Mandy Scott Flowers was one of the easiest vendors that I have had the pleasure to work with during my wedding planning process.

Mandy  was very helpful, considering my wedding was in Berkeley, Ca. and I was planning in Tennessee. We set up a conference call, she asked me very detailed questions to get a good idea as to what I was looking for. She sent me an email with a breakdown for each portion of the wedding that flowers were needed for. If I went over budget she suggested other options. We set an appointment to meet, once I actually got to town, and she showed me flowers....REAL FLOWERS. Not just pictures.

Mandy gave me everything I wanted and even made a few suggestions that we took her up on to enhance the elegance of my wedding. In a heartbeat I would recommend Mandy Scott Flowers!!

She worked well with my budget, (although we did go over, but not because of her) and gave me everything I wanted. It was really nice to be able to tell her what was in my head, and have her create that vision. My bouquet was a dream come true!!  5 stars just doesn't do her justice!!

mandy scott was one of the best and easiest going parts of my wedding planning process.

as someone who wasnt exactly sure what flowers she wanted, mandy was able to help me visualize what i wanted in a unique and beautiful way.

after just a short conversation, she knew the aesthetic i was shooting for, and was extremely easy to work with.

the flowers were gorgeous and the whole process was completely stress free.

she is hands down the best, best, best!!!

I have ordered my wedding flowers and boutonnieres from Mandy. On a positive note, it was pretty easy to work with her; however, my bouquet started to fall apart even before the ceremony had begun so as most of the boutonnieres.  Not only were the flowers not fresh when delivered, but were delivered 2 hours prior to the arranged time. We did keep them in the fridge as long as we could, but ultimately, we were very disappointed with the quality.

I just booked Mandy Scott as my florist for my September '11 wedding.  I found her through my mom (the company she works for uses Mandy for all their floral arrangements).  She does a beautiful job!  I'll re-review after the wedding but just wanted to give kudos to Mandy for a wonderful consultation.  This woman definitely knows her business.  I'll admit, I don't know much about flowers and probably couldn't tell the difference between a hydrangea and a peony but I had pictures of arrangements and bouquets I liked (thank you The http://Knot.com).

Mandy was very patient  and explained which flowers would be in season and alternatives that will give me the same look and feel.  I rambled on for over an hour but never felt rushed.  I was extremely impressed when I received the estimate.  She captured everything I said...and was within the budget I quoted (which is fairly modest given the size of my wedding).  The customer service is top notch.  I very much look forward to working with Mandy and feel that I am in very capable hands.  One less thing for a stressed out bride to worry about :)

My coworker's husband always sends her flowers from Mandy Scott. The arrangement is always the envy amongst the ladies who sit around us.  Mandy Scott is a genius when it comes to floral arrangements. Whether is it birthday or anniversary I have not seen an arrangement I didn't like.  What i love most are the exotic flowers she uses and the tasteful arrangement. Everytime there is a delivery from Mandy Scott, all the ladies ooo and ahhh for days! You won't find plain roses or carnations (gross!) in a Mandy Scott arrangment.

From her website it seems Mandy is more of a wedding florist.  From my coworker's flowers it seems to be the case.  Most of the arrangements I have seen will look amazing as a centerpiece.  I would not define them as bouquets at all. Even the vases are not the typical tall vase, she usually uses the short squared ones.

Not sure of the price. It does look pricey though!

Gentlemen take note - order from Mandy Scott!

To be perfectly dishonest:   Mandy is a great florist, my go-to girl for projects large (like a wedding), and small (like expressing love to my wife with a small token).

An honest assessment: I'm really annoyed with the place and in no hurry to go back.

My guess: Mandy's main business is events, single bouquet sales are an interruption, perhaps a necessary evil for cash flow reasons but no more welcome then say a full body cavity search (and I don't mean one of the good ones that have a two drink minimum in Vegas, but I digress).

I spent $50 to buy my wife a small arrangement in a vase,  wasn't treated rudely but  got the very unpleasant  sense  she was doing me a favor.  She also failed to put the arrangement in the box promised and forgot that only a small amount of water was supposed to go in the vase.

Expensive, careless and (at best) undistinguished service. Two stars it is.

EDIT: the owner contacted me after reading this and was less then thrilled. i don't think yelpers should have to fear being contacted by disgruntle owners. i am willing to add that she did let me out of my contract and just used the deposit i gave her but i still had to pay an additional 300+ for some other changes i made on top of the 750 i gave her. 10 small kissing balls and two medium arrangements total.

    -------------------------------------------------- -----
    where to begin.

i got married this month and at my initial consult she was helpful but made it seem like a chore. she made me feel that because my budget was under 10k she was basically doing me a huge favor.

i thought we were on the same page about design at least so i just went with her because grace cathedral requires you use one of their florists. i gave her a deposit and checked florist off my mile long list of to do's.

a few weeks later i went in to see my mock up and it was a mess. the flowers were wilting and the colors were so much brighter then i asked for. think 7am on easter morning when you first see your basket. after i made calls to her even offering to pay more now for a different style she really was rude to me. keep in mind her prices are OUTRAGEOUS and she told me she did not apologize for it. wtf?!

at this point i decided i was going to use her for the church flowers (because i had to) and that was it. i was originally sharing the pew arrangements with another bride and mandy made me collect from the bride which has now led to a whole new problem. she did offer to help contact the bride.

in the end i didn't get a good look at the pew arrangements but the aisle flowers, which were kissing balls of roses looked good in photos but poor quality in person.

i would highly suggest you go to a different florist for better service, quality, and peace of mind. using mandy even for the church only created a mass amount of stress that no bride needs.

I received a bouquet of beautiful dahlias from a dear friend on Saturday and boy, did they make my day. It's funny, I've walked by a million times and have always admired her work (she displays some outside) but have never treated myself (see my Safeway flowers review, no kidding, those flowers are immortal. But Safeway rarely carries the more "trendy" flowers like dahlias, peonies, etc.).

Back to Mandy Scott... 5 beautiful dahlias of different colors and elegantly picked no doubt. I definitely would use her as a delivery service if you have friends in the Marina, Cow Hollow, Russian/Nob Hill and Pac Heights area. I can't give 5 stars as I don't know how her prices range, but if she beats the Bud Stop on Union, then I'd 5 star her cuz that place will botanically rape your wallet :-)

    Happy flowers...!

Ordered a large expensive plant and flower arrangement from Mandy Scott Flowers for same day delivery to celebrate my best friends bar passage. The order was placed and accepted by 8:30a.m. by Mandy Scott Flowers for delivery THAT DAY.

What Mandy Scott failed to do was deliver the flowers. They just got too busy!  Instead the flowers were delivered two days late. They should not have accepted the order if they could not fill it as promised.

Mandy Scott apparently can't pick up the phone to let you know they won't be able to deliver the order. If they had simply called I could have placed an order from somewhere else.

MORAL OF THE STORY: At Mandy Scott Flowers the customer DOES NOT always come first. Do not use unless you're cool waiting a few days.

I recently used Mandy Scott for my August 2011 wedding and loved working with her. My husband suggested I check her out based on a flower arrangement he got for our anniversary.  He thought she was nice, had great designs, and was very reasonably priced. I started the planning process wanting to do all my own flowers and slowly came to the conclusion that I needed expert assistance.   Mandy was the ONLY florist I met with that came to the table with her own vision on what I wanted. She took my ideas and made them fantastic - not just regurgitate what I thought might work. The result was stunning and simple floral designs that accented the outfits and garden venue. She was very pleasant to work with and very responsive. We ended up getting all the boutonnieres, bouquets, table arrangements and candles through Mandy. We even got credit for the vases we returned.  My husband and I now consider her "our florist" and can't imagine getting flowers anywhere else.

Today is day 2 post wedding, and I can't seem to stop thinking about my wedding. We were married at the Asian Art Museum and I never thought the museum could ever be more beautiful, but Mandy Scott made it happen. All I seem to think about today is my GORGEOUS flowers; she gave me the most beautiful flowers one can ever imagine.
Mandy is wonderfully personable, and when I had to change florists at the last minute Mandy put together my PERFECT wedding.  She never once made me feel uncomfortable with my budget!
Mandy thanks again - My flowers were my favorite part!!! It would never have been the same without you!

We were married a little over a week ago at 1 Fort Mason.  I would highly recommend Mandy for any event at any venue, but for 1 Fort Mason in particular there is no better choice.  Mandy is extremely familiar with the venue, with the lighting there, and with what extra floral touches are needed to really spruce things up.  As my maid of honor said, "I was doing just fine, but I teared up when I saw the flowers in the john."  Yes, that's right, the bathroom flowers brought tears to her eyes.

The touches throughout the venue were perfect, Mandy provided a stunning placecard tree (seriously - people were taking pictures of it) and took the time to attach the cards for us.  The personal flowers were exactly what I wanted, both in color and style.  Throughout the process, she was very accommodating about our moderate budget and our desire to reuse the ceremony flowers at the reception.

I just always felt like Mandy had it under control.  I really didn't think about the flowers except during our meetings, and I was rewarded when I arrived at the venue and saw the setup.  The flowers took my breath away - they were gorgeous.  Work with Mandy.  You won't regret it.

I am a fan of Mandy's. She was awesome working with my wedding and I recommend her for any future occasions. She was so personable and easy to work with. She even helped me with flowers for my hair and her selections are impeccable, and very helpful since I know little about flowers. The flowers were delivered on time and very beautiful. My bridesmaids and flower girl were all very impressed. I highly recommend Mandy Scott, and would definitely return to her for future floral needs.

Holy smokes!  The owner is so unbelievably rude!  I just wanted to buy flowers for an anniversary party, but she chased me out like I was a dog getting ready to pee all over her plants!  I guess it was my fault to have stumbled in when she was closing early.  The door was open!  That's the kind of service you get in the Marina.  I guess they don't want your money anyway!

I just got off the phone with the owner, Mandy as I am in Washington State for grad school, and will, sadly, be away for my sixth Valentine's Day with my wife.  Anyway, Mandy was funny, nice, smart, and sweet on the phone.  I gave my budget, and though I haven't even heard from my wife, I am thrilled with Mandy's service.  I didn't want to call an 800 number.  I wanted local.  I wanted advice.  I wanted speedy.  She did it all, quickly and efficiently.  I see some disgruntled customers below, and as a non biased 1st time customer, I was thrilled she accommodated me a day before VDay.  Thanks!  Perhaps the few peeved reviewers need more flowers in their life!

Mandy made our wedding day look like it came from the pages of Brides magazine!  We first met with Mandy in her immaculate, blooming store, where she made us feel like honored guests.  From the very beginning, her graciousness and professionalism made us feel like we were in very capable hands.  To be honest, I felt like an imposter at first.  I was sure that someone like Mandy would be WAY out of our price range, so I was thrilled when it came time to talk about our budget and she was more than happy to work with us!  In fact, when we started to get some grandiose ideas during the "planning stages", Mandy gently brought us back to earth and gave us some ideas on how we could stretch our wedding day dollars to accomodate our new floral dreams!  Any other florist would have gladly sat back and let us rack up an enormous bill, but Mandy respectfully told us that our ideas would end up costing more...and then told us exactly how she could create the same look we wanted by staying within our budget and changing a few simple things!  A wedding vendor who wants to save YOU money?  Unheard of!! Above and beyond what we could have asked for in a florist!

The first thing that truly made me feel like a bride was when Mandy arrived before our wedding to deliver our flowers.  I'm not the kind of bride who had her heart set on specific flowers, so I had given Mandy some general color ideas and let her go to town.  Actually, I don't know the difference between a Calla Lily and an Orchid, but when Mandy showed up with her hands full of radiant pink bouquets, I immediately started jumping up and down like a first grader.  From the full, blooming, artfully arranged bridal bouquet to the adorable Flower Girl "crown" and galvanized bucket of pink petals....from the pink blooms tied delicately on each tree branch to the artfully built chuppah and stunning reception arrangements....to the beautiful architecture of the branches that dramatically graced each of our tables (I had my heart set on cherry blossom branches, and Mandy gently let me know that they weren't in season...then on the wedding day I discovered that she had crafted arrangements that looked exactly like....cherry blossom branches!!)  Mandy took care of details that we hadn't even thought of!  She even stayed to help us move things from the ceremony to the reception, and then made it super convenient for us to return things to her on our own schedule.

Mandy and her team are professional, energetic, and brimming with creative (and money-saving!) ideas.  She made us feel like we could have a celebrity-style wedding, on a regular-people budget.  She is one of those very rare wedding professionals who seems to read a bride's mind perfectly....thank goodness we had Mandy to make our dream wedding a reality!

This florist provides flowers for my office.  They do the typical arrangements in vases and use nice looking flowers, tailored to holidays and occasions. The quality is good, but the flowers are pretty normal and nothing super exotic or artistic. They're bouquets, not artistic renderings. Usually they are tiered arrangements, sort of the general shape of Marie-Antoinette's hair. Very traditional in a way your mom might like.

Mandy is probably one of the best (if not the best) place to get special occassion flowers these days.  Her arrangements aren't as "organically" beautiful as The Rose & Radish in Hayes Valley but she definitely offers more variety and a high willingness to work with the customer, yet allowing her to also let her vision come through.

Prices are high...but the caliber of service is second to none.

I always get great service at Mandy Scott flowers.  I have ordered several arrangements from her and the people I send them to are always thrilled to get such beautiful flowers and designs.  I get flowers from her shop for my office and people are always complementing me on having fresh flowers and on how beautiful they are.  There are several other florists in my neighborhood, but I always go to Mandy's because I know I will get great service and be very happy with the final product.
