Jeweler's Row is an odd place; you've got your pushy, high-end expensive big box shops, you've got your sketchy "Joe The Jeweler Will Buy Your Gold" places, and very little middle ground.
Marchi is one of the very few places in between those extremes; and offers better service and value than either could hope to match. John is an extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and above all friendly salesman. He takes time to explain the nuances of jewelry quality and value, even when dealing with extreme laypeople like myself. I bought my fiancee's engagement ring from him, he was extremely patient with the barrage of questions I posed him with and provided clear, understandable answers for everything. Ultimately he put together a beautiful ring for a better price than any of the other shops I looked at, and my girlfriend absolutely loved it - hence my girlfriend now being my fiancee.
Over-the-top 100% highly recommended.

On the recommendation of Eva P. who works for my firm, Keystone Concierge, I went to see John of Marchi to get my engagement ring sized.  He patiently explained the benefits of adding extra platinum to the ring (a very nice hand-me-down from Aaron's family) was beneficial over stretching the band.  The cost of doing so was still very reasonable.  He also showed me how to clean my ring even pulling out a toothbrush from a drawer when explaining brushing under and around the stone.  John assists his clients with custom pieces as well as consigning pieces for local, upscale jewelry artists such as Eva.  I will go back to Marchi when we are ready to purchase our wedding bands as the service was friendly and superb!
