Good place to stay. It's one of the older Marriotts's where you have the typical rooms. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. They even give bath and body works shampoo and lotion.
The lobby area is very beautiful and I believe that there is free wifi downstairs. The pool is very small but it does have a view of the golf course.

Lots of meetings are held there and they do have some large banquet rooms.

Pros: on a very busy street so it's walking distance to grocery store: Fresh and Easy, Bristol Farms and some restaurants such as Johnny Rockets, Houstons, McCormicks and Schmicks, Jamba Juice, Cozymels
The gym is very nice! Each treadmill or elliptical has it's own tv and they provide towels. You can even have a view of the golf course and pool while you are running on the treadmill. It's nice how they provide water too that has fresh lemon in it.

Cons: Parking is $17.00 a night even if you are a hotel guest.

Rooms are your typical Marriott rooms.  The lobby is great  - very spacious, lots of plush seating, and there is a lobby bar.  The pool and hot tub are both on the smaller side.  Towels are provided at the pool area.

Lots of business meetings and events are held here.

Shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Parking is $14 if you're not a hotel guest.  If you are a hotel guest make sure you get the parking pass from the front desk.  Otherwise they'll make you pay the 14 bucks.

This is one of the older full Marriotts, built decades ago. However, it has been updated with new carpets and wall coverings and is in a good location, and with a steam cleaning of the exterior, would be pretty nice overall.

It is only 3 miles south of LAX and it is close to the businesses in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo and close to the I-405. It has a Par 3 Golf Course in its back yard, which is viewable from half the rooms in this 7 story structure! The pool isn't resort level, but  adequate and also has a view of the Golf greenery and has deck chairs and 3 covered Cabanas.

Parking is in an attached structure connected to the hotel, with self-parking at $15/day and Valet at $18. The rooms are typical for Marriotts. My bed was more comfortable than almost all of Marriott's lower brands, like Courtyard, Residence Inn, Townplace, etc. 5 pillows to boot.

There are several office buildings withn walking distance, one of them housing a nice 24 Hour Fitness Gym, but the Hotel's own excersize room is better than most, with 10 C/V machines and 6 separate weight machines, free weight dumbells, a large ball,  3 yoga mats, and TV. All of the machines look brand new and in excellent condition.

The strange quirk was when they remodelled the room closets, The hanging bar is too far forward, so you can't hang anything and close the closet door!

The TV is still a Tube versus a flat screen, but the desk is large, although I had troubles with my internet connections, which cost $9.95 day. They leave you the ubiquitous bottle of water, but here it is double size in volume and they only charge you $2.50 instead of the outrageous $5 some hotes rip you for. I am sure if I was still a Gold Marriott member ( I am only Silver now, because I have been staying more at HIlton's the last year). Usually Marriott Gold members have a concierge room to relax and eat breakfast and cocktails in the evening, but I didn;t check to see if they had one.

The best thing about this Marriott on this stay? The rate I got.. They were running a weekend "get-a-way" special, where if you stayed 3 nights (Fri-Sat-Sun) it was only $69/night! (This was direct from Marriott's website for elite members).

Too bad there was nobody with me to enjoy that great 69 (uh, rate, that is!)

Ahhh....so many memories at this place and all these memories come back to me as I write this review. Hmm let me start with I've never actually stayed at this hotel or even seen the inside of there any rooms but I've been to numerous events here and that's what leads me to writing this....

This is the place where my high school prom was at. The ballroom itself is decent but the dance floor was kinda tiny.

This is also the place where several of my coworkers had a retirement party. They actually had it in the hotel's outdoor patio and that was really nice. The patio faces the golf course and the view is beautiful (definitely a deserves a yelp star for the gorgeous view.)

This is also the place where my company had a celebration lunch for when we successfully met a deadline. The celebration lunch was actually really nice. There was a yummy salad with goat cheese as a starter, grilled chicken with veggies as a main dish and a big piece of cheesecake with strawberry flavor. Haha I think the best part of the meal was the grilled chicken because I swear it was shaped like a heart. I thought it was cute and so I took a photo of the dish with my cellphone. I sure got a lot of razzing from my coworkers because of that. Someone even teased me when the cheesecake came and said "look your cheesecake looks like Paris Hilton."...eek...aww but really the chicken looked like a heart. I'll let you folks decide because I'll upload the pic here ;).

Anyways the functions I've been to at this hotel have always been fun. It's a great location and the hotel itself has a nice, clean atmosphere throughout the place. I believe they remodeled or did some updates to the decor because the lobby looks really good now. It's very classy looking and just gives people a nice feel when they walk in.

A great lobby, excellent views out the back.  But terrible sales staff.

I tried to go back to celebrate my anniversary, and get the same room we spent our "first night together" (as a married couple).  They told me they could not reserve the exact suite because "if the people in the room decided to stay longer ...".

As much as I travel, I have never heard such a thing.  And I have tried to extend stays many times.

Nice hotel.  Nice lobby.  Good beds and room comforts.  Convenient central location.  Decent rates.  However, I think that charging $15 for parking is bogus.  A bit deceptive really, and makes the value calculation a litle different..  If it were not for that, I'd give it 4 stars.

I come here often for company meetings and parties but I have never stayed here the photos of the rooms look nice though.

Located just off Rosecrans, behind Manhattan Village and next to the Manhattan Beach Country Club.  It seems to be mostly a business hotel and I do occasionally see tour groups and well as sports teams here.  The back of the hotel overlooks the country club golf coarse as well as the pool.

There is valet, self parking in the parking structure just East of hotel and street parking as well.

I stayed here for four nights and was very happy with my accommodations. I reserved a room with two full size beds, but was traveling alone and so the front desk switched me to a king. The bed was soft and overflowing with pillows.
The hotel was very convenient to metro and the beach. Everyone I talked with thought I was crazy for riding the metro to and from downtown LA during Book Expo. But I didn't have to deal with traffic and at night I was able to dine by the beach.
On my third night at the hotel I ordered buffalo wings and a pizza from room service. This was a great idea since it did not take long and the food tasted good. The food wasn't great, but tasty enough for the convenience.
I did require internet access, but after the second day it stopped working and the technical support person at Ibahn was unable to get it back up and running. After a few minutes I got over the loss and went to the beach. I wasn't charged for the days I didn't receive service, so there was no need to get worked up about it.
Overall it was a great experience staying in Manhattan Beach and in particular at the Marriott.

Convenient location off of 405, right next to a few plazas with good food options.  A WholeFoods is just down the road on Sepulveda (North).
Very nice gym with all sorts of masochistic equipment.  They serve (separately) iced cucumber and lime water, so scurvy be gone!!!
Concierge/club lounge has nice goodies

I usually stay at this hotel when I venture back to the South Bay. They've updated the decor a bit--the jury's out on that for me, but it's conveniently located and impeccably clean. The room rates aren't out of control for L.A., either.

I had the best night sleep ever on a bed here.  I don't remember much else about the amenities or the area but i wish I could have taken that bed  home with me.

I would have been happier if this Marriott was actually on the beach. But since this world isn't perfect and Marriott gives me no love for having Gold Status (no thanks to all you Platinum members), I guess it's still a pretty decent hotel. They are located in a convenient location and own a big golf course in their backyard. Their concierge lounge serves a limited but quality selection of snacks and breakfast items. I appreciate that the lounge is open 24 hours, which is extremely useful for someone like me who sneaks up there in a robe at odd hours of the night to grab snacks and [nonalcoholic] drinks.
