgot our appetizer and we only saw our waitress once after our pie arrived when she brought the check. The atmosphere just felt...well sad somehow, and very outdated. I loved Marie Calendars as a special treat as a kid, so it does make me sad to see it this way.

Eat there in Sunday was not impressed. Services was slow but friendly. Menu very limited. And on the expensive side. My wife and i orders a two for thrity dinner with Yank potroast. Side salds as our spitizer and pies for desert.
They did not bring the salad out until the right before the dinner was ready. It took about 20 minutes to get the salad then we had 3 minutes to eat our salad before our dinners showed up. Then we did not see a server untill we had to call on over for refills. Will not be stopping there againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Saha-Kehau P.North Las Vegas, NV3091816Mar 25, 2017
Absolutely horrible food.
The patty in the Frisco burger I ordered was so tiny it looked about the size of a happy meal burger from McDonald's. You're better off going to In n Out or Freddy's up in Ogden for the amount of money you spend here. Then the sauce for the burger, it looks like they just slapped it on the bread, it wasn't smeared all over the bread, just right in the middle and the tomato and lettuce, what a joke!
Then the fries, they're not generous with the food they give you at all. I did say something to my waitress about getting more and she said it's by weight, 4oz.
Now my waitress was a doll, her name was Ariel. Great service from her but the cooks and the company need to step it up. They took pretty long to make our meals and it wasn't even busy.
The manager came when we were almost done eating and asked how everything was, I only mentioned the fries because there's really nothing that she could do. She offered to bring more fries but after eating just the bread from my burger and the fries plus the appetizer it was pointless. Def don't recommend eating here, drive up the street and go to Red Robin's, bottomless fries & huge burgers!
I have pictures to share.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James H.Nashua, NH16546246Jan 4, 2018
Overpriced and overrated. The manager was very friendly and professional. But corporate has set prices way higher than the quality and value of the meal.
Never go there again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Josh T.Salt Lake City, UT062Feb 21, 2018
Went here for breakfast for the first and last time. The service was atrocious. We chose here when Sill's was busy as we didn't have much time. Ended up being here for nearly two hours. Could have waited in line finished our meal and driven to salt lake in the time we wasted at the place.
The food was mediocre at best, more expensive than Sill's and cracker barrel. And shameful portions at that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brandon S.Walnut Creek, CA293Jan 1, 2015
Came on New Years Day with a large party. The restaurant was mostly empty but it took about 10 minutes for them to set up an area for us (which was just 3 tables pushed together, no reason to take so long).
Then we order drinks. Drinks took another 10 minutes to come out. Then we ordered food. Food took close to an hour to arrive.
Not a single dish looked appetizing to be honest. I can't comment on the taste of any but mine though. I ordered a hasher. It was about 60% tater tots. Lacked everything else to a great degree. We also found out from the waitress that the eggs weren't fresh. They came from powder. I also have to comment on the (small amount of) sausage. I love sausage. The sausage in this tasted bland and awful.
All this considered with the fact that I wasn't expecting much to begin with, I wish I could give 0 stars. I'm not one to complain usually but this place blows. The waitress was fine, but everything else sucked.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jack B.Bozeman, MT021520Jun 1, 2019
I decided to stop by and try out one of their banana cream pies. The slice of pie was large and piled high with cream. Overall the slice of pie was good.
