6 reviews for Manhattan Beach
Very convenient for me to get to, and always a lot of fun. I used to ride my bike all the way down here, but with this heat it's easier to just hop on the train. If I'm not napping on the beach, or jumping in the water to escape the heat, I'm people watching on the boardwalk.
Lots of friendly people around. You can get in on a game of soccer, football, or even volleyball if you're capable. Don't be the drunken out of shape guy who ruins the game either. Actually just don't be drunk on the beach. It's too hot out there for all that. Today it's supposed to be 96 degrees, and I want nothing to do w/this air conditioner. I'm going to get in the water & wade w/the floaters.

Decent beach, but its like you have to drive there and sometime for me its hard to find...Parking is not free...The stands are not always open but it is more private and a bit cleaner than Brighton beach..

Maybe not as bad as Brighton beach but still... a smaller version of it
Broken glass in the sand
Crowded beyond any point necessary
Jelly fish in the water
People Making BBQ every where and not cleaning up
Smoking
Drinking
Nasty not clean bathrooms
Loud Music...
Everything you can imagine floating in the water
UM no thanks.....
One of the nicest beaches within the five boroughs. It's decent sized so there will enough room for your blanket. If you want to use the barbeque pits during weekends in the summer I would get there early to claim your spot. It's a little further out compared to Brighton and Coney Island but worth the trip because it's much cleaner.

Um, not really. Inconvenient to get to, and there are so many better options. Why settle for less? After all, we're New Yorkers, and we demand the best.
