After writing a brief glowing review on Google reviews about a year ago, I feel I must write another review on Yelp to continue to convey how absolutely incredible Dr. Karen and her team is.
We moved over to MLPC just over a year ago after a bad experience with another vet in the vicinity. I was immediately impressed that Dr Karen talked with me at length on the phone about the care of our dog i.e. home feeding. Our initial experiences were all beyond excellent. The surgery is so laid back, and our dog LOVES going here! She loves Buzz and of course the cats..
At Christmas we wanted to take our dog into the State of Hawaii (who have a 3 page checklist of all the things you need to do) - Karen and the team took complete care of everything, no charge for any of the organizational stuff, just part of the care package. They just wanted us to all have a lovely time in Hawaii for Christmas - so kind.
We recently needed to take our dog back to them for a second operation. I already had complete confidence in the team and yet they still managed to bring tears to my eyes with their endless generosity, care and compassion for both myself, my husband and our dog. Karen even popped over to our house on her way home the evening after the surgery to help us with a little issue we had. How rare to find someone that cares THIS MUCH. Our dog is of course healthy and happy and recovering well now.
To put it simply, these guys are so far beyond an average vet, that I would wager this is probably THE best vet team in Seattle. Period - they are in a totally different league.

I love this place. This is a great clinic with a great group of people! Everyone, from the vet to rest of the staff, are helpful and friendly. We recently moved out of state, but we took our dog here regularly when we lived in the area. We always had a good experience, whether she was getting shots or just feeling sick.
Maple Leaf Pet Corner has managed to be professional while remaining personal. The facility is always clean, but still cozy. Their services are affordable and high quality. They are always gentle and caring with our dog. The vet is easy to talk to and willing to answer all our questions. If you're looking for a place to take your pet for regular visits, look no further. -

We've since returned and still love it! Everyone here is great!
My dog was a little more antsy this time since she wasn't sick, but still better behaved here than at any other vet we've been to.
(Also, it turned out my dog ate too much peanut butter in the episode from my original review. She's totally fine now, and the lab work was key in identifying the problem.)1 Previous Review: Show all »

I adore our vet!
We recently got a mini-schnoodle and really had no idea how to pick a vet. After the great reviews here, we decided to give this place a try. We were so glad we did.
When our little boy came home he had some parasites that Dr. Karen Konz-Hofmann took care of right away. She has an excellent bedside manner with dogs and cats. And didn't mind that my 2 year old loved to come along for visits. My little schnoodle is always happy to go to the vet and never minds his shots. We recently had him neutered and it was such a simple procedure. They took such good care of him!
The staff, the staff animals like Buzz, and Karen are just wonderful people and I trust them with the care of my puppy.
Luckily I haven't had to use them for any emergencies but I feel confident they would help if there were any.
I plan to start bringing my kitties here too! -

We moved to Seattle from Brooklyn in July, and in September one of my cats got a nasty eye infection on a Sunday. Of course, all the vet clinics I called were closed, and I left about 6 frantic messages on various machines. Maple Leaf Pet Corner called me back the same night and got me an appointment the next morning.
The office was warm and inviting; the vet was kind, professional, and efficient; and the visit plus the medication cost $70.
Even though we have to borrow a car to take our cats here, we are now loyal Maple Leaf Pet Corner clients. -

Karen Konz DMV is a bright beam of sunshine when your pet has a problem. She obviously LOVES what she does and is so pasionate about her profession.
I took my puppy there for his second-round of booster shots (post-infant stage). She was gentle and caring. She gave great advice and was very knowledgable. She even found out why our dog kept scratching his ears so much.
The pricing is reasonable as vets go; they're pretty standard. But they're also very flexible; if you have scheduling conflicts they totally work around them.
A pleasant experience for me, if not for my dog.Listed in: My Neighborhood

Dr. Karen is the vet that I have had care for my kitties for the last few years. When I knew that I would be losing my older cat to Kidney failure they gave me a kitten that Abby one of the assistants had been fostering. When it came time to put my cat to sleep they made the experience not so hard it was still very hard and sent me his paw print later. They not only care about your pet they care about you.

I got a puppy a few months ago and a friend of mine recommended going to see Dr. Karen since she had volunteered in her clinic before. I'm really happy I did because Dr. Karen is awesome and so are her assistants! I've been taking my puppy there for months now and we've always had a great experience and lots of treats to keep my wiggly pup focused. I was worried that my pup would be afraid of the vet but he's always excited to see her!
I would recommend Maple Leaf Pet Corner and Dr. Karen to everyone! -

Dr. Karen was fantastic, so gentle despite my puppy trying to bite her fingers off during the entire exam! She did a thorough exam and spotted an ear infection that another vet missed just a day earlier. Although we live in another country now, I will be bringing my doggie to Maple Leaf when we visit Seattle this summer!

My dogs love coming to see Dr. Konz - which says a lot. You dont' have to drag them by the leash once they see where they're going. They actually right up to the front door (after of course peeing on every single bush and fence along the way).
The clinic itself doesn't even seem like a vet clinic. It's a cute little house with a front door and a little porch. Inside is more like a clinic (front desk, waiting chairs, fish tank), but there's also a sweet little "house dog" with this crazy under-bite who greets everyone. The staff also let's your dogs roam the place and check things out. It's much more relaxed than most of the vets I've been to, and I think my dogs can sense that.
I'm only giving a four because sometimes it seems that they push medicines and treatments that maybe you don't absolutely have to give your little furry friends which of course drives the bill up. -

I just changed to Maple Leaf Pet Corner recently bc of a friends recommendation and also bc my old vet was too far(kenmore) . The whole experience was extremely comforting and pleasant from the second I walked in until I paid my bill.
Dr. Karen Konz has a trusting friendly energy and have already suggested 2 other friends to go to her. -

There are many other great vets closer to me, but I travel across town to Maple Leaf Pet Corner because of the great care there. Not only does Dr. Karen love animals generally, I feel like she loves my dog, Mari. Plus Mari loves going there (she gets treats!)

We chose Maple Leaf Pet Corner through yelp due to its proximity to our residence and the great reviews it received. Choosing a quality vet was a concern for us being new puppy owners. Our first visit went very smoothly. Dr. Karen was excellent with our little puppy. He put up some resistance at first but Dr. Karen was very patient with our pup. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. The staff there is awesome and caring as well. And most importantly Rooney loves going to the vet(almost too much!)

today i Visit Dr. Karen again for my puppy's Giardia Vaccine, she is still professional again, and still use trick to give my Domino a shot, Domino didn't know he get a Vaccine, very happy to see it again, because i don't want to see my puppy crying, and the assitant is very friendly also, and of course, Domino played with " BUZZ " again, BUZZ is still very friendly dog, Domino try to kiss him, BUZZ didn't attack him, and Dr. Karen told me to let Domino play with her 2 kitty & BUZZ without leash, and they are good, because all the " Maple Leaf Pet Corner " are friendly and professional, again, ask Dr. Karen's help, ur animals will get real help. I absolutely love Dr. Karen Konz. She is an amazing vet who literally saved my cat's life after another vet botched a procedure on his large intestine. She is caring and wonderful, and will often stay late to take care of emergency cases. Her prices are reasonable and she volunteers with the Seattle Animal Shelter. She's an amazing person, has wonderful staff, and I wouldn't trust my pets to anyone else's care.

I continue to have great experiences here. My puppy LOVES going to the vet (I hope this lasts! So far, so good!) To top it off, I referred a client of mine here - a senior, whose cat was dying. I am always nervous to recommend businesses to clients, but I need not have worried. Dr. Karen went above and beyond and my client is so grateful. She even did a house call so my client's cat would be comfortable at home as she was put to sleep.

The staff and vet are so nice and are very gentle with your little friends. I highly recommend Maplel Leaf Pet Corner to anyone who is looking for exceptional care and love.
