The quaint town of Manitou Springs offers great shopping, good restaurants and bars, adorable bed and breakfasts, and astounding scenery, all of which makes this a great spot for a weekend getaway. away from Denver.
There are plenty of modern marvels here to keep you occupied, but if you happen to be hankering for a real dose of nostalgia, spend an hour perusing the town's yesteryear arcade, an indoor and outdoor wonderment chock-block with carousels, automated fortune tellers, pinball machines, Skee-Ball, and infinite sugar possibilities like saltwater taffy, caramel corn, and cotton candy.

This place will blow your mind! They have everything from old-school pinball to 2 player games where you blow up Aliens. We went during a weekday so it wasn't crowded. This was definitely very fun and will be a memorable part of our honeymoon. I felt like a 60's era teenager courting with my sweetheart, but really it would be fun for pretty much anyone. The staff was useless, but that's really no different than other arcade on the planet. The upside to that is that we really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our favorites were DDR and this archaic BlackJack game. Some of the games were not entirely operational, but everything was so cheap that a few lost quarters here and there were no big deal. We spent less than 40$ for the whole afternoon and even walked away with a reasonable prize after trading in our tickets. We will come back here as often as we can.

This place is like stepping into the best of a boardwalk, county fair, and amusement park all in one. On Sunday night we spent dueling on an old pinball machine that was a bargain at only 25 cents a 2 player game. I wished we had another night to spend in Manitou Springs so we could do it one more night.
