I love mountains and while it was quite warm in Moab, the La Sal Mountains still had snow. We came here to cool down and to build snowmen. So fun!
The spruce, fir and juniper trees have a serene beauty during the colder months. The drive out there took about an hour or so from Moab and we passed by the Colorado River. I didn't realize that the forest was that close to the desert like areas.
