What can I say that others haven't already. Twenty plus years eating here and almost nothing has changed except the smoking so that should say it all. PLEASE remember if you have health issues, cholesterol, heart issues, diabetics, or concerned with your weight, turn away now. The food is truck stop food, LARGE portions, great prices, and just folks slinging hash. When I worked two blocks away we ordered carryout three or four times a week. Not healthy, I know. However, the portions are so large two people can easily split a meal which around $6 or $7. Cheap eating for two on a budget. The menu is large but be sure to ask what the specials are for the day. They sell out fast since they only offer on certain days. My husband and son love the salmon patties on Friday.
We rarely eat in but only because we enjoy eating in front of our TV with our fur babies. I've had practically ever item on the menu and some are greasier than others. We order a lot of salmon patties on Friday, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mac/cheese, country fried steak with white gravy, and my personal favorite is the roasted turkey and dressing with double dressing and corn. Seriously enough for two people or two separate meals. We haven't had a grease issue with any of these. The T-Bones are tender and seasoned well. Breakfast are good but fried in lots of butter or grease. Biscuits and white gravy is terrific. Mann's is always busy so if you call for take out be prepared for a busy signal but just dial back immediately. Once you get through the order taker most likely will be talking to you and someone else off and on since she's handling 5 different things while she's on the phone. Our carry out orders are perfect 99.0 percent of the time. Most of the containers are filled to the very top of the containers so be careful carrying it home. Later in the day they run out of popular items so be prepare for a back up selection if you come later than 7:00 pm. The average wait time for your carry out order is 10-15 minutes. They don't mess around.
The clientele ranges from locals, truck drivers, business Presidents & CEOs, salesmen, factory workers, and anyone who loves cheap comfort food prepared well for a greasy spoon eat here often. Nothing fancy but decent, cheap food, large quantities served by friendly servers. Please tip well even though the food is inexpensive if you enjoyed your food and experience. Even a greasy spoon doesn't justify a two dollar tip.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Betty H.IN, IN03113Apr 10, 2024
Great find!! Fantastic service and delicious food. My husband loved his liver and onions and he is picky about them. My meatloaf was really good with gravy and I am usually a fan with ketchup. Sides were really flavorful and portions were big. Only issue we were too full for dessert. They all looked so good!!

I ordered the catfish plate it came with two sides, my sides were cucumber salad and Mac & cheese. The catfish was very good, it was breaded and a big portion size. The Mac & cheese was decent a little watery for my preference but the flavor was good. I didn't love the cucumber salad the dressing was like a ranch but it tasted vinegary so idk if that was on purpose or it had gone bad. For desert I had the strawberry shortcake it was decent.
The servers were very nice but I ordered mine to go! Didn't take too long.
Today was my first time trying it so idk how it's usually but it was very busy and a little cramped, it had a small town diner vibe so that's to be expected. Overall not bad!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 28, 2022
This is a good old down home diner. It is the definition of hole in the wall. I almost let the photos of what appears to be a fake profile deter me from coming here.
They have a decent sized dining area, a covered patio outside the front door, and a decent amount of private parking available. It is an older restaurant. I would agree with some of the other reviews and say that the place could be a tad bit cleaner. But it is not horrible as evident that I still ate there. The menu is packed with homestyle favorites including chicken, pasta, burgers, pulled pork, turkey, meatloaf and salads. They serve breakfast and lunch and the staff there was very friendly. This place gets crazy around lunch time. Apparently, everybody knew about this place except me. You can call your order ahead, which I highly recommend doing if your are getting your food to go. I decided to dine in. They had table service and my server was prompt and attentive.
I ordered the fried pork chop dinner, with a side of steak fries and mac & cheese. It took about 5 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh and hot. It was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The macaroni and cheese was extra cheesy, like I like it and I loved the breading on my pork chops. It was a ton of food. I am a big guy and could seriously only eat half of it. I had lunch for another day. The food here is very affordable. When I went to check out, I though they had rung me up wrong at first. You get a lot of bang for your buck here.
I really enjoyed my meal here and glad I was able to check it out. I highly recommend not judging a book by its cover and giving this place a shot.Helpful 9Thanks 1Love this 8Oh no 1 - Jill B.Sunman, IN8185Dec 15, 2023
I am in town for business and wanted lunch. Used Yelp to find a nearby spot. I was put off a bit by location and look outside. Inside was organized chaos. It was PACKED!! I chose beef manhattan per server recommendation. It was a ginormous serving. I suggest sharing. When I saw other's breakfast orders I was kinda Jealous, wish I chose breakfast. It was nothing fancy, but satisfying. Food was very good, staff were friendly and price was very reasonable. Try it.

I've been eating at Mann's Grille for over 30 years because of the good food, large portions and affordability. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. Mann's breakfast has generous portions and affordable.
This isn't the place to dine if you're looking for healthy food because this is down home cooking with fried foods, foods smothered in gravy and again, large portions. If you're good with that then definitely go for it. You can call to place an order and pick up about 10 -15 minutes later. They don't waste time. If the phone is busy or no answer during business hours, then just keep calling. Their crazy busy with carryouts. Otherwise, dine in is Back! We always do carry-out and dine at home with our fur babies. The food remains hot after a 15 minute drive and leftovers reheats well.
They offer daily specials so be sure to ask about. Friday's are Salmon Patties and they were exceptional tonight, per my husband. Thick, tender, prepared perfectly and they always remind him of his Mother's Salmon Patties. I had the Country Fried Steak with Extra White Gravy. Yes, it's excessive but I love lots of white gravy on my Country Fried Steak. The Mac n' Cheese is thick and cheesy and the green beans are tasty.
Other items we order often is the Turkey and Dressing (2 sides), Meatloaf w/brown gravy, Excellent Catfish (2 massive lightly breaded fillets), Ham & Beans w/Cornbread (1 side), Beef or Chicken n' Noodles, generous serving of Turkey or Beef Manhattan w/mashed potatoes (1 side) and most dinners come with 2 side dishes. You'll find an extensive list of southern side dishes from Au Graten potatoes, fried green tomatoes, fried potatoes, macaroni salad, Mac n' Cheese plus so much more.
If you enjoy down home southern cooking then give them a visit. Your stomach and wallet will thank you.Helpful 14Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 1Oct 26, 2013Previous reviewWhat can I say that others haven't already. Use to be a good place to eat. Last two times I went in we were given dirty utensils and coffee cups. Like I said I gave them two chances because I use to eat there all the time. No more Mann's Grilled for me. The place has gone to hell. No thanks.

I have heard about Mann's Grill for years and had never stopped by, but my coworkers and I were working at a site in the area so we decided to stop for a late lunch, around 2:00 pm.
None of us had been here before so we took some time looking at the menus. I scrolled through reviews from some of my favorite Yelpers, and decided on the salmon patties. One of my coworkers ordered a salad and chicken, the other ordered a steak strip dinner.
My salmon meal came with two sides, and I chose the fried potatoes and mac & cheese. Not a healthy meal, I know, but I am seldom in this area and wanted to sample them based on some of the reviews.
Salmon patties were excellent! They were perfectly cooked, lightly browned and crispy on the edges. Easily the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Fried potatoes were browned and crispy on the outside and soft inside. Mac & cheese was creamy and delicious.
The meals were huge! If I came here with family or friends I would definitely split an entree, or maybe order two entrees to share among three people so you could all sample different menu items.
If I was only going to rate the food this would be a five star review for sure. But taking the entire dining experience into consideration I have to take away a star.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the place could use a good cleaning. When we walked in we were invited sit anywhere we would like. We walked around looking for the least dirty table, as there were no clean tables. We passed up a couple of tables because there were crumbs or spills on the seats. We finally settled on a booth but we had to brush food off of the seats and wipe the table with hand sanitizer (that I always carry with me) before we sat down.
I was sitting next to the tile wall and it was apparent that it had not been cleaned for some time. There was not only what appeared to be recent splatters and grease but also ground-in grime. I am always conscious of cutting businesses some slack during these times when many are short staffed, but this place needs to be deep cleaned. Even some surface cleaning would go a long way toward improving the experience for their customers.
A tv was blaring very loudly high on the wall behind us. Even though we were the only diners in the area we could barely carry on conversation and be heard. I would have asked the server if it would be possible to lower the tv volume but she didn't reappear until we were ready to leave anyway.
The biggest problem we experienced was that there was a crowd of at least a dozen smokers standing directly in from of the entrance when we arrived. We had to walk through a large cloud of smoke just to get to the door. Then when we left we walked through another cloud of smoke as there were 6 or 8 people standing around smoking immediately outside the door. We are all nonsmokers and on our lunch break during our work day. We definitely don't want our hair and clothing to smell like smoke as we are seeing clients the rest of the day. My suggestion would be for the restaurant to move the smoking area away from the front door.
I can definitely understand the popularity of this place, as the food is excellent and portions are huge. Two meals could probably be split among two adults and three kids so it would be an excellent budget-friendly dinner.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kathryn M.Williams, AZ076Jan 7, 2024

The price, the food, the quantity
Just don't expect fancy. Expect feeling like you're eating at a neighbor's house.
