yum! I usually hate mexican food but I love this place!
The russelrita is AWESOME! I get one every single time I come here!
They have a jukebox on the wall, TVs to watch the game on, and lots of seating. The middle floor is where the bar is and where most of the college crowd hangs out at. The downstairs is more quiet and the upstairs is like a normal restaurant.
I love the veggie enchiladas, avocado cheese crisp, and Aztec shrimp.
Great place for dinner or late night to hang out with friends.
The staff is usually awesome and on top of their game. The atmosphere is really chill but on weekends it picks up with loud music and lots of people. -

I am from Texas and I am a Mexican food snob.
This is a great place for drinks, meet friends and get a little rowdy. This is NOT a place to eat.
While you may refill the salsa and chips, you won't be coming back for more food.
Mexican food is supposed to be inexpensive, at Margartia's it is not and Mexican food is supposed to be fresh, at Margarita's it is not.
Sorry Margarita's, I have had a lot of fun here, but it wasn't because of the food. -

A wonderful place to spend a week night, or the night of the full moon! The food is decently priced and the portions are generous. This is the perfect place to start a nice long night of debauchery, or bring the family out for a nice taste of Mexican food.
They have drink specials and 2-for-1 entries for college students on Wednesdays. There are specials for ladies on Thursdays. -

This is place where you go for drinks...lots of drinks. Food is something you order if you bring a date. Most foods are tex mex style food. 'Ritas are all over the new england so chances are you station in new england you will eat / drink / get kicked out there once or twice in your life time. Probably the best quality of waitress in the area as far as service and looks concerned.
If you can't handle college kids drinking and screaming next you, this place isn't for you. -

Not authentic, but decent food. Expensive for what it is. Their spicy margarita was good, at least. Have had a few really bad service experiences there (mistake twice in a row and waiter didn't cut the check either time), so won't be going back.

So good! Wednesday nights are 2 for 1 college nights (show your college ID and you get 2 for 1 meals). The Russelrita is the best frozen drink in the world.

I hate giving places such a low rating, but there has never been a single dish that has impressed me, here. Their food is more of a Tex-Mex style, with heavy red ranchero sauce on almost everything. Not my style. Whether it's authentic or not, is not my concern. I avoid that debate, completely. Everything seems overbaked and just not my style. It's a lively place in the evening. Come on in after a hockey game, for a good time. I'd come here and hoist a few cold ones, but probably avoid the food menu. Nice servers and all, but just doesn't cut it for me in the 'food' category. I think it's really tough because I grew up in Orono and now live just north of the Mexican border. But in all fairness to my own review: I never really liked it here. Although no one's ever going to give a fuck what my review says, because if you're in Orono, you'll probably eat here anyway. I probably could go for a 'rita there right now...

So normally I'd say this place is hot garbage. In fact it's luke warm garbage. The food must've fallen victim to the blasting a/c on the cool night. So let's start with the drinks. The margarita was without taste. It was a happy hour drink, weak on the booze strong on the flavor. It was, plainly, not very good. The chips were standard with canned salsa that was super spicy, not a complaint just a fact. When the meal came is when things went from so so to a waste of time and cash. The chicken quesadilla was of good portion. What it was filled with I couldn't tell by taste alone. It was tasteless. I mixed the chip salsa to get some sort of flavor out of my meal. My wife had the guadalajara steak fajita. As a standard it came with flour tortillas, we forgot to ask for corn. The waitress went and hooked it up for us, the cooks didn't. The tortillas were straight rubber. The vegitables were not consistant some raw some burned some cooked right. The steak was good for her, I found it too peppered. The rice was a little sour because everything was covered in some strange fruity shake or shaved citrus peel. The price wasnt outrageous just based on better food, so I feel I got a little ripped off. In the end I wish I took the money I paid and traded it for a dollar that way I'd be able to buy a candy bar and feel a little satisfied.
