Review from Nicole S.
Ok so gourmet cheese and chocolate in one place is heaven on earth!!! It's a rather small shop but they have a nice selection of items. The homeade fudge is absolutely delicious! And when it came to the cheeses I had a difficult time deciding on what to get. I ended with the veggie and the apple cinnamon. I know it may sound a bit strange and I didnt think I'd be sold on it but it has such a unique taste I can't stop eating it. You absolutely must stop in if you are visiting this charming little swiss town!

Well, to be honest, I couldn't buy anything because all I had were $20 bills and they won't accept $20 bills for any orders that equal less than $15 and I wasn't about to spend $15 or more on chocolate and cheese that will melt or spoil in the car. I couldn't try anything because he hadn't put out any samples and he seemed kind of grumpy so I didn't even want to ask. Sorry, Maple Leaf! Your shop is neat, but your policy bites!

Went here after a bakery stop, and the only disappointing thing was that the cheese samples were all gone! They all needed to be replaced and the staff looked like they were wayyy too busy to do so...I wanted to try some cheese, damn it! Oh well, next time! I did try a root beer float and that was definitely tasty and hit the spot on a hot day :)

This is a must-stop if you're visiting New Glarus. Barb and Steve operate this gourmet specialty food shop, which has enough goodies to impress this jaded city girl. The fudge is phenomenal, and you're sure to find something you like in the large cheese case. I didn't try the ice cream, but heard lots of people saying "mmm!" while licking their cones. Gets crowded on summer weekends, so there might be a bit of a line, but it moves quickly.

This place has a good selection of both chocolate and cheese. Some of the best fudge you can find in the area. Make a stop after visiting the New Glarus Brewery.
