We were craving thai during the hurricane and they delivered!

    We ordered:
    Thai Ice Tea  $ 2.00
    Pad Thai  $ 8.00
    Fresh Rolls  $ 5.00
    Veggie Pancake  $ 4.00
    Veggie Dumpling  $ 5.00
    Chicken Roti  $ 13.00
    Tofu Jungle Curry $10.00

The veggie pancake is something I've never tasted before, but will order again and again. The crunchiness of the deep fried chive pancakes with the sweet soy sauce was to die for... a favorite for all 3 of us. The fresh rolls were perfect as well. We weren't too enthused on the veggie dumplings, but our judgment may have been jaded by the pancakes.

All of our entrees tasted really good, but I was a fan of the Jungle Curry. The Pad Thai was good, but not outstanding in anyway.

    Highly recommended!!

Pretty solid for take-out. No bells or whistles- but if you're looking for decent Thai, this will do you just fine.

Oh, but the tofu is sort of strangely prepared. Just get veggie.

We used to order from here quite often - but the food has been REALLY salty lately so we've been ordering this a lot less. The sausage fried rice is ADDICTIVE. the basil fried rice is super peppery (the cracked black kind, not the bell pepper kind). Mango salad is refreshing with a bit of a kick.

I'm partial to the pad see ew (very accommodating to my chicken+tofu order) - but again, lately it's just TOO salty.

After my sushi fiasco at Poke, it was no surprise I was searching Seamless for delivery options. I've driven by Manee Thai a few times and was curious so I decided to try it out. We ordered pad thai with tofu ($8), chicken pad kee mao ($8), green papaya salad ($6), and two thai iced teas ($2 each). I asked for no ice in the tea, extra lemon/lime slices on the side and hot chili sauce too. Not only was my food delivered to me in 20 minutes but they got all of my little instructions right. Most places tend to ignore the little details but Manee didn't. The food was pretty good but like other yelpers have mentioned the portions are a bit on the small side.

We ordered take out from this place - definitely better than chinese food in my opinion. We ordered the beef pad see ew, chichen pad khee mao and the pineapple fried rice. All were very tasty and had fresh ingredients. The only thing that we ordered that wasn't that great were the vegetable dumplings. They were a bit chewy and the sauce they came with was too strong.

This place is awesome.  Always fresh.  Piping hot.  The people who work here are angels.  I always order veggie and tofu pad thai, and the veggie dumplings.  The vegetables are plentiful and taste fresh.  Love you guys!

It's a shame that Manee isn't better. It's conveniently located, cheaply priced and has nice insides for the price. Don't you ever wonder why cheap Thai restaurants can offer more in food and setting than other cheap choices?

Unfortunately Manee's portions are tiny and the flavors not nearly as distinct compared to National on Fulton. The kee mao felt like it was half the size of National's, and it tasted even more like the watered-down American-style of Thai food that is certainly everywhere. This is probably not because the chefs can't make better food, but because this is what people want when they order takeout Thai food. I guess I shouldn't be let down then.

I did not know until a few months ago that I only had to walk a few more blocks down Myrtle for even better Thai food than Myrtle Thai.  It still is not as good as I've had, but definitely the best out of the three options (Thai 101, Myrtle Thai, and Manee Thai) on Myrtle Ave.  I'm still getting around to trying all of their dishes, but my favorites so far are their spicy green beans and pad kee mao.  They all still need a little splash of spicy fish sauce, but like it is good.

    (Delivery sucks though)

Pad See Ew is delicious, veggie dumplings are nice, and they have very, very tasty spring rolls. Combined with the fact that delivery is pretty freakin' fast, I'm happy. Also, it's really not that expensive, which is quite nice. Is it my favorite restaurant ever? No, probably not. But I do like it quite a bit, and have ordered from here quite a few times. No other thai restaurant for me, really.

I've liked this place since I moved to the neighborhood, but it never really stood out until we ordered the basil sauce with fried fish. YUM. Excellent flavor and unusual for a takeout place to offer fish, delicious too.

Their curries are consistent and delicious, and the service is always good.

I was even more impressed when I ordered delivery recently, something I seldom do, and my curry showed up piping hot, and my Thai Iced tea ice cold - faster than I would have thought possible. Well done, Manee!

I am only reviewing the take out from Manee, but DAMN IS IT GOOD!

I live right around the corner from this little gem on Myrtle and am so glad that I found it.

Great curries, wonderfully warm pad thai, and delicious spring rolls and soups. All of these things together make Manee Thai our go to spot if we want to have some Thai food in a pinch.

Again, I have never eaten in this place, but I would be happy to if I was going to have this quality food everytime. It may not be like Joya, but for something that is close and delish, Manee will continue to be my go to place.

I have ordered from here on 4 occasions now, and they are very consistent.

i only have ordered the Pad Thai so I can't judge the other cuisine. with that said this is some damn good Pad Thai. There are a few Thai places in Fort Greene that I've sampled but Manee's Pad Thai is far superior than the rest. And the price is on point.
My buzzer usually  rings within 15 minutes after ordering, they're f'ing fast.

I can't say enough good things about this joint.  We order delivery WAY too often from there, and it's a great experience from beginning to end!

The woman on the phone is super friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, our complicated orders are always put together correctly, and the delivery is lightning-quick.  I mean, SURPRISINGLY quick.  Like, "You're here already?" quick.

Food is delish... Coworkers rave about the Pad Thai, Pad See-Ew, and Massaman Curry.  I can't get enough fried rice, and the spring rolls are the best I've had in NYC.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE this joint!

Three stars as their food is nothing out of the ordinary, but if you're looking for some Thai on Myrtle Av. in the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene area this is the place [beats Thai 101 and Myrtle Thai]. Relatively cute interior, good service, decent prices, and adequate green curry.

On my first visit to Manee, I wasn't thinking about making an amazing restaurant discovery, I was just hungry for pad thai and I had to be in the neighborhood anyway (I host a monthly trivia night at a bar down the street). The pad thai was passable - nothing spectacular, but I'm not hard to please when it comes to pad thai, so I ate it and was happy.

A month later, it was trivia night again and it had been a good two weeks since I'd had Thai food, so we went back, and this time I decided to order adventurously. They have a dish on their menu called "Green Duck," which they should really just call "Lengthy List of Foods Jess Loves." It consisted of crispy duck, avocado, eggplant, peas, mushrooms, cashews, and red peppers in a spicy, creamy green curry sauce. All of these awesome things together was almost too much to handle at once. I don't know how authentic it is, but I don't care because it was authentically delicious, and I'm already concocting excuses to go back to Fort Greene so I can have it again.

While the Green Duck eclipses all other food interactions I've had at Manee, I can say that everything else we've had (including the aforementioned pad thai) was exactly what it purported to be. Not disappointing, though not necessarily special either. There may yet be a few more hidden gems on the menu, though. Once I can bring myself to order something new, perhaps I'll find them.

i've lived across the street from this place for almost 2 years and always stayed away from it because there's no one ever in there.  but my friend and i were talking about this place and the indian restaurant next door and she said they're probably just places that people get delivery from.

she was right.  though i went and picked it up because i couldn't admit to myself that i'm too lazy to walk across the street.

the pad thai was flavorful and the eggplant basil was quite tasty.  and all for less than $18!

some of the reviews complain about small portions, but personally, i think they're just right for the price.

Sure!  It is consistently fine - not overwhelmingly good or bad... fine.
I've ordered take out from here (as well as Thai 101 & Myrtle Thai), and to be honest, they are all, just about the same - consistently okay.
Green Curry Chicken, Pad Thai, and Spring Rolls are my consistent dishes, so I'll just focus on them:
Green Curry Chicken - It is not spicy, but it is flavorful.
The Chicken Pad Thai - this is pretty good, but also not as spicy or flavorful as I'd personally prefer.  Additionally, sometimes the chicken is sparse and dry.
The spring rolls are spring rolly - small, crispy, relatively dependant on their sauce for flavor... good
The only spotty thing is the chicken to egg plant ratio, as sometimes you get waaaaay more egg plant than chicken.  Additionally, occasionally the chicken is dry.
With all this said, this is a perfect way to warm up on a cold night in Brooklyn!

    THAI FAIL.

    No. No. No. No. No.

The noodles were stuck together, bland, repulsive. I found myself wondering "Did I order plain rice noodles?"

The spring rolls tasted as if they had been infused with a cup of grease.

    Never. Again.

This place is owned by the same folks as Myrtle Thai, the much better alternative in the neighborhood.  The family gave this business to their two sons who don't really know how to manage a business or prepare quality food at this point.  I talked to one of the sons at the counter and he, unwisely, explained that his brother makes the food "different than [his] parents."  The red curry was very watery and bland.  He also changed the lunch special price on the spot by $1.50 more and then justified it by giving me a soda.

I will only seek out Myrtle Thai in the neighborhood from now on - the parents have not yet passed the torch to their kids.

Yet another Thai Restaurant on Myrtle!!!

Of course, I simply assumed that it's a bad thing.  Right?

Well, Gretchen B. and I felt a need for some Thai.  This happens.  It apparently happens a lot - not just to us, but in neighborhoods where there are college kids (Pratt, UofC, NYU, Ithaca, you name it).

Manee would have to claim no.1 status on the Myrtle Thai Scene to justify its new existence.  We decided to give the new kid a chance.  The story - correct me if I'm wrong - is that the owner of Manee is related to the folks of Myrtle Thai.  These things also do happen - children setting up a tiny bit more fashionable - albeit same cuisine - restaurant down the street from their parents' venue.

I was skeptical, but in a good mood and also hungry.  Manee still has that classic-ish Thai vibe, complete with the portraits of the Royalty and other fine Thai-decor, but there's an undeniable "updated" feel to it, mostly due to the beautiful exposed brick wall.

As for the food, we went with Manee III, Kee-Mao, and Bean Thread, and overall, it was satisfying to pretty good.

Manee III is a plate of deep fried Shrimp, Chicken, and Squid.  The Shrimp and Chicken are encased in thin egg roll wrapper and the Squid is floured.  The chicken pieces didn't taste too fresh, but the Shrimp and Squid pieces were good.  Especially the Squid, which were juicy pieces of squid flesh.

The Kee-Mao with tofu was, I have to admit, quite delicious.  Of course, the problem with it was that the noodles were overcooked.  But the sauce was excellent and I found my chopsticks crossing over to that side of the table quite a bit.

My Bean Thread with Chicken was tasty, but not entirely interesting.  It was salty and sweet, the basic Thai modus operandi.

Service was great, but we were the only ones - after 2 other parties left - on a Saturday night.  Columbus weekend took most of the residents of Clinton Hills out of the neighborhood, we were assuming.

Manee's birth may actually turn out to be a good thing.  It's now my no.1 Thai on Myrtle.  Let's hope it can keep at it.

I muhh-ust disagree that Myrtle Thai is better. Their pork khee mao is chewy and tendony in a bad way.

Manee on the other hand has deliciously (i think) fried khee mao with better quality meat - but it can get a bit greasy.

I've tried a bunch of other stuff and have never regretted it - but i always return to the khee mao.

I only tried Myrtle Thai after reading reviews that call it the better of the two, and i regretted THAT, HARD...yuck

I'm new to Brooklyn and I love Thai food.  This was my first shot with Thai here, and knowing almost nothing about the area, I turned to Yelp for some help.

Manee Thai has some pretty good reviews and was in my delivery area, so I gave it a try.

First of all, the prices are very reasonable by New York standards, and delivery is free (minus a tip, of course).  You can order online, which is a big deal for me.  So that was 3 plusses right off the bat.

My wife and I each ordered Tom Kha Kai soup.  My wife gave it a thumbs down.  I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.  It was okay, but not the Tom Kha Kai I'm used to.  I like it to be really creamy with the coconut milk and light with the fish sauce.  This was pretty light on the coconut milk and heavy on the fish sauce.  So, if you like that, give it a shot.  I probably won't order it again.

The curry dishes were really good.  I had the green curry with chicken, which was just spicy enough for me (don't like things too spicy), and had a real nice flavor.  The eggplant in it was a nice touch.

Also tried was the Massaman Curry with tofu.  The tofu pieces were HUGE.  The flavor of this curry was fantastic.  Pineapple pieces added a nice sweet touch.

I'd order both curries again and will definitely order from here again.

This place is my favorite Thai restaurant in the world.  The curries are really good and the roti is amazing.  I lived around the corner from this place for a whole year and I went here about once a week.  It is reasonably priced, the service is excellent, everyone is so sweet and they fill your water up all the time.  It is a great neighborhood place, great for take-out and great for eating-in.

    Not vegan friendly but alright.

It is interesting to read the reviews that explain the relationship to Myrtle Thai, my go to Thai place till now. Both are among the few spots that deliver to me in Clinton Hill which is a positive, but I found I enjoyed the food from Manee a bit more.

Now put this in context, both places are about good enough to nip a craving Thai food but no more, and for around here that is pretty good. I liked the chicken satay a lot. There menu is a bit limited...no yellow curry for instance and they use fish sauce in everything.

The fish-sauce piece is key to me cause my girlfriend is vegan and I am always looking for spots were I can eat meat and she can go veggie. Apparently the sauces here are pre-made with the fish-sauce already in...but in this case I am not holding it against them.

I really appreciate the honesty and ease of communication I experienced when i called in my order. The guy told me, when I asked about fish sauce in a noodle dish, that "when people who are total vegetarians ask me if they can order here I have to tell them that there really isn't anything on the menu for them". I respect that.

So stick the menu in your drawer and give them a call now and then.

    3 stars, not fuss.

We just ordered delivery from this place and it was pretty freakin' good!. My girlfriend got the Jungle Curry with Tofu and loved it. The ingredients in the curry seemed really fresh and not oily. I got he Seeyu which was medicore--it had a little too much peanut in the sauce and the noodles where over cooked... BUT overall it was OK.

There aren't that many good Asian food choices in Clinton Hill. I would definitely pick this place over Thai 101.

I ordered delivery, and the food came quickly and was hot when we got it. Even the spring rolls were still crispy. The food was nothing special, but perfectly acceptable. It might be better when eaten at the restaurant.
